If ever a good guy needed a break it's Anthony Kim, he's clearly been in a very low place. Hats off to Greg Norman and Liv for the lifeline.
MY ARSE.
This is ridiculously awesome, dude worked on his game for two months after a 12 year break and back hanging with the greats of TODAYS game, if not for just one day, super exciting for what’s to come! Rooting for you AK.
Him performing so well after a 13 year hiatus shows you how washed the LIV guys are.
@@Gulliott There are plenty of pga tour players that don't shoot 65 so calm down
@@Gulliottoohhh hater welcome to liv!
@@Gulliott😂... You tool... how is that a comparison..... So when AK plays well, it's because everyone else is washed up.... 😂😂😂
@@Gulliott he still came like 4th to last you wank
I think when AK decides it’s time to tell his story, we’ll find out he’s been through much more than we would’ve guessed. I’m an Asian male in my 50’s, and seeing AK here, it’s clear he is showing some mileage that usually doesn’t appear on the faces of Asian guys his age. I hope AK continues to do his thing. I’m an AK fan, and I’m also grateful LIV has given him an opportunity. I’ve been critical of LIV, and now I’m eating crow - LIV is giving me the chance to see AK compete, giving me something I can appreciate that the PGA Tour wouldn’t or couldn’t bring to the table.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
Cocaine vs Wegners in that ddx fo sho
I agree. when the time is right I believe he will speak of it. AK had such a pure smile and joy when he used to play more than a decade ago. Not only did his style change completely but his face and his expressions. Also, he constantly mentions in every interview about what he has gone through the past decade and how grateful he is for this opportunity shows he has had many dark things going on. I’m happy he got this opportunity again and he’s making the best out of it
Definetely some sort of addiction based on what he says about living the right way. Great to see he is in good spirits!
@@matrix35 Ummm....look at his nose. He should be paired with DJ.
It’s clear to me looking at him. He was in a very dark place for a very long time. What a great opportunity for him. I wish him nothing but happiness.
reminds me of the book Legend of Bagger Vance, where Ranulf Junah had such serious PTSD after World War 1, but Bagger Vance carved him a golf club, and practicing golf is what saved him. And now hes ready to face Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen! Lets go AK!
AK is starting to deliver. That putter was bright-yellow hot! Well done AK! 👍
Good for him. Hard not to root for. Kudos to Norman as well for giving AK a chance.
So happy seeing ak shoot 5 under!! Let’s go!! Liv is simply the best tour. Pga doesn’t entertain me like liv does
ITS DOG.
Ak would lost to my local club pro one good round doesn’t erase to weeks of scratching 80s 😂😂
@@JimBeatman Your delusional if you think your local club pro would beat AK gtfoh
Atm I’d say majors first then LIV… the field at the pga events are so weak week in week out
@@JimBeatman when did he shoot an eighty? What weeks are you talking about? He hasn’t been back playing for ‘weeks’. They only announced him as coming back 2 weeks ago. He hasn’t shot one round over 80 so far. Who is your club pro? What’s his name? I want to see if he has the game to shoot 6 rounds under 80 in a Liv golf tournament with tournament conditions/greens/tees/crowds/media scrutiny
The interviewer was really touched at the end ... awesome moment
God bless you AK and your beautiful family. Love seeing you back…
Good for you AK, welcome back.
So awesome to see AK succeed on the course today. Whatever happened in the past obviously was difficult for him. Hope he can stay on track to playing golf and being happy. 5 under after two months. Damnnn
Congratulations to Anthony Kim shooting a 65 on a pro tour. Clearly he has the talent, now he is showing he can get back into form. Greg Norman has just got my attention and interest to follow LIV Golf.
Congrats AK!
Absolute monster! Thank you LIV!
Su-Ann great interview. AK, what a journey so far. Clearly life has been a hell of a roller coaster. Hopefully the LIV family is everything AK and his family need as a turning point.
Well said. Love AK! Good for him
65! SIXTY-FIVE! MAN! Happy for you Anthony. Brilliant my brother! Happy you're back.
Good for LIV. To get back on the PGA tour, he would have had to grind it out in the lower tournaments without a decent income source. LIV gave him the chance to just focus on getting better. That was the pressure, he had to show progress. So far in a very short time he has!
I am so happy seeing you, AK!❤
Great interview!! So glad you are back AK… we’re all supporting you!!
Welcome back AK...amazing to see you back after what must have been some tough times. Looking solid out there
damn!.. homeboy got a country singer's voice... good for him.. hoping to see more of this as the year progresses
he's always sounded like that. Looked? perhaps not... but he's out there fighting and trying to live his best life. Respect
Best wishes to Ak. He is on the right track for life and golf. He is a winner for the fans.
65! He'll yeah AK! I'm a huge fan! I am loving this story!
I wonder what he has really gone through in the past decade. It really seems like he has gone to a deep end and came back from it. He keeps mentioning how grateful he is for this opportunity and talks about his family and about his past ten to twelve years.. Whatever it is I truly think LIVgolf gave him a really good opportunity to get his life on the right track and Anthony knows it and is working hard to do his best and is enjoying it. Im happy to see him back in the course
Love, love this.
The legend continues
You preach it AK! God bless
Welcome back AK! I am rooting for you.
Nice Job... hoping for more....
I was a big AK fan 12 years ago, and I think I'm gonna be an even bigger one now. What a story. He sounds like a man who has learned some hard life lessons and has grown from them.
Go Anthony!
lets go AK. Looking forward to seeing him going forward. I think he is just getting warmed up
Ya gotta root for this guy. No matter where his golf game goes, he seems like he's got his head on straight.
Welcome Back AK!! Great Guy!! 💯
Everyone loves a good redemption story ❤️
Hope the dude gets a team nxt year, good to see him back out there, this shows what LIV is about opportunity, most the guys out there are using the big pay days to do good with, this could not happen on the PGA
Good words AK! Awesome to see this guy have some success. Now I want a Netflix doc
And bring back the belt buckle
Wellness check on Eamon Lynch.
Lol. Yep
😂😂😂Good one my friend
Was just a matter of time till a good round was due but damn! A 65 is super solid. Nice AK 🙌
We all have that dark place in life, you can either stay or come out....Go AK!
Insane how much talent he has. 2 months of putting in some work and shoots 65 😐. Hasn’t even touched a club in 12 years before that. Absolutely incredible.
GTFOH HASNT HE TOUCHED A CLUB FOR 12 YEARS.
Didn't even get fitted for clubs before this week
Had to buy a sleeve of balls in the pro shop before the first round
Let’s go AK!!!
What a humble man, if just he holds his mentall side in check-he must 've been in deep dark cave for a decade..after every round I was-he have to repair this, this weekend his putting went from 3putts to birdies🎉
Your fans are proud of you 👏.
God Bless this man and his courage.
What a come back story!! I only hope the best for him and his family, and his golf game. Stay strong AK
Unbelievable! Kevin Na should sign him up and revitalize the Iron Heads!
Legend
AK is an inspiration. Way to go.
This will be a Hollywood movie if he wins only once
Da man.. What a scoop for Liv and big thx to the great white for bringing us this adventure
Awesome stuff. This guy's awesome and sounding like a better roll model at this point in his life then most athletes out there. Great round.
All the best to AK for his life first and then on his comeback to golf.
Awesome
Good for him, glad to see it.. No disrespect, but he looks like he was gone for 30 years, not 12, must have been really tough times in there.
I would like to see AK do a documentary; he looks like he has been through a lot. One eye is half closed and one nostril looks collapsed. Easy to root for him, everyone loves a comeback story.
Everyone knows he had a cocaine addiction.
@@TOMVUTHEPIMPsure everyone knows that, but it looks like more than just that... like he's had a stroke or something... Wish him the best.
still a legend get a few wins this year buddy you got this!!!!!
God bless you AK
Wise words!
Respect goes out to Greg Norman & LIV for giving AK the opportunity
What a beast!!!
I know it's been 12- years but AK looks like he's aged about 20 years...
Pulling hard for you Anthony .
Keep his nose clean, head down and just working on his lines. Little chilly in Hong Kong today AK said theres going to be snow in his forecast......... whatever that means
Haha! Yes a lot of powder for sure.
Smart move by LIV.
Could AK been able to qualify via PGA tour school?
I wish him the best. He was at elite level of Golf but fame and $ can affect us all differently. I do remember him getting on the wagon back during his career but don’t know if he fell off it and spiraled into a dark place. Hoping he’s conquered his demons and ready for some high level golf. Kudos to Emily for encouraging him back to the game. Golf needs AK back.
AK has always been a great putter. He just needs a little more time to get his strength and stamina back so he doesn’t need to hit everything with a100% power that causing him to miss the fairways and greens.
From someone who's been there, AK sounds like he's been through some drug treatment programs. I didn't start watching golf until he was out of the PGA, but i'm rooting for him now.
he sounds literally the same, he looks different... Wish him the best
God bless this dude. He's slaying the demons!! Mad respect!!
his face changed so much in 12 years... i haven't seen that much wear on any of my 45 year old Asian friends faces. I'm sure he's happy just to be alive and his words are telling us that right now.
Damn he looks like he came back from beyond the grave. Can't imagine what he went through with his addiction. Hope he stays on track.
we want more AK content.
With a voice like AK a media opportunity beckons
What happened his face?
Jesus , shut up!
He's coming back from cocaine addiction
@@designpatterns8168I’ll be interested to see what the story is. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but to me he doesn’t appear to be a garden variety cocaine guy. I’ll refrain from speculating as to what it is, but it’s certainly something. Might be as benign and random as a mystery medical thing, or a life choices-driven medical thing, but it’s something.
Ask Dustin Johnson.
It's Cocaine addiction - last week norman was praising him for cleaning himself up. @@steveg209
Man you got skills AK!!! If you want it take em all to the cleaners amigo!!
I want that cap.
This would of never happened on the PGA tour
Looks like some facial reconstruction following a burn accident. I applaud him for his courage. Rooting for this success in life.
W
Fxxk yeah AK!!!
He ought to be grateful...most people who have been in this trouble never get a chance and are shunned by society
most people that have done that much drugs have never come back to shoot under par in a professional golf round because they aren't as talented. dont mention john daly, he was a drinker and cig smoker.
hopefully this dude can stay clean for his daughter sake looks like hes had 10 years plus years of excessive drug use dont even think his body can recover from all the damage thats been done.
What happened to his right eye?
AK=amazing! This interview feels so awkward…
The man looks like hell. I have never seen street drug people age that much. He has certainly been in a deep low place for a long time. I hope he digs his heels in and fights back to being competitive.
I like that lady.
He looks so rough now...
@0:20..... Is this really AK... doesn't look the same to me tho
What happen to his face?
Dustin Johnson X 50.
The prevailing wisdom appears to be booger sugar
@@isambo400 Something up up his eyes too. One is squished and the other wide open and looks like he has a glass eye.
Looks very different to when he first came to fame
…something in my eye…
Did he have reconstructive surgery? Honestly asking, he looks way different
What happened to his face?
Big AK fan from way back. He's been through a lot in 10 years and it's great to see him back competitively. But please, clean up the appearance a little better. Just looks like a bum. Best of luck pal, show us what you got.
At least tuck in the shirt and wear some golf shoes.
What’s going on with that right eye?
Boomer sooner ❤
Wth happened to his face?
what happened to his nose?
Was he in a car accident?
