    Makita XSH04ZB 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Sub-Compact Brushless Cordless 6-1/2” Circular Saw
Love this little saw - very handy, doesn't bog down - does have a pretty thin kerf blade.

    Makita BL1850BDC2 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Battery and Charger Starter Pack (5.0Ah)
Nice that the charger and extra battery come in a bag, would have preferred a plastic case but the bag works.

Very nice! I've seen others use a table saw and not having one, I really appreciate this. Because I don't want or need a table saw and only have the circular saw. Thanks mate!

A better way, turn each piece 90 degrees and make a cut, turn 180 deg make another cut and wack the block out. Chisel the small remains….3 cuts per in lieu of a dozen or so.

Woodworking/construction always breaks down to solving problems given a set of constraints - think that is one of the things I love about it, there are typically many ways of approaching and solving each of the day-to-day "things" that pops up - thanks for sharing a different approach!
