Well I just bought the m4 shot three rolls of b&w and one portra 400 … disaster. Only one photo was ok out of the bunch I really will need to learn how to work with rangefinder. But next I will shoot only zone focussing regardless of what the rangefinder sais. I did some tests with a mesuring tape to make sure the calibration was ok and it’s fine so by zone focusing I soud get better results hopefully
Thank u just bought the same Q as u Silver been out 3 times and my photos are terrible, But that’s me and realizing that everyone as a program on Lightroom.Anyway I’m out again today and see if I can do some good👍👍Great video
Oh well O hope you at least enjoy the experience of the Q. I enjoy the quality or it and well I edit less and less since the Q but also since I started film photography. I’m starting to enjoy the less is better
I recently bought my first LEICA, an M6 Classic in MINT UNUSED CONDITION. My next LEICA will be the new Q SERIES whenever it is announced, Q3. Beautiful Pictures by the way, excellent capture of light.
Nice, I’m also anxious to see what the Q3 will be like I mentioned the only hick I have with the Q is no weather seal. I have the M4 great condition with the Voigtlander nokton 35mm and it’s quite the learning curve. 5 rolls of film and still only 2-3 good photographs, almost discouraging but I’bull headed and will end up mastering it
@@3sixty2degres Yea NOT having a METER is what makes it most difficult, I have the NOKTON 35MM 1.5 Vintage Line on my M6 and love this small combo. You will get the hang of it after a bit, buy an aftermarket light METER, it will be your savior. SEKONIC makes great ones. Cheers.
Hey mate great vid cheers. After 40 years of wanting I finally got a new Q2 14 days later I killed it. Deadly strike from a laser fried the sensor. It's on it's way to Germany for a repair, replacement etc. 16 weeks turnaround at least. So I'm stalking a damaged Q for a good price to put me on. To be fair the Q was high on my list as I prefer the smaller file size. I went for the Q2 for the weather sealing and well it was brand new. I was disappointed with the iso at and above 3200 on the Q2. Cracking photos mate cheers
Hi Jean-Francois. Have been enjoying your vlogs on the Q. I have the Q and love it and it compliments my M10p nicely. However never thought of using the light pix flash. Could you do a demo vlog please? Would be interesting to see how it works and how you use it and the results you get. Many thanks and regards from the desert. Steve. Dubai.
South of the Border was still popular in the 90's. I'm not sure how much longer than that though. They had signs for it starting in Virginia so by the time you got there, it was kind of an imperative to stop.
Yes it’s the lightpix lab flash Q20ii. It’s manual only but works great on my delux7 and my Q and some have it on their Q2. The only ttl with leica are leica and well… and the fun part is you can hold it in your hands and the trigger is so small you barely notice it so only good reviews from me
Hello Jean-François, congratulations on your new video. I have had a silver Q just like yours for a few months now and I am thrilled. One question: what is the little black box you mounted on the hot shoe?
Hey Jean Francois, great to see you back. Glad you’re still in love with the Q. Some great photos. Looking forward to your next post.
Yes soon !! I want to share my monochrome settings
Leica Q in 1922….. that a poem. Haven’t seen a silver/black Q before. Love it.
Stumbled upon you some months back. Love the casual style of your videos. Keep making them, I’ll keep watching :)
I have the Leica Q. But still love the old way , with film . The famous Leica M3.

It’s the remote for my flash. It’s a lightpix labs Flash Q20ii manual only but it works great with the Q
@@3sixty2degres thank you!
I shoot with a pair of Leica M240s, but have thought about picking up a Q... Thanks
Well for the sake of the viewfinder it’s a nice break from rangefinders
Ah yes, it is a gateway drug to Leica LOL
