I have the Amazfit Stratos, and apart from software issues I love it a lot! This one has full round display without the flat tire - but at the cost of automatic brightness control! So when it's bright daylight and the brightness was set to max (5), it consumes a lot of battery instead of detecting if there's need for backlight or not. I think I'll keep my Stratos for a bit more - there's nothing like it on the market ATM! (Mobvoi's TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE is tempting because of the dual - AMOLED and FSTN - display layers, but 4G/LTE is linked to Verizon, which we don't have in Europe.)
Very nice... I have a Stratos and love it. I wear it all the time, while my Fossil Gen4 explorist just sits on the desk charger. This version 3 seems like a nice upgrade, although I dont like the omission of an ambient light sensor, but I guess thats the price you pay for a full round display with no black screen areas.
They took the old stratos 2 case ...putted a new bezel ...to new bad located buttons.....and a better protected heart rate sensor cause the old one leaked or even the glass just dropped off......they polished a bit the ui....and i am curious to see the pricing.....
My Stratos 2 just packed up , won’t charge anymore and don’t know what to do about it, not very happy and am now very wary about buying another amazfit watch
Mine likewise died yesterday- after two years of ownership. Screen went black after fully charged. For several hours it tried repeatedly to reboot with no success. I'm taking a chance and ordered the Stratos 3. Time will tell if I'm the fool.
Kevin Koch trouble is , it’s a really nice watch, so , I don’t blame you for taking a punt on it , please let me know if it is good. After my Stratos I went Apple Watch, also very good, though my company then decided to ditch Apple and gave us all Samsung devices, so I cashed my Apple Watch for a note 8 and a galaxy watch, which I have to say is very like the Stratos
I like my Stratos watch, however it has some issues like bad contrast since one of the older updates and the display is interestingly suffering from burn in, so if I change screen I still somewhat see the "ghost" of the watchface. Also the heartbeat sensor is way off compared to more precise ECG sensors. For me this Stratos 3 doesn't look like a upgrade worth the money.
ARUN SUBRAMANIAN yes, you can. You just save your route after you have finished your run. Download the gpx data from your watch and upload it to runkeeper.
I imagine so you can do it with the previous stratos 2. I connect to BT headphones and heartrate strap. The headphones via the app settings and the sensor via the activity settings ( not obvious).
The subjected item is “Amazfit Stratos” which the issue had encountered approximately after 6 months of normal use. The issue was what I least expected since the product was especially known as a highly durable product. The back glass of the watch (under the Heart rate sensor) had dismounted from the watch without any impact. This has happened while I was wearing the watch & without my knowledge. Sametime the light rays (or light source) that are used to monitor HR, had wounded my wrist leaving a doubt that, "are these products safe to wear". The product seller & #Amazfit support team refused to claim the warranty saying that it is a physical damage, which is not. ultimately it leaves me a broken watch without heart rate sensing & with a broken airtight seal (which the specification says it can withstand 5 ATM underwater). Even the #Amazfit support team will not take responsibility for their faulty products. I presume that you should buy Amazfit products at your own risk.
ATM provides you with an indication of what depth, underwater, a device can operate. Each ATM is equivalent to 10 meters so 5ATM means the smartwatch can operate at 50 meters underwater.
@@stephengift9920 actually the 5 ATM equals 40 meters under water on the sea level, because 1 ATM is the pressure of the atmosphere above the water that you dive.... Rule of thump is 1 ATM atmospheric pressure + 1 ATM for every 10 meters you dive (sea level diving)
@@ΓεώργιοςΜπρίνταλος in this instance, and after further research, the ATM rating is a standard set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The term "Water Resistant" has come to replace "Water Proof" and is now defined by ISO-Standard 2281. So for a watch rated 5 ATM, it means it is protected in everyday life, bathing, accidental splashes, short swimming, car washing, parachuting, hang gliding and skiing - it is resistant against perspiration, water vapor, rain drops. It is tested for water resistance up to 5 ATM corresponding to 50 meters. The meters value does not relate to a diving depth but to the air pressure used in the course of the water-resistance test.
@@stephengift9920 5 ATM pressure corresponds to 50 meters depth in the lab. In real life the 50 meters of water have a whole 1 ATM above them... most relevant question, can it sync with STRAVA?
Can we directly sync it with Strava? Get the heart readings, and GPS data and distance and speed etc. all synced straight to Strava?
Probably. I have the Amazfit Pace and it does this.
