I caught a flathead very close to this size Sunday night my scale showed just over 40lbs my second 40lb flathead in less than a month! Plus a 60lb blue Sunday night as well… and two other 30lb flatheads and a 70 plus pound blue within the past month! All 6 fish out of the same spot! Best month of catfishing I’ve ever had…

Been a fan for quite some time now, Justin. Just want to say thanks for teaching this old dog new tricks. No real monsters caught yet, but tons of fun-sizers in the 10-35 lb. range. My 82 yo mother has even mastered the circle hook! Still after that big flathead, but know it’s gonna happen. Thanks again!

Through your channel my dad and I have learned a ton about catfish, and I’m glad to say we are starting to be finally be successful. Have put flatheads in the boat 2 weekends in a row now. I had a good flathead on this past weekend but the one knot I didn’t redo when I switched reels around pulled out on me. Was a heartbreaker that I won’t soon forget. Gonna get some more here this coming weekend

I like the basics for sure. With that stinger fly are you using any bait scent? I fish public waters where the angling pressure is high and started putting Dr Juice on nightcrawlers. My skunked rate went down and my frying pan is busier. The channel cat that never gets big enough for you tastes best to me.
I haven’t been using any extra scent. I figure the cut bait a few inches above it is providing plenty of scent

Dang Justin that was an amazing flathead, you are truly blessed to be able to catch trophies quite frequently, you never disappoint. 👍, is the stability on your old town big water as stable as your PA 14, I have a big fish 120 and am going to get a better quality yak i just can't hardly find one and the sportsmen 120 autopilot and 132 is on my radar
The big water isn't as stable as the PA14 but it also isn't as big and bulky either. The autopilot 136 is the most stable kayak I have ever been on.
