Hi Tidy Uppers!!

It's amazing how many items a person can get rid of in a year and never miss them, decluttering is something I need to get started again, I do declutter threw out the year so it's not so hard, I'm still amazed how much I find every time I decluter , very nice video Dee Dee, have a Happy New Year🎉 🕛
I am the same way! It is shocking to me how much I find after all of this time! I got some new things for Christmas and I am planning on decluttering and taking out more than I brought in! I really appreciate you watching Sharon and I wish you a happy new year! 🎉🎉

How great for you to have a visual reminder of your year long, ongoing decluttering and organizing journey! Each project on their own is impressive but to see them all together : mind blowing! You truly have inspired me on my own journey. Just after Thanksgiving I started to really take a look at things, area by area, and start making some big decisions. I am taking my time, doing a bit here and there, and getting really real with myself about whether or not I use and love the things I have. My bedroom walk in closet is the toughest area and I have been able to stuff so many things in there over the years. I am taking my time to really think about how I want things to look and function. As I keep removing things from whatever area I am working on, it reminds me of the clown car in the circus. How on earth did so much / so many things fit in there?! Haha! At any rate, I am still very much in process and am making great progress. I have a larger organizing piece that will be here in about a week that should help me let go of several smaller pieces and bring things together all in one area instead of spreading them out so much. Thank you SO much of your hard work, dedication, humor, insights, and tips that help us on our own path. Best of luck to you in the new year!
Hello Matt!! Thank you so much for this beautiful comment! When I was putting this video together, that’s when it really hit home how much I have been able to part with. And as I have previously stated, I don’t miss any of it. Actually, putting this video together, made me desire to eliminate even more. I wish I had learned the lesson many years ago that things are just things. They all will fade and turn to dust, the memories that I make with “things”will remain. I think that is wonderful that you are taking your time and really being methodical with your choices. There is no rush and you steer your own ship and set your own pace.
I definitely understand how your bedroom walk-in closet can be a problem!! lol! I suffer with the same problem as you well know! Hi DeDe, these declutters were some of my very favorite videos of the year! I’m always impressed of how ruthless you are. I love me a “good” box and I have so many “just in case” items and projects that I have no interest in finishing anymore! Thanks for the push to get rid of that clutter! Love the look back on the year! Really enjoyed it! I have now been in my home for 3 years and am going through my 2nd heavy declutter. At this point, I'm burnt out, which is causing a bit of overwhelm. But I really appreciate a look at what my own home has the potential to be. 😉💖 Happy New Year!🎉

Dear DeDe wishing you a very Happy 2024. We are hoping for a better 2024 as my husband has cancer, the last 4 years haven’t been real good he has battled many health problems, they have stopped his treatment for now to give him a rest so praying he has a better time for the star of 24. January 2024. Three(3) of us live in a 2BR apartment near Chicago. Every day, I toss, recycle, or give away 20 items. There's a pile of books and magazines for
the library. Clothes and dishes go to Goodwill. Craft and personal care items go to the seniors program at a local church. Tina, Al's wife

Why do you buy such nice items and pay good money for them when all you're going to do is declutter them in another video? I have quit spending my money on junk. If I don't need it I don't buy it.

I definitely understand where you are coming from! Years ago, I used to be quite the shopper, but not so much anymore. So many of the things that I have decluttering over the past year, have been things that I have had for many many years that I have been holding on to. I am so proud of all of the things I have been able to part with. When I receive gifts or something new comes into my home, I try to take the same amount of items out. The older I get the more I realize the less I need, and that is a great feeling! 🤍 Here’s wishing you a happy new year! 🤗🎉
