You are a great fintech resource person. I particularly like how you uncomplicate the subject so that even non tech people are able to relate. And You look dope in your gigi🙌
Great content Jeremy! And i like that you have all those other videos in the description that better explain some of the steps mentioned in this video.
Thanks for this info, I am a Finance Lecturer in a polytechnic. I made up my mind to switch to Fintech to be relevant in the new trend. Need more guides please.
I found your channel today when I was looking to get quality information about Fintech and try to learn. I’m a former bank employee, had worked 12 years in my country and then came to the USA 4 years ago, here I didn’t work in the finance industry or something related but after hearing about Fintech I feel it will be great for me learn about it. I am just a little concerned thinking that maybe I’m already old (37) and the fact that here in America I don’t have any formal experience working in the last 4 years. I’ll appreciate any advice you could give me. Thank you for this amazing content!
Hi Rocio, i'm glad you found the content useful. I understand your challenge and interest in Fintech. Just with any other industry, employers would want to see what value you can add, so if you don't have formal experience then you must show some sort of formal education like courses or certifications so it evidences your knowledge of fintech. I can't guarantee that it will land you a job, but it puts you in a much better position. Hope that helps.
Thanks Jeremy for this Seems you were recounting my history. I switched from Accounting to Fintech in mid 2020. Took courses (Digital Frontiers Institute), read books, networked and followed experts on LinkedIn and this has been able to get me a job in a fintech firm.
@Ngoezume , This is really good to know and an encouragement for me. I'm an accountant as well and intend to switch to fintech. I would love to speak with you just for some guidance. Thank you
Hi I'm currently a bank teller for a credit union and I've been thinking about changing my career path to IT and watching your video made me interested in Fintech what is the best advice you can give me to start my new career journey since I'm already in the banking industry?
There isn't one best certificate, fintechs place a premium more on skills and hands on experience, so the certificate does give foundational knowledge but it depends on which domain of fintech you're looking to get into.
Thanks for this information. I'm looking for information about fintech and I stumbled on your video. I studied accounting as a first degree and intend to study fintech for MSc. My question is, I don't have any prior experience related to fintech but just an accountant. What other courses can I do that will help me get a good job in tech aside from the MSc in fintech? Also as an experienced accountant, which area of fintech would I advise I focus on. Thank you
Thanks Ismail, glad you found the content valuable. In terms of the courses, I've created a full video on the channel recommending the best fintech courses. You should check that out
its a bit complex to answer because it depends on what type of fintech app, which location its being built and the specification. So hard to quote a blanket average.
Thanks for the compliment Teja, there are lots of opportunities in fintech. You should try going on glassdoor and looking for fintech roles. I'm sure lots will pop up that you can apply for. Especially if you don't limit to one location.
This is so helpful, thank you Jeremy!
Glad it was helpful!

Glad I could simplify it enough for everyone Kk. The more people in fintech the better🙏🏼 #gigi

Hi I'm currently a bank teller for a credit union and I've been thinking about changing my career path to IT and watching your video made me interested in Fintech what is the best advice you can give me to start my new career journey since I'm already in the banking industry?
The best is to acquire as much knowledge of the fintech industry as possible
Great 👍
Thank you 👍
How is the best fintech certificate for someone coming from traditional banking ?
There isn't one best certificate, fintechs place a premium more on skills and hands on experience, so the certificate does give foundational knowledge but it depends on which domain of fintech you're looking to get into.
Please can you do a video on non technical/coding jobs in the fintech industry
I'll do my best
Thank you.
Great video. any tips for coming from an engineering background?
Not particularly familiar with engineering as a background for the transition but it should follow the same principles.

Pls may I know the average cost to build a fintech app
its a bit complex to answer because it depends on what type of fintech app, which location its being built and the specification. So hard to quote a blanket average.
I hve done graduation from business in finance and administration
And I want to do MSC in fintech

Most fintech Msc will be willing to take a business and finance degree without any additional fintech courses
