These performances by HH, for a brief moment, make me forget that the trumpet is difficult. Of course, then I put the horn up to my face, and well..... Stunning execution, intonation, expression, and imagination by Maestro Hardenberger!

    Bravo, Maestro!
What I note is your commitment to presence and focus on each note.
Centered - solid - sound first, then in your mind’s ear the octaves lock.
Making good music out of this (IMHO) most unmusically satisfying Charlier is a very special feat.
Challenge accepted - back to Charliers 21 for me!

It is amazing how quickly he can extend and retract the 3rd and 1st valve tuning slides - no clank! He's so careful about his intonation. Thank you Hakan!

Such nice octaves. It sounds so easy but it requires a lot of preparation. Highly appreciated the hard work and the musicality discovered in this etude!

Such an inspiration, as noted by almost everyone. Especially for those of us trying to find their chops again and witnessing how thoroughly relaxed is the embouchure that produces such a beautiful, effortless sound in every register. Bravo, bravo. And much appreciation. On another note, as it were, I see that one of H's old girlfriends showed up to downvote him...
