Are these rifles considered the top 8 because of the quality or because of the market share. I can think of a couple right off the bat that are much better firearms. Let's say first how about .275 Rigby Highland Stalker, or any one of the new Mauser rifles some with interchangable bolt faces and barrels.
The Thompson dimension should of been looked at by more hunters, unfortunately it was discontinued to fast . The Dimension had 5 r rifling along with the ability to change barrels, I bought 2 left handed rifles and 4 extra barrels before the were no longer available. At 100 yards with factory ammo I can cover 4 shots with a quarter
On the black bolt rifle they say the 5 land rifling has a smaller bearing surface than the 6 land. This would be so small as to make little difference in drag and possibly a lot of difference in accuracy. No matter what the bullet should contact the barrel all 360 degrees of the barrel. I don't believe this hype.
