Wyatt Maktrav was turning 7 years old when he successfully reached the top of the mighty #MtFuji 🏔️🎌 His 79th mountain.
Despite the continuous rain 🌧️ yesterday, we were blessed with a good weather today. 🌞
The experience is definitely not easy. Wyatt's mother sprained her ankle on the 6th station which is not even halfway but still managed to push through.
Yoshida's trail is easy from the 5th to 7th station. From 7th to 8th station are all assault with rock scrambling trail so the climb keeps getting harder. From 8th station to the top is just gradual assault with zigzag path but the altitude makes it difficult to climb. Thankfully, we didn't experience Altitude Sickness.
We've also met a lot of fellow Filipinos along the trail which made this trip extra special. Some of them are people we personally know and haven't seen for ages.
There's a group of Malaysian hikers who became friends with Wyatt too. And guess what? One of them recognized Wyatt because she met him on Mt. Kinabalu more than 2 years ago. How awesome is that?
We would like to thank Decathlon Philippines for being Wyatt Maktrav's official equipment provider for this climb. This trip couldn't be successful without your support. His #Quechua hiking products are all very useful.
After the climb, Wyatt said "I want to go back here again." I was like, "Noooooo!" Anyway, I'm really glad that he enjoyed the climb even though it is so tiring.
    'Till our next climb! 😊
