Zydrunas is one of the few people that could say "it was easy" on a WR without an ounce of arrogance.
And then he goes on to compliment the log and the crowd as though they were the reason it was easy.
Literally all of Big Z's records were done in full multi-event competitions, he never specifically trained for any singular thing..
Big Z is an absolute legend and doesn't get the recognition he truly deserves. Yes he is well-known but not truly immortalized as he should be.
Not sure how. Most that I have seen consider him the GOAT of strongman.
I think Z could have set the world record so high that nobody would ever brake it. He just upped it a little bit every time just to break the record. His full potential was so much higher.

I wouldn’t like to guess what big Z would have lifted if he solely concentrated on log press.
235-240kg... anymore than that is like Eddie's 500kg deadlift 💯
@@everythingstrength1485 it’s hard to estimate but he did 229 with such ease in reality and he wasn’t concentrating on it. I’d say 242-245kg if he just had concentrated 6 months towards the log lift
Zydrunas himself said that he believes he was capable of 240kg

Crazy how 200kg used to be above the British record.
It’s weird how “power creep” in strongman records makes things like a 191 kg log lift look standard, relatively speaking.

He did what he had to do back then, he'd smash Bibby in his prime, then go on to win the show, not just do a back flip and leave.
It's probably just me, but when I need to lift and move logs, I use machines rather strong men to do the job.

Eddie completely flunked that press. If he just balanced to log out first before pressing, he would have succeeded.

How come no one ever mentions the fact that about half of his log records were done on metal logs?
Pretty sure the final time he broke it was also a metal log but after that every max log I've seen was actual wood?
Seems alittle bit inconsistent for the athletes who wanted to get the record later on since there is technical differences between metal and wood implements.

These people are different human-beings. I can press 100 kg, without gear and I'm short at 5'11"...These guys, some are 6'1" and pressing that weight on gear, even though I'm like 120 kg and they're 160 kg, it's just nuts lifting that much weight.

@@bryanadkins2944 more 5'10" men have 70,,71 or 72 inches wingspan ,(like height... or H+1 ,or H+2) I THINK LALLAS IS H+2 OR MORE ( Gor have just 65" or H-4 ) for info for 5'11" ar peak height i have 77 wingspan H+6 with very very short legs ..very few commun except IN APE PEOPLE LOOOOOL..
