I have some complaints: 1. You didn't sing I'm horny 2. When the catamaran died you didn't scream 'I'm sorry Wilson!' 3. Despite the best nautical battle in some time you didn't make a single captain pugwash joke
This is a semi true battle , the portuguese and the ottomans did fight for the red sea , ports blocked the red sea puting end to mameluk egypt trade empire with the indias for spices, and the ottomans took control of egypt sortly after. If like history look up portuguese ottomans war it has amazing black and forth Battles with some of the most handicaped Battles in history. Great match Lion
Fantastic! Isn’t impressive that this tiny power at the tip of Europe was fighting (and winning) on the other side of the world against the giant Ottoman state
I did not know that boats could be your most trained unit. Unreal match. Btw Aztecs on the water are gnarly, dudes in canoes with arrows flog big canon war ships in this videogame
Reinforcements from kerim, but reinforcements again coming in .., but more reinforce .. however reinforcement from again.. xD. Such an insane cast and combat 😄🙏
Port is so good on water, even though their navy isn't as good as brit or aztec, or arguably otto (who are more about rushing water and winning that way). I just feel like Port has the best civ synergy, and the tcs on the coast really is a massive advantage.
This is a first for me. I had never seen an almost entirely water-based battle on a ranked match. Is this a thing? This was awesome! Always wondered what pro players would do in water maps, but then learned there are no water maps in ranked. 😥
Ports have extra TC's which when placed near the water give VERY good water control, they dont have vill cards so very easy to ship Schooners. Otto are just insane at everything haha, early age up means they start water booming very early, lots of wood creates to start, free vills so all res can focus on water
Best aesthetic change in de was the otto and indian ships having their sails being marked by crescents rather than crosses, because Ottos and India (Mughals) were muslim not christian haha
Fun fact: Batu and karim has fought on this same exact map before Batu was brits and he did church FI with gentelman of the pike and beated him 😂 I wish lion casts that one as well

for petes sake Lion, stop saying that galleons etc. have good resitance against building fire! TCs and outposts do siege anti-ship damage not ranged and thus completely ignore ranged resistance. ranged resistance works only against land ranged units like musks or skirms!
@@jakubmalinowski1474 because galleon is classified as siege unit as well, and anti-ship attack from TCs has 0.5x multi vs siege units. it has nothing to do with ranged resistance.
The reason Otto is ‘good’ on water is they get extra wood at the start. It’s easier for them to build momentum from there with schooners, they also don’t need any villagers on food to make more villagers. Brit gets a bit but their houses are expensive and built slower which means that they have to pay more wood to fuel the boom. Sure the extra villager pays for itself fairly fast but it still slows any water efforts down. Brit cards are better but it’s a risky earlier in the game and if the opponent doesn’t contest water much these advantages are pointless. Even if they do, it takes a long time for these advantages to actually matter.
@@Peachrocks5 ye people tend to overlook starting resource situation @elmeti02 brits also do have low land to water support. they do have their houses with better LOS than regular one, but this is kinda pointless advantage on water maps such as this one. ports have not only free tc (with early water bombard damage) for each age up, they basically add up every age up additional housing space and doubles their settler rate to increase the rate of building ships. On top of that TCs have great LOS and I prefer having additional one of them over 5 brithouses (similar Woodcost-wise). as brit to maximize their settler amount boost you just have to give up early water contest and retaking this part of the map is a really difficult task. regular water cards such as 2 caravels or 1 frigate are definitely helpful but needs such a well timing momentum to retake so its safe to say its giving basically most of the water food to your opponent. Scenario do change only if brits semi ff with keeping land pressure onto opponent. yeoman + siege archery is a pretty niche, but also not a bad combo against kept off-guard age II opponents. Caravels arent the greatest against longbows later on while massed-up longbows do wreck buildings and smaller ships really efficiently due to their really long range.

I will do better
The best water battle of AoE3 I've ever watched

Yeah the warchief civs are ridiculous on water. So cheesy and lame
10/10 game. 11/10 casting.
😘😘

loved the reinforcement scene :DD
Never seen such a fun water game. Would love to see more off those! The end was a bit off an anti climax though
New to the channel love the content. Loved AOE 3 when it came out and still play sometimes but this is great to watch
Welcome 😁
He went gill nets early cuz he was waiting for schooners before making ships. It was the correct play.
Ah didnt notice, if thats the case then yes that was smart by him!
Damn man you are living the game :D Love it!!
The only way this game would be better is if someone shipped a battleship. Or revolted to get ironclads.
18:09 here's one of the best moment of this channel

There is no Ceylon on DE? was a great map
They should add Ceylon to the ranked pool. Just to watch the world burn (drown?) for a patch.
the catarman voice lines sounds like it was recorded on a game boy color
I would totally hype the AOE3 ASMR, Lion. ! 😅
Can somebody give me a summary why Port and Otto are considered the best water civs? Do they have unique cards?
Ports have extra TC's which when placed near the water give VERY good water control, they dont have vill cards so very easy to ship Schooners. Malta king in water, their ships get +1% HP with every shipment, they have lots of ship cards, also with fixed guns any choke is secure.
Isn't it -1% ?
@@dimitrisoikonomou3568 no its +1%.
not to mention that they can build TWO battleships for some reason.
We need to see the French Vasa, it makes all battleships receive promotions
I love water map, more war ship please chalenge water map amazon/caribbean

I LOVE you casting, so exciting
have a nice day
Momento
Brawl in the pool
Not Trafalgar bro, Lepanto.
Id say that aztec has the best navy in the game
Love a good water match

57 seconds what a Timing ^^

We need more water maps for aoe 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I thought the best water civ was Haudenosaunee :o
😅

I think the britishs are better than the otolamers in water
