When I saw the path for drawn mask I immediately thought of your Inkscape tutorials. This is a neat feature and I have seen it done in the past but I always wondered how it was accomplished. Thanks for this latest tutorial. It was very helpful and interesting.
Thanks to share this tutorial. This is my first time on Darktable. The selections tools is very poor. Is it possible working around details? like a magnetic tools?
I was doing this with one of my photos and I'm stuck. I used to mask to change the saturation in one part of the photo l, now I'm done changing it and want to edit the rest of the photo. How do I take off the masks so I can edit the whole image while still having the saturation stay in that one spot I need it?
Hey TJ is it me or does the drums on lmms 1.2.0 sound more digital than on 1.1.3? I've watched RUclips tutorials and the drums on 1.1.3 sounded better than on my 1.2.0? Why is that? I can't so the more bouncier high hats on mine because it doesn't sound as good as his did? Why is that?
Hi, good question. I haven't notcied this, but I don't think its the version making it sound different. Maybe an effect was being applied? Or maybe the user had modified their drum sounds. I'm not really sure, but I'll keep an eye out for the issue.
I was struggling to understand masks until now, thank you.
You're welcome, Archie!

How do you scroll inside the feather? I can't move the cursor into the feather area without affecting the whole mask.
Great help. Thank you very much!
Nice tutorial. It appears that to control the feather size it's now shift-scroll (I'm using DT 3.8 on Ubuntu).
yes, that's how it works in newer versions (also on windows)
Why do I not have the blend on or off?
i can't find the blend button either

Sweet, thanks!
wow, super video! thank you!!!
in the absence of the mouse, how can we change the mask size?
Thanks for the tutorial! However, I am nauseous now with all the zoom and movements
Your videos have depth of science and explanation but you should be little slow in your narration so that non English speaking people can understand.
