well. 3m also makes DIAMOND belts. thats right. it's like sandpaper but it's DIAMONDS. They cost a fortune. Few grand for a roll. and those cut materials like carbide like butter. much better than these for that kind of stuff. but. its not really for very heavy grinding. they also dont come in the lowest grits. too much heat. you need cbn for that. but yeah. these 3M high end abrasives.. and Norton too to be fair, are the best in the business for sure. 'Murica.
i love the high end 3m stuff. but. the first time you use it for wood you gotta watch out. using anything below 100 on wood is like grinding the wide bevel of a Japanese knife with a diamond plate... you're gonna be there for a while trying to get the extremely deep scratches out. I took 80 grit purple 3m to a hardwood board and it immediately sliced gouges into it like butter. those triangles cut like knives. so watch out.
Need to offer the grits in a 4 pack at a discount price. The price per belt for a 2x72 is a bit up there. Especially if someone is learning/practicing you can get a 6 pack of different grits on Amazon for like 35 bucks. I understand the Amazon belts are not as good but when someone screws up and bites the edge and blows a belt up. They are not going to be pleased to have to drop that kind of money on a single belt.
Hey I'm from France and I wanted to buy your grinding belts, but i couldn't because you don't ship to France. If you could make it happen it would be great :)
How much did 3M pay you for this piece? I’m not being facetious or trying to denigrate this video. You did a very good job. I simply enjoyed your work and I hope your supplier compensated you adequately.
Green Corps is slowly being phased out in some product types and markets in favor for 3M's new SILVER line, which is a blended product of some PSG (Cubitron) and traditional Ceramic.
I heard Panthers get them half price which is quite unfortunate in regards to your situation unfortunately. Maybe if you die yourself pink you could pass as a Panther
Wow, that was a really good demonstration of why the belt is so good!
I’m getting me some! Love the science Alec.
Will, how does these belts work on Thumb stock? 😳
Poor Will, every time never fails... Hey maybe Alec will come up with some belt grinder safe gloves out of this.
70 belts ordered, happy to support your business, thanks Alec
I use these belts and also really like them. Have been using my 36 grit for a long time now and still works a dream.
I bet these will grind Will’s thumb well
A well presented, informative & appealing pitch.
Love the info on the belts! Thank you!
I've done it with every company and no one can beat the 3m so I'm glad to see some conformation.
Great demonstration. Thank you!
The 3M Cubitron 36+ is awesome, I did grinding ice drills for two years and it was the best grinding belt for carbide removal.

Just want to know will you also ship international I am in South Africa?
Figured they’d be called Trianglatron and not Cubitron if they’re indeed triangular grain structure?
Hi alec do you post all your products to the UK ? If not where can I get them from in the UK thanks.
you can get them at Ground Flat Stock in the uk.

Since Alec is selling them, the money is being made on each unit sold by his store.
The 2 dislikes are from Will´s thumbs
100th view is neat
Sandpaper removes rust. To save animal lives we need to manufacture abrasive belts & cloth belts. Do u wear leather belt ?
I'm sure they are his favorite because he is selling them...
3M best ist Green Corps 2

I have a question.
How can you call 1300$+ belt grinders adorable?
And can I buy just the motor and VFD?
Outside of building it yourself, most 2x72 setups are over the 2500$ mark
@@HoY_82 I am in the process of making one.

@@kettlebells-ez9xi I don't think a M10 GMC like myself would pass for a Panzerkampfwagen 5 Panther just because of some pink paint
