Such vibes in this park as always! I can't stop repeating how refreshing it is to see players give the animals lots of space to roam.
There must be a trick to making exhibits not look empty. Perhaps woodlands and parklands are among the hardest habitats to recreate because we tend to ignore the undergrowth and just plant some trees with grass underneath.
I would love to see you step back and take us with you in your creative process where you decide where to place clumps of foliage, where does it naturally grow etcetera. I prefer a guide format over a speed build though.
I also love how you did the rock walls under the Paraceratherium walkway. Again, a little guide for making artificial as well as natural rock formations look as intended would be fantastic
Finally, regarding tree guards, I wonder if there is a correlation where they are less necessary if the habitat is less densely populated with browsing animals but offers more trees. This way individual plants are not targeted as often and have the opportunity to grow a little.

Glad you like the zoo. I think next episode I'll go in more depth on how I plan the foliage for each space, especially since I'll have enclosures with a varying amount of foliage densities to show off. (I don't really like speed builds either, but I can show you my thoughts with what I've built already).
I do need to look more into tree guards. They're usually put in to prevent rubbing which can wear the tree down. Browsing can be an issue, but a fence around the tree won't really stop that as the tree will usually grow over its guard. The main places I've seen tree guards used IRL are for larger herbivores like rhinos and buffalos (with varying usage), so I will look more into it, as well as alternative methods of tree protection like rocks and boulders.

I’d maybe add a door to the indoor areas to the paleo cats for realism

Thanks for the shout, but the night rooms are actually accessible. I didn't really point it out, but half of the bars is a sliding gate with a track on the ground to get keepers and kitties in and out
