He is playing the correct chords as far as I can tell (I play piano but i know a little guitar so I'm not sure exactly) but unless he has some way to make his guitar sound exactly like the guitar in the official soundtrack he is using the soundtracks audio. But otherwise Good Job Ryan! (I'm not hating just pointing out)

There are like little things you can use so your hands don't get cut
They are called guitar picks
Pressing on the strings hurts more than strumming. Also you have to play the strings one by one for this song which you can't to with a pick.
