I agree with the last point, Spirit Saiyan is actually a strategy and a viable power-up because it's energy from all around the world, instead of the Z Fighters on 1% battery. So it makes way more sense for Goku to one-shot Super Android 13 with a power up that basically has him reach, at least, Mastered Super Saiyan levels of power.
Also, I dunno why Toei felt the need to have Goku look DEMONIC while on that state and give 13 the meanest "GRRRR" face

A-13 was a generational violator. Not only was he savage when it came to hands, he had bars - man really flamed Trunks' whole style. Had Trunks questioning his choice of barber. *Then* 13 tried to end Goku's entire bloodline, and he gave Vegeta that Bane treatment.

What really pisses me off in DB fights is when one character is getting whooped as a super saiyan and then the other saiyans go in to attack without even bothering to transform from base. Super 13 wouldn't feel as much like cheap filler trash if they a) fixed the power levels and battle IQs of the characters and b) put a few more weeks of lab work into Super 13's design before committing it to the future of the series. They could make a new Super 13 that looks way better and we'll still have blue ogre 13 mucking up videogames and merch for decades to come.
When I was a child back in the 1900's I watched this movie on vhs in Japanese, and Japanese subtitles with my uncle's and I was like daaaannng in my head, because Goku got nut checked seriously 😂 I felt that as a child 😭
