This album was so groundbreaking when it was released, but I read that berry Gordy didn't want to release the album because he thought it was too depressing! But wait! Marvin lost the Grammy award to Lou Rawls! Every one remembers Marvin's album to this day but I bet that Lou Rawls album was forgotten about!😅😅
Lou Rawls was a fine vocalist, exactly because of his voice. Marvin Gaye' s "What's Going On?" had a profound message. His lyricists were ON it❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😮😮😮
