So frustrating that you are on a journey to harvest every species of waterfowl, but can't identify all of them that you're shooting. Is there not anyone who can even catch it during the editing process?
My five year old son and I just watched this. Cool place to hunt it looks like. He looked puzzled when you held up the hen Scaup and called it a Ringneck. Then he looked at me, and asked why are you calling it a Ringneck, when it isn’t a Ringneck. Hopefully you learn to id your birds in your future travels/videos. That’s how guys get tickets from the GW. Nice Mexican Duck. Not a Black Duck too. I completed the Waterfowl Slam in 2012 with my 20 gauge. It’s a fun journey.
I was going to make the same comment. What a great kid, even a five year old can tell you ringnecked ducks dont have white wing patches and black ducks are much darker than mexican ducks. But cool hunt.
Damn you get to go on a waterfowl slam and can’t even id a Mexican mallard vs a black duck or a hen blue bill vs a ringneck. Could at least do a little research before posting something us actual duck hunters care so much about
When he called the Mexican mallard a black duck I immediately scrolled down to the comments ...... don't have to know what they are when you have more money than gods got time I guess ....
This guy is duck shooting. Not duck hunting. Hunting is learning an area and doing the work with your own equipment to reap the rewards. This guy just shows up pays and shoots. To each his own. Not my cup of tea nor would I dare to brag about any such accomplishment. What did you do other than pull the trigger?? I'd be embarrassed to hang a pic of any such hunt or boast about my pile pic by hunting this way. Again whatever floats your boat.
Nice video, but yeah, there’s no way that the black duck in the video is an American Black Duck. It’s a Mexican Duck, Anas diazi. And your ring-necked duck is a hen Lesser Scaup.
This is some great hunting and I really enjoyed the video as well as the quality put into shooting and editing it. One note - it's very important to be accurate on waterfowl ID. The one you showed is a hen bluebill (lesser hen scaup in this case), not a ringneck, and throughout the US there's specific limits on bluebills that are not on ringnecks. Same with the black duck, some places have limits on mottled/Mexican ducks vs black ducks. That was not a true American Black Duck, it was a Mexican duck
That band is extremely neat, I live in utah about 15minutes away from centerville which has a WMA called Farmington Bay right there which is probably where they banded it at, and i actually have dealt with Mr. Hansen before in the field. Small world. Congrats!
Thank you. You should book a hunt and go enjoy it. Here is a link to it: worldwidetrophyadventures.com/trips/mexico-dove-quail-and-waterfowl-outfitter-in-sonora/
What is the deal with the pintail limit in Mexico? Seems a bit excessive given the birds current decline. Is there a particular reason it's so much higher? Other than to boost tourism from hunting.
Why do you keep saying you want cloudy skies for duck hunting? I've been ducking hunting for many years and I've never heard of a duck hunter wanting cloudy skies vs sunny skies. Every hunter I know wants the sun to use it to their advantage for hiding.
I'm 100% sure that's a Mexican Duck, which was recognized as it's own species added in 2020, that you shot on Day 4, while black ducks are exclusive to the Atlantic and Mississippi Flyways (www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/american-black-duck). I'm also 100% sure that you shot a hen or first year drake bluebill, not a ring-necked on the last day - ringers don't have a big white patch around the bill, nor do they have that much blue coloration on such a rounded bill.
Idk what’s the purpose of hunting all of those birds?! Is it for fun, business or what? Can someone explains, plz! Because I am a bird lover and I cant judge the person, but I dislike the action. Feedbacks much appreciated. Thanks
This is ridiculous! Why are you taking so many pintails, we can only take one in the US because they are struggling so much. Mexico and sportsman need to change this.

Came here to say something about that "Ringneck" lol. How are you gonna have a tv show and can't even ID the ducks you shoot

Vamonos!! Beautiful birds. Congrats on the first band in Mexico.
Thanks so much!
That’s the dream hunt!! That many pintails!!! It’s what dreams are made of!! Great video!!
You got that right!
Nice video, but yeah, there’s no way that the black duck in the video is an American Black Duck. It’s a Mexican Duck, Anas diazi. And your ring-necked duck is a hen Lesser Scaup.
Mexican duck or mottled for sure
That wasent a ring neck, it was a hen blue bill
100% hen bluebill

Not a black duck nor an mottled duck it was a Mexican duck
Damn! You certainly just put this place on my list of places I am going to hunt. Great episode!
Thanks for watching. Let the guys know when you want to book a hunt.
Looks like a hen lesser scaup at 21:28 not a ring neck. Enjoyed the video.
Great vid guys
Thanks Rudy.
That band is extremely neat, I live in utah about 15minutes away from centerville which has a WMA called Farmington Bay right there which is probably where they banded it at, and i actually have dealt with Mr. Hansen before in the field. Small world. Congrats!
That is crazy. Thanks for the comment.
Absolutely loving this series!! Congrats on the band!
Pretty cool on the gadwall man! I myself have a honker band from Mr Hansen… pretty funny to see that!
Also not a hen ring neck it’s a hen blue bill
Boy said to hell with your decoys!!! Cartel got a hit on you now lol.
Are you guys able to shoot lead down there?
Just looking back 21:14 that is a young drake bluebill Aka greater or lesser scaup
Lol not a black duck. Look at the wing speculum, Mexican mallard with both white bars.
Where did u get ur clothes- I love that black n gray camo color! What is the brand of it?
That camo is from Cabela’s. It is their instinct line of Camo. www.cabelas.com/shop/en/cabelas-instinct
Great job on the video and editing! I'm jealous of the hunt more tho.
Thank you. You should book a hunt and go enjoy it. Here is a link to it: worldwidetrophyadventures.com/trips/mexico-dove-quail-and-waterfowl-outfitter-in-sonora/
Great vid 👍🏼 that giveaway would be life changing.
Make sure you keep entering. Good Luck!
The duck on day 5 is a blue bill, they look similar to ringnecks
What is the deal with the pintail limit in Mexico? Seems a bit excessive given the birds current decline. Is there a particular reason it's so much higher? Other than to boost tourism from hunting.
Number of hunter in Mexico is less than one single state in the US.
Did you ever actually shoot a black duck and a ring neck? If not you didn’t complete the challenge
You see how he likes your statement but dosen`t respond to his ignorance?
@@scottty6250 ya
here first pumped for waterfowl season
I hunt the marsh in Utah where this bird was banded!!
That’s so cool.
That bird wasn’t a black duck, Mexican or mottled
I was thinking the same thing saw the white on his wings and immediately thought mottled extremely popular here in south Florida
👌👌👌
What is the name of the field I need to schedule for this year 2024
Give the team at Worldwide Trophy Adventures a shout!
So in the U S one sprig, but Mexico 3 maybe 4.. SMFH.
Why do you keep saying you want cloudy skies for duck hunting? I've been ducking hunting for many years and I've never heard of a duck hunter wanting cloudy skies vs sunny skies. Every hunter I know wants the sun to use it to their advantage for hiding.
I think in this neck of the woods if it was cloudy that meant weather change so thats what I was meaning.
Cloudy is better with bad weather
I'm 100% sure that's a Mexican Duck, which was recognized as it's own species added in 2020, that you shot on Day 4, while black ducks are exclusive to the Atlantic and Mississippi Flyways (www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/american-black-duck).

Mottled Duck
That was a Mexican mallard
Sweet
Not a black duck and thats not a ring neck either...
why shoot no-tox in mexico ?
So Mexico is why pintail numbers are down
Not a black duck nor was it a ringneck 😂😂 cmon guys
Use some of your money and purchase a duck ID book.
Idk what’s the purpose of hunting all of those birds?! Is it for fun, business or what?
Can someone explains, plz! Because I am a bird lover and I cant judge the person, but I dislike the action. Feedbacks much appreciated. Thanks
Brant no reason to say Brant’s it’s like Chinese you dont say Chinese’s. great vid regardless.
Mexican Duck. Not a Black Duck.
This is ridiculous! Why are you taking so many pintails, we can only take one in the US because they are struggling so much. Mexico and sportsman need to change this.
Shooting steel in a country where lead is legal is cruel and unethical.
You have to learn to id
