This is what happens when you drink all the time and think you know the law.
His daughter called him the night before trial with an emergency. But he could not call the court because he didn't have a phone...how did his daughter call him then?
Just my thought 😂
C'mon, you don't have Smoke Signals app?? 🤣🤣
Because he’s a liar.
Bingo!
It fell in the toilet! Duh!
Pay your rent and be a good neighbor!! Problem solved 😂
Absolutely, staying responsible and being considerate can prevent a lot of drama! Do you think there are other issues that tenants and landlords face that might lead to courtroom showdowns?
I laughed at 16:13 when the judge asked someone who was leaving the courtroom to come back, as if to say "If I gotta listen to this, you have to too."
Never own a mobile home UNLESS you own the land under it.
You DON'T EVER mess with Judge Simpson. Dude, bad move
This man is like a thorn in your side
That little whine he adds to the end of every sentence…..grrrrr
Gent seems to be suffering from acute and chronic victimitis.
It seems like you're picking up on a common theme in courtroom dynamics! Victim mentality can certainly come into play during many cases. What are your thoughts on how judges typically handle that kind of attitude?
From what I have seen, the judges give defendants ample time to present their cases, even in the face of defendants like this gentleman. Judges are very clear when one party can talk and when they can’t, including when it is time for the judge to talk, and render his judgment. I especially enjoy judge Simpson when cases like this spring up. Thank you for your reply, and especially for taking the time to research, edit and bring your videos to us.
He also seems to be quite the yapaholic.
“Look your honor, I have a black daughter. We’re the same, so go easy on me!”
Absolutely awful.. smh 🤦🏿♂️
It's definitely concerning when people attempt to leverage personal connections as a way to influence a judge's decisions. What do you think would have been a more appropriate approach for the tenant?
@@Karensincourt Hiring a lawyer!!
@@cgill4269. Yep👍
My first thought as well.
Those people usually stick together though.
Fair play.
Whine, whine, whine and waste as much of the courts time as you can. 🙄
I love the body language of the prosecuting attorney. She is so right.
Meritorious, Moratorium, Marijuana, Methamphetamine. They all start off with an M.
Moron, Momo, Man-child..
Melanoma, mushroom, & marshmallow. Malarkey-the crap coming out of his mouth.
So does MICKEY MOUSE DEFENSE
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Moron, misunderstood, mo money mo problems lol
"Can you help me with what that means?" "No." This man is irritating me so I can only imagine how the lawyer, judge, and bailiff are feeling.
And he is keeping them after hours didn't even say he is sorry for keeping them
This lawyer is phenomenal. I would hire her to evict a tenant in a heartbeat if I were in Michigan.
This guy doesn’t know when to stop ❗️
It definitely seemed like the tenant was pushing his luck in that situation! It raises interesting questions about when someone should know their limits in court. What do you think could happen next for him?
He just doesn't know when to shutup
The guy doesn't even know what meritorious means let alone how to spell it. We need to put civics courses back in high school. This country seems to be full of the highly uneducated.
It’s definitely concerning when legal terminology isn’t understood, especially in court situations. Civics education could help bridge that gap and empower individuals to navigate the legal system better. Do you think there are other subjects that could benefit students in the same way?
@@KarensincourtEnglish would help him with the word "meritorious". Certainly this would help with other things in this process as it is the first time I have listened to this man. My sympathy to the court. ❤😢
😳🙄OMG! Just his voice makes me cringe 🙆🏻♀️
Like nails on a chalkboard
Whine, whine & more whines.
Is this Frank Gallagher? 🤣😂🤣😂
😂
His defense reminds me of the Billy Madison “I award you no points” speech 🤣💀
Perpetual victim right there Dude, you are bothering Judge Simpson and ME. Dude, if you want a attorney then pay for one. Just tell him is already been litigated. Money problems isn't the landlords problem. Maybe you need to find a place to live that costs less? Read the room buddy. How do you KNOW its going on with another tenant? How do you know the place isn't taking them to court? I wouldn't think it would be something to be proud of and to be talking to your neighbors about
the landlord should be arrested for renting to him
"I haven't been heard" then he follows up with "I know I missed a trial". After that he proceeds to anger the judge. It's almost like he is his own problem.
I’m only one minute into this video…IS THIS GUY FOR REAL?!!! 😂😂😂
Just hearing excuse after excuse. My dog died, my guineapig had babies, it's raining outside.....and on and on 45 minutes of the same story over and over. oh brother. You want to save your house, but not to stay there???
Yeah. I nodded off and had a nap but when I woke up he was still going.
Must be related to Amber Heard he could of stepped on a bee 👀😂
This guy talked ALOT but said nothing 😂
It definitely seemed like a lot of talking without much substance! The judge certainly kept things focused and made sure to cut through the fluff. What do you think about the way the judge handled the situation?
@@Karensincourtgotta love Judge Simpson!
"Can you spell it for me judge?" 😂 This guy..
It looks like the tenant's arrogance really caught the judge off guard! 😂 What do you think led to such a memorable moment in court?
@@Karensincourt him not showing up to his probable cause hearing.
Omg Lord please be with Judge Simpson
Dude, you had one day to do and say all that ... At your trial
The picture of his black daughter.... was a choice.
Mr. Kelly's lying and sniveling are chronic. He doesn't do what he should and expects to be taken care of by others.
Judge Simpson looks like my kids did when they had to sit at the table till we were done dinner. They couldn't sit still, fidgeting around, looking everywhere. And as soon as they could leave they bolted. Poor Judge just wants to bolt.
Almost feel sorry for him but I bet he was given every opportunity to make it right .
Damn! She’s crushing him. Judgement for the landlord!
He dropped his phone in the toilet, couldn't get in touch with anyone EXCEPT he told us his daughter CALLED him
This is a pitiful pitiful man smh
That woman is a great lawyer.
Absolutely, the lawyer showcased strong skills in that courtroom scenario! What specific aspects of her performance did you find most impressive?
This idiot NEEDS an attorney. He’s too ignorant to represent himself! So sad!
What sewer did they pull this guy out of??
It's interesting to see how some defendants can come off as quite confrontational in court. What do you think led to the tenant's attitude in this case?
@ him being a little sewer rat for sure
Mental evaluation
Judge: "You're distorting things that have transpired"
Oh that's a fact.
Clearly, he's got 40 or 50 years experience with that.
Some people aren’t cut out to be renters. They need to own their own place.
It’s true that some individuals thrive better in homeownership rather than renting. What do you think are the biggest challenges that make renting difficult for some people?
Can't Judge Simpson have him arrested for being a crybaby 😭😭😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
It's certainly humorous how some people react in court! However, judges generally focus on maintaining order and ensuring justice, rather than making personal judgments like that. What do you think the tenant could have done differently to avoid the judge's reprimand?
@Karensincourt it was a joke Karen😆😆😆😆
This man is not very smart!
No, but he’s loquacious.
@ so true! LOL
#1 no transportation? take a bus, ask a friend to drive you. Ride a bike. There you go, you have a bike, so you COULD of gotten to court. Child with you because of a emergency, still not a excuse to miss court. Excuse after excuse. You missed the Trial, your own fault. NO you don't get to relitigate the case. It's done.
The lawyer just gave the biggest takedown.
I couldn't find a ride so I was taken for a ride in court.
How does everyone sit there with a straight face. I would be hollering 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It can definitely be hard to keep a straight face when things get tense in court! The seriousness of the situation often keeps everyone focused, but I understand the temptation to laugh. Have you ever seen a courtroom moment that really made you chuckle?
What a sad and tragic human being.
I hate that he refers to himself as the Court but also refers to himself separately from the Court.
I hate to say it . I don't like being harsh . But this guy is a LOSER . I feel sorry for his child
This simple person needs to shut up and move on. Hopefully after this being spread out on social media, good luck finding a landlord who will rent him an apartment.
It's true that publicity can have lasting effects on someone's reputation, especially in rental situations. What do you think could be a fair way for individuals to learn from their courtroom experiences without such public scrutiny?
Why is he in court? He is all over the place! He is talking like a drunk man.
It appears the tenant may have been struggling to articulate their case clearly, which can happen during tense moments in court. Sometimes, the pressure leads to a less coherent presentation. What do you think could have helped them express their points better?
@ I think having an attorney would have helped him. As hard as it may be, just accepting that you were in the wrong, helps you and us better than making excuses for your actions.
He is a drunk
This guy is annoying and argumentative, narcissistic.
This guy doesn’t get it. Can’t believe how much time Judge Simpson gave him to say nothing.
It's definitely frustrating when someone doesn't seem to grasp the situation, right? The judge often gives defendants ample time to speak, hoping they'll clarify their positions or reflect on their actions. What do you think the judge could have done differently?
Omg Mr Kelly please stop talking
It seems like Mr. Kelly is quite the talker! What aspects of the situation do you find most frustrating? I'd love to hear more of your thoughts!
@@Karensincourt What’s really irritating is just how much Mr Kelly is speaking without actually saying anything. He’s just latching onto the next word he can think of until a full sentence is made. That, and the victim mentality even though he missed his own trial.
Oh my lord.
I enjoy watching Mr. Allen. You can tell he is listening because of his accidental facial expressions.
Good morning your honor. Can I show you a picture of a puppy? This puppy loves you very much and will cry big puppy tears if you don’t rule in my favor.
😂
And Mr. Allen is standing by...
It looks like Mr. Allen is in for a significant lesson from the judge! What do you think about how the judge handled the situation? Any particular moments that stood out to you?
You missed the court date? That wasn't smart. They want you OUT what's not to understand?
Tenant dude is in way over his head, and I think he is not really very bright.
Picture of his daughter??? I would have the police look into that and look into missing person reports through out the Country!!
This is Frank from Shameless fr
Absolutely what I was thinking 😂
I am done means that you are done.
This man is a professional victim
Hey guy…..go get a job.
How can anyone be so butt-hurt when he DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR TRIAL?
UNbieveable.
So embarrassing 😔😔😔 I feel bad for this man, he looks absolutely ridiculous!!!
It can definitely be uncomfortable to watch moments like that in the courtroom! The judge's reaction often highlights the importance of accountability. What do you think the tenant could have done differently?
@@Karensincourt Should have spoken to legal aid before coming to court
Don’t play with Judge Simpson
So it's not his fault, any of it. He's perfect and has never done anything incorrectly in his life lol. Asking the judge to spell meritorious was funny
Mr Kelly should be a sovereign citizen, to judge by the way he acts like the laws don't apply to him.
That's an interesting perspective! Sovereign citizen beliefs often lead to misunderstandings about the law, as we saw with the tenant's behavior in this case. What do you think could have been done differently to address his misconceptions in court?
I had an awful neighbor who wouldn't lift a finger for anything. I helped her move in as she seemed like a sweet older lady, but then when I asked her to not smoke directly under my windows because it caused the smoke to enter my home, she instantly asked, "What rule say I have to do that?"
The first thing I got from her, after helping her with so much, was her saying that if it's not a rule, she won't do it. Not even if it caused someone who helped her pain and misery. What sort of person does that?!
I tried for a long time to get her to understand, and when I finally had enough and reported all that she did, she was evicted. And she had the gall to tell me that I was the bad one for not talking it out with her. She, she who did nothing about anything, I barely got responses from her on any topic. She did everything to waste my time. And she was angry that I reported her?
I was so happy when I saw her move out that I danced! For real! And I do not know how to dance!
Anyway, this man seems very much alike from the story above I wrote. Everything he did was just the same whining about how bad it is for them, which is caused by themselves and how they treat the people around themselves.
They never care about what they do to harm others. It's only about them, them, them.
It sounds like you've had quite a challenging experience with your neighbor! It’s frustrating when someone doesn’t take responsibility for their actions, especially when it impacts others. The similarities you draw with the tenant's behavior in the video are interesting-self-centered attitudes can really create unresolved conflicts. Have you found any strategies that worked for you in addressing issues like this in the future?
@@Karensincourt Many, the most important one is:
Report stuff as they happen instantly. They will use it against you otherwise when you have no other course of action. The one I got was the, "If it was such a problem, then why didn't he (me) report me (the bad neighbor) until now (weeks later)?"
All the while having told me to talk to them about any and all problems so that a quick fix can be made. It was neither quick, nor even a fix. It was them stalling for time because, I believe, they had done this to other people before me and knew the ropes, so to speak, of the outcome that follow.
They don't want a good outcome for the both of you, they only want a good outcome for themselves, and they care not what you want.
Just to add: The example I wrote, about smoking under my windows, was just one of many issues. Not wanting to detail it too much, I can say that I had to call the police two times because of screaming and throwing of stuff from arguing between her and her son.
Those two events were the worst, but they weren't the only very bad events.
Ice bucket challenge on his head please 😃
This is why you need a lawyer. 26:23
Wa Wa Wa Grow up and pay your rent and be nice to everyone else.
Ole Gill’s really gone and done it this time
What an obnoxious liar this guy is. “I didn’t get my day in court” 😭
Because you no-showed for it!!
He’s got such a whiny tone with everything he says. It’s so grating…
It's definitely interesting to see how emotions run high in court! The judge's reaction to the tenant's claims really shows how important accountability is in these proceedings. What specific aspects did you find most compelling?
Mr Kelly,,, no sympathy.
I kind of feel bad for the tenant
I feel bad for the dude. As much as we like to watch the judge dunk on wrongdoers, I feel like this guy is in over his head and is losing his composure because he doesn’t understand the rules and the judge isn’t giving him much aside from grief. I’m not saying the judge should be obligated to help him, I don’t have a solution. It just feels like a flaw in the system.
He’s old enough not to be in this situation.
That’s what lawyers are for.
He chose to address the court this way. As many SCs like to say to cops and judges: “ignorance of the law is not an excuse.”
There’s no sympathy from me.
Did he get a competency test?
That's an interesting question! Competency tests can be a part of legal proceedings, especially if there's a concern about an individual's mental state. In this case, it wasn't mentioned, but it's definitely a crucial aspect in many courtroom situations. Do you think competency tests should be more common in eviction cases?
I've seen several videos of this guy in court over the same issues, and he just doesn't play with a full deck! He takes NO responsibility for himself or his actions, he lives by EXCUSES for himself, and he creates answers at the drop of a hat that are not only baseless to the charges of the housing management or the court, but which are flat-out LIES.
Personally, I question his mental health -- though I can't determine if it's due to medical issues, emotionally based, or a bad character. For a proper diagnosis, he REQUIRES a professional!
*Don't miss the guy's FINAL lie, too: The vehicle of the neighbor who was to give this tenant a ride on the day of the bench trial broke down. And it's STILL broke down, sitting in the neighbor's driveway, per the tenant -- although that SAME neighbor DROVE HIM to this court date. Catch that? 😆
It’s all an act- contrived ignorance. While he’s not bright he’s filling the air with insincerity, complains instead of explain, tries to instruct when he’s the dummest one in the crowd but he acts like he doesn’t get it- here in lies the con. That’s the act.
It seems you find the tenant's behavior quite frustrating. Manipulation can certainly come off as insincere in court. What do you think might be the judge's best approach in situations like these?
Watched a little more... yeah I think I am done with Simpson.
It's interesting to hear your thoughts! What specifically about the judge or the case didn't sit well with you? I'm curious to know what aspects you found most frustrating.
" The Girls " ? 😮 Character References? 😂 No Transportation ? A thumb & forefinger Might indicate the Choices you've been Making , Aren't Wise or Productive . 😮
It seems like you're highlighting some interesting points about the tenant's situation and decision-making! The judge's approach can really shine a light on the consequences of our choices. What are your thoughts on how character references play a role in court cases?
He just ram les but not present any defense at all he definitely does not need to represent him himself at all
All this defendant does is whine about how hard being pro se is. He is not giving any defence to the the request for termination. Even after speaking to a lawyer he does not have his defence put together other than he denies being rude and mostly denies everything else also. i do think it is unfair that there is no proper legal assistance for tenants.
Sure, he missed a court date, and that's certainly not acceptable. However, this feels like outright bullying from both the judge and the plaintiff's attorney. He genuinely doesn't understand the legal procedures, and despite being polite and asking for guidance on presenting evidence, he was met with hostility from Judge Simpson. For the record, I generally like Judge Simpson, but he can be extremely harsh when he's in a certain type of mood. Even the most innocent questions or tones seem to set him off. Anyone who watches him regularly will know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. He can be boisterous and rude. The constant smirks and head rolls are getting pretty old too.
You didn't show for the trial🤔
I get what this guy us saying. He may be going about this the wrong way but ive been there. All the BS from the legal people etc does overwhelm the average person and very seldom does the tenant get a chance to plead their case. There is suppose to be due process, and before the average person knows it 2/3 stages blow past. I can tell this man is completely overwhelmed by life itself. Too many things happening at once and he can't verbally express himself. Being overwhelmed can beat a person down badly.
You bring up an important point about the overwhelming nature of legal proceedings, especially for those not familiar with the system. It's essential that everyone involved feels heard and has the opportunity to present their case. How do you think we could improve the process for tenants in these situations?
Using a photo for pity
It's an interesting perspective! Often, visuals can evoke strong emotions in court, but it's essential for evidence to be relevant and factual. What do you think about how emotions can impact a courtroom's perception of cases?
THIS JUDGENIS SUCH A DRAMA QUEEN. ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SAY NO, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE ON THE DAY, CASE CLOSED. HE WANTS TO ACT SO SELF RIGHTEOUS. I SWEAR!!
Sounds like John Wayne
To be fair, the lawyer for the plaintiff, the lady in the hair-bun, brought up a glitch in her computer system as for why something did not get done on her part. That is almost as bad as claiming dead, and or dying relatives, And then there is the hair-bun. I'd rule in favor of the alcoholic due to the lady's hair-bun alone.
It's interesting how courtroom demeanor can influence perceptions of a case, isn't it? The hair-bun comment adds a humorous touch, but it’s essential to focus on the substantive issues being raised by both parties. Do you think appearance should play a role in legal proceedings?
So he missed his trial & is now complaining that he hasn't got to speak. Wow🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
It certainly is ironic when someone misses their chance to present their case and then feels like they haven't been heard! What do you think could be done differently in these situations?
So you couldn't use your daughter's phone to ring the court🤬🤬🤬🤬
Using a phone to connect with the court can sometimes be a tricky situation, especially under stressful circumstances! What do you think would have been the best way to handle it in that moment?
Dude is pathetic. He knew what he was doing and knew he had no defense so he wanted to play the “idk what im doing im sorry your honor” bs lmao
Ahhh a perpetual victim. It's not my fault that I didn't turn up for the trial & didn't let the court know, I am entitled to an attorney but I wanna represent myself but noone will help me, waaa, waaa, waaa. Someone needs a wambulance🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🙄🙄🤬🤬
It seems like there's a lot of frustration surrounding self-representation and court processes! When it comes to navigating the legal system, support can definitely make a difference. What do you think could help those in similar situations?
