Simulate the real-life artillery tactic in War thunder (MRSI)

    Note: I created a custom mission to do that, there are no drone footage because I can't use recon drone in custom mission (an error).
    Multiple round simultaneous impact (MRSI) is a modern version of the earlier time on target concept. MRSI is when a single gun fires multiple shells so all arrive at the same target simultaneously. This is possible because there is more than one trajectory for a round to fly to any given target. Typically one is below 45 degrees from horizontal and the other is above it, and by using different sized propellant charges with each shell, it is possible to utilize more than two trajectories. Because the higher trajectories cause the shells to arc higher into the air, they take longer to reach the target.

      Maps are way too small for even minimum range indirect fires

      @@basiaromanovski458 i mean they could change the optics on arty and make them able to shoot super high so it would look "real" as if they were shooting max range but it would be in fact only a few hundreds meters

      Create another area maybe 2-3k behind each spawn that you can spawn arty at.

    You could get 3 people doing this in a game and making actual artillery like when you press 5

    I want to see indirect fire with heavier calibers like 152 or 155 mm , they have self-propelled howitzers in war thunder

      @@jaggaaff5606they could have a heli base type of platform to spawn out there and you could launch scout drones they could also add fpv drones as well as s300s and patriot sites

    They need to update it so you can see where you need to shoot off a drone mark from your tank since you can’t calculate it like real life unless you fire and check

    you also can use object 685 with he or heat, the minimum range for object 685 is 1,2km

    Wouldn't the first round also need to be fired at a higher muzzle velocity than the second since in theory a firing angle of 45 degrees will accomplish the highest possible range and each angle bigger or smaller than this will have a reduced range at a given velocity and thus need be compensated by a higher muzzle velocity?

      Только на штурмтигре, в остальных случаях снаряд просто пропадает.
