Cedar Key Coastal Cleanup 2023!

- The Cedar Key Coastal Cleanup is an annual event where volunteers scour the beaches, marshes, and islands of Cedar Key for any and all trash that has washed ashore. Not only is the trash collected, but the quantity and types of debris are recorded in a database.
I went out to participate as an individual but had the good fortune to be invited to work with University of Florida Professor Mark Clark and his team of UF students.
Together we pulled two truckloads of trash out of the marshes in a very productive morning.
