- This interview for Wales Today with Emrys Walters was recorded shortly before Christmas 1962 while Burton was making the film The VIPs (MGM 1963).
The actor mentions his teachers Meredith Jones and Philip Burton, his home in Céligny, Switzerland, and having watched London Welsh beat Aberavon at Old Deer Park in west London.
Interestingly, there is no mention of the Hollywood star's involvement with Elizabeth Taylor, which had dominated the headlines in late 1962. - Развлечения
One of the greatest actors of all time!
Hell he was so bloody gorgeous
He was great, and never took himself too seriously either.
He did Actually. He was jealous of elizabeth winning Oscars.
@@melisagalvalizi6982Nonsense , he made it so to keep the hysterical woman of no acting ability …quiet . Tis well known .
@@alexandradane3672 So not true.
Bloody gorgeous boyo
Ur beautiful
Persona with incredible talent
Handsome man ❤
"It looks lovely mun" this is a very Welsh way of saying things. Richard was referring to the interviewers self depreciating " belly". Remark.
In a good mood here for a change
We miss 😢 you ❤ 😢
He killed himself by smoking and drinking. So sad that such a talent should leave us so soon.
Seddi Moussavi z cff
one wonders what he was trying to block out
@@jv-ep2tc his childhood
@@melisagalvalizi6982 agreed
You’d would have done the same if married to the hyped up and ghastly of personality Taylor woman !
If he had not been such a heavy smoker and drinker, he could've lived much longer. Too bad nobody didn't bother to advise him.
@Cymro 65 hahahah maybe you're right. That would be ironical hhahahaha
Oliver Reed, Peter O'toole, Richard Harris great actors great drinkers
I don't think Richard was a woke beta male concerned about liven to an eternity but liven as if each day was your last.
Obviously alcohol was part of his life
As richard harris was quoted as saying the most boring part of my life was giving up alcohol!
*Too bad no one bothered to advise him.
I can hear the Welsh accent a little here compared his later interviews where it's practically non existent.
красивый и умный. почему он так страшно издевался над своим здоровьем? Он мог еще очень много сыграть ролей в кино и на сцене своим чудесным и незабываемом баритоном. очень жаль.
Dreamboat.
and he thought he wasn't handsome nor gifted
I’m with Robert Hardy on this ….Richard Burton would have achieved real and meritorious success of gravitas and lived a lot longer , had he not married that Taylor woman.
He was in a heap of trouble with silly butt. They both were great.
Gone for a Burton.....bumped off......1984
What do you mean 'bumped off'?
