i am not worried about williams whatsoever. i am worried about a team that can’t run the ball, asks their rookie to pass 45 times in low scoring game, who want swift to be a featured back and traded for allen and let mooney walk. we’ll be ok this year but we need a young slot receiver, a true 3 down back and more oline help. and everette is washed as well.
It's only been 2 games! I agree. I said before the season that it would take the bears offense a month before it gets going. They have a rookie qb and an offense still getting use to a new playbook.
I love that we are talking about him identifying the blitz and being active at the line. I saw too many dummies on tik tok saying that he can’t do that 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
this falls at the feet of the media for setting people up with unrealistic expectations. if everyone was saying hey, the Bears won't win more than 8 games; temper expectations in year 1, people probably wouldn't be so frustrated right now.
People can be adults and think for themselves. No one is making anyone believe what the media says. If you're feeling disappointment about the Bears so far, look inward. Stop blaming other people lol
A missing piece on the OL from last year, specifically the interior, is Cody Whitehair. Now to be clear, cutting Whitehair in the offseason was the right decision. The money saved on the salary cap versus the production etc, it was a no brainer. You could get Whitehair's production for cheaper. The problem though....is that they didn't. Not only did Poles not improve the line by replacing Whitehair, but he didn't even get a guy that could mirror his production at this stage of Cody's career. Brutal man.
The problem with the game wasn't management, the problem is the run game was getting blown up. Calling more run plays doesn't work when the team isn't executing them, it's not a magic wand.
Yeah, some people are like “pound the ball” well when the other team is stuffing the run you got to find another way. Now that doesn’t mean throw 3 screens in a row but some quick throws eap against blitzing downs would help

This dude Mike literally brings up Fields in Pittsburgh as an example of “managing the game” and having “success” does he not realize the Steelers offense is worse then the Bears and they both have the same amount of offensive TD’s as the Bears as well? Come on do better and let’s not ignore the Bears have faced easily 2 top 10 defenses with incredible DL’s compared to the Steelers who have faced the Broncos and the Falcons which neither are anywhere close to the level of DL’s as the Titans or Texans. Let’s see how “successful” he looks against the Chargers this week with Mack and Bosa coming at him and there defense and they force him to be a QB.
Do you know anything about Bears RBs? We have never had great OLs. But Jordan Howard and David Montgomery could always get yards after contact. Swift goes down if you barely touch him. You can't have a back like that with an OL that's having problems. The Bears drafted Jeremy Langford in 2016. He had speed, but would go down after initial contact. The GM had to draft another RB Jordan Howard the following year to replace Langford. Swift is Langford.
The guards let the DL go on the weak side of the play so they can get to the 2nd level. As the play unfolds usually the weak side guys can’t get to the runner. The problem was once those guys got to the 2nd level they were missing the block all together or getting blown back into the play. There’s no cut back lane to avoid that pressure because the backside guys are free runners.
The difference is the Bears offense hasn't looked good for the past 4 decades and it isn't going to get any better with a schmuck HC like Matt Eberflus.
Flus better be pounding it in Waldrons head that we are running the ball this weekend none of this drop back 50+ times bullshit. If we can’t get a run game going this weekend then I will be seriously concerned about what the outcome of this season is gonna be.
Serious question how much input does Flus have on the offense? Because idk if everyone forgot but Flus is a defensive minded coach and calls the defense which has looked fucking excellent. Why’re we screaming fire Flus when he has little to nothing to do with the offense I’d assume and the side of the ball he controls is literally either winning or keeping us in games 🤣 PS, this is about the voicemails not what you guys said during the show lol
