    Another update…. Finally got my machine back….cost me Over $1,100.00… that really blows my mind to be honest, I paid it because I needed my tractor, that had it for nearly 2 months.. I do plan on contacting John Deere and try and recoup some of this, I don’t see how something that was not my fault at all, should cost me that much ahhahaha any points of contact within Deere would be greatly appreciated!!
    I do very much appreciate the info here, who know what it would have cost me if I didn’t go in armed with the info I found here!! Thanks again!! You definitely have a subscriber here!!

      Hey Bill, glad to hear you got your tractor back but hate that you had to pay anything. The amount you paid seems very similar to another guy had to pay. Is your tractor insured? I saw another guy say his Deere insurance through his financed tractor only required him to pay the $500 deductible. Unfortunately I don't have any contacts with Deere, I had been contacted by an AgPro district manager. Are you working with an AgPro store by chance? Glad we were able to help some and wish you success with the repair. I recommend, if I haven't already mentioned this, to get a paint marker and mark your bolts so you can quickly check them. I've had many say, heavy equipment, bolts vibrate loose... the funny part is they haven't since they were replaced so I still think there was a defect in the either the bolts selected or the process of the installation.

    So, an update. Dealer has had my tractor for 3 weeks, still not done. I can deal with that, but they are telling me this may cost over $1,000.00 out of my pocket. I could understand that if I had done something out of the way or damaged the tractor myself, seems quite steep to me, especially after seeing the prices that were shared here. I didn’t expect to come out not lying anything, but wow… this was not my fault at all. Anyway, again I appreciate the info given here and it has been a great help…now if I can only get the dealer or Deere to make it right hahahah
    Thanks again great channel with great info!!

      Ugh! Sorry to hear this. I had heard a similar story from a guy down in TN... front axle damaged and they did not fix the issue for free. For me the issue is this has been a known issue for some time, I've had people tell me they took possession and the bolts were loose. they knew to check because they had seen the videos or the posts on one of the tractor forums. Keep me posted... We may have to gather up some folks for an interview to bring more attention to the issue.

    I have a 2018 2038R, same thing happened to me. Both sides had fallen out and the front axle folded and broke the drive shaft.
    Research led me here, watched the videos. Thank You!!!
    I took this information to Middletown tractor here in Buckhannon, West Virginal, our local John Deere dealer. I have them all the information you provided, the DTAC and Solution number and the immediately came and picked it up. They were very surprised I already had the information.
    I haven’t got my tractor back yet. But have been told that between the dealer and John Deere, they would make it right.
    So, …. So far so good… I am waiting to see what my total bill will be.
    I appreciate your information… no doubt it saved me a lot of money.. thanks again!! I will post a follow after I get my tractor back.
    Thanks again

      Bill, so sorry to hear about your tractor but happy to hear you were not injured. Glad the video and information was helpful and look forward to hearing how they made it right. I suggest getting a pint marker and marking your bolts so you can quickly and easily inspect them going forward. Since JD had mine in and replaced the bolts I have had no problems. I have a link to the yellow markers I use in our Amazon shop here www.Amazon.com/shop/HardyBrothersOutdoors

      sorry to hear that... what year and model is your tractor? Are you still paying for it? If so JD financing carries insurance and may cover the damage, if not, maybe push the dealership to see if they can get it covered by JD since this is a known failure... Let me know!

      Sir, just wanted to let everyone know, after some discussion with John Deere, and a visit from the service Manager with my local shop. John Deere has covered the parts for my repair. I’m doing the work, but I’m happy with the resolution. Thank you again for the video and information, it made a big difference for me. Keep up the good work.

      @@shawnscott7746 that is outstanding news and I’m thrilled to hear JD stepped up and took care of you. Get some loctite and a paint pin and mark those bolts once they are in place. I still give mine a visual inspection and they haven’t moved again since being replaced. Thanks again for circling back with the good news!

    Kinda shocked because the JD dealership in Hilliard has turned to shit after Ag-pro bought them.
    I have a 2017 2032r, hadn’t noticed any problems but guess I need to check this. Thanks for the information.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  3 года назад

      I’ve never dealt with the Hilliard location, just Lancaster. Definitely check them and get some paint markers to mark them. You’d be amazed at the number of people that have reached out to me after they had worse damage... scary stuff and I’m surprised JD didn’t do a major message out to the dealerships and tractor owners. Most dealerships claim to have never heard about the issue.

    Good that you were able to bring it to their attention & get it resolved for everyone. I assume it'll be incorporated on 2020's going forward (hope to be ordering a 1025R or 2038R soon).

    Just received a new 2038R November 2022, same problem my bolts fall out after 10 hours of work. This should not be an issue but obviously it is.

      Yeh, that is not good... I would have thought they would have done something by now to resolve this... Get a paint marker so you can do quick visual checks, it really helps.

    My dealer couldn’t locate the dtach. I said screw it and I just gave them the part numbers and told them to order me 8 of them. I will do it my self. I need me tractor back up and running with a stable front axle

      Sorry to hear this. Seems others are having a hard time locating the DTAC as well. If you want to send me an email to Hardy.brothers.outdoors@gmail.com I can send you the paperwork that includes some names they can call. Let me know.

    Josh, thanks for the video's, I'm trying to grt mine fixed because my front axle come completely off. I commented on the other video that you posted. I have been talking to my local dealership here in Knoxville, TN and they couldn't find that DTAC # in the system. However, I was thinking since your was an Ag Pro dealer and mine is an Ag Pro dealer they would talk to each other about the issue they fixed for you. If you don't mind which southern Ohio dealer are you referring to in your video. The other solution that I have been given is to go through the insurance company and summit a claim. Thanks, Roger.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  3 года назад

      Hi Roger, the AgPro dealer in Ohio is the one in Lancaster. (740) 653-6951 and have them ask for Michelle, she runs the service department. Also, if you want to send me an email to hardy.brothers.outdoors@gmail.com I can send you the full details in PDF format. I'm wondering if the DTACs are classified by the tractor, so 2032R for mine vs. the 2038R which I believe you said you have. Also maybe its new enough they haven't populated. Either way, happy to continue to assist. Pretty sure this is something Deere would want to take care of for you.

    I had this problem on the same tractor at 70 hours. Fixed by the dealer and just fell apart again yesterday at 227 hours. Not super excited.

      Sorry to hear that. I had hoped this issue was a thing of the past. I believe they put on lock-tite on mine after they upgraded the bolt hardness... I use a paint pen to make a line and mine have not moved since.

    It seems to be such a problem with JD I dont know why they dont just run a wire through the bolts, like they do in racing, to stop them coming undone.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  3 года назад

      Hmm, interesting, wasn't aware they did that... So far the new bolts they provided me are holding tight... hope that continues...
