During winter, your machines will use way less water, and you can buy water for a cheaper price. It's a good idea to stock on water and produce as much things during winter.
If it feels like you never have enough time to get everything done in a day, you can make time move slower by going into the Options and reducing the ‘Game Speed’ setting. Likewise if you find yourself standing around waiting on your resources with nothing to do, you can change the game speed to make it up to 3 times as fast and quickly zip through the day instead of standing around twiddling your thumbs. Also, Stamina Knowledge LVL 3 allows you to stay up to 3am and still get sleeping well benefits (and no panda eyes). Helpful for working late with no drawbacks. Great tips.
Great tips! I would just add that new players should take the opportunity to buy items at 'By the stairs' at 50% off on the first week. I always buy a few chests (I find it's cheaper than using your precious wood to craft mini chests) and stock up on salt (for salty fish and leather) and soy sauce (for dried sandacuda).
@@KainYusanagi Oh yes, I almost forgot about this, it's like his "welcoming present" to give you that one-week discount when you're new. Thank you for sharing 😄
This is a huge improvement over my time at portia. That was ok but felt like such a grind, especially the mining. Sandrock art style and character models look great. The combat looks fun. Cool hammer ! I will definately keep an eye on this one for more gameplay. Thanks. 😊
oooh thank you for these tips! i've played for maybe 4 hours and i've been so confused on how to do everything, there's so much to keep track of i'm lost lmao
I'd add buying water whenever you can from the tower - it only stacks up to 25 for the super cheap water which takes about 3 days to restock fully. So any more and it's wasted.
I also enjoy making holes in Portia's mines! I like to just keep digging to get to the relics and then find myself in an underground labyrinth when I finish 😆
Playing the critters card game with a character increases relationship (+1 per loss, +3 per draw, +5 per win). You can play up to 3 games a day with a character. This takes no in game time or stamina. I find this better than giving gifts. You can do this as well as giving gifts (and sparring) to accelerate relationship. Not all characters will play critters, but most will. Also, later in the game you can buy a recipe for the large storage box from the mysterious man.
Thx for the info! Water is needed for almost every machine, etc, so collect all the Dew you can - Dew Collectors are nice but breaking Hard Rock is fastest way I’ve found so make the crane and go down to 3rd level in ruins to get tin ore so can make the bronze pickaxe and also bronze wood axe.
always do junk piles everyday and always do commision everyday and make sure you done it that day . eat food at owen to replenish stam and always make sure always have back up resource for everything
Prioritize dew collectors. As soon as you can craft a semi decent amount of those any water worries will be a thing of the past. Also, if you happen to have the fox pet from kickstarter backing it can forage for water (or other things) once a day and that will actually keep up with your water needs all by itself for a long time.
Plus. On the first rain day, your dew collectors will rapidly fill up in a day. Having multiple dew collectors is a great way to bank on that sweet rainy day
If you have a complete relic, place one in your house. it will passively give you relationship +5 points, few times, randomly during the day . Although it will give to a random NPC, but it still nice.
SPOILER* donating to the church is a bad idea... every single member of the church except burgess will leave the game eventually for story reasons so donating anything to them is a waste since they wont be sticking around.
Awesome video & keep up the good work & I always planning the things I do in sandrock once I get this game & I can’t wait to get to know fang for my first time because I have a feeling that he was suffering from grief after his mother passed away & I want to let him know that he is not alone & I will be there for him right by his side & if he ever needs to cry I’ll hug him until he stop crying & my clothes will get wet until he calm down no matter what & I will tell him that he is not the only one is losing a family member because my grandma passed away last year on Sunday November 26 2023 & it was three weeks after my 23 birthday & it was very hard for me right now & deep in my heart I know that my grandma is now in heaven watching over me & I know fang mother is in heaven watching over fang as well too no matter what☺️
Thanks and I'm sorry for your loss... One thing I love about this game is how colorful and complex the characters are. There have been a lot of updates since the upload of this video and I'm looking forward to jumping back on this game.
@@ThalryGames yeah & I know fang will feel better on the inside when I’m with him right by his side no matter what & if I’m happy then fang is happy as well too
Listening to all these tips about storage I'm like yes and then I realize I'm playing on console😢 and as far as friendship goes only one I want to befriend is Logan
I'm sorry I'm not really familiar with console 😔 but it's totally okay if you don't wanna actively befriend everyone, friendships naturally increase as you go through quests and commissions 😊
I feel like the Ps5 version of this game and the game you are playing are not the same. I noticed it when you were looking at the Data Disk book. My upgrades look a lot different. The refiner is not even listed in my Data Disk book.
I'm not sure of the differences between PC and console so I can't say for sure. But for the PC version, the Research with Qi has 2 tabs at the upper left side of the screen. The upper tab has the recyclers and furnaces, while the lower tab has the worktables and refiner 😲
@ThalryGames Nice. Yeah I noticed this last night after I got a quest to build an Ore Refiner but kept being told to talk to Qi. Console versions are a few patches behind from what iv read, but all the core stuff is there.
Do you have the "Keep up with the Yakmels" quest with Cooper? It's currently a known issue by the devs and they said they will address this issue with a patch. But some people were able to work around this by talking to Cooper when he's in the Saloon on Saturday night. Some tried talking to him twice/multiple times before fixing the fence so they had to reload a save before they fixed that fence.
You need to get married first (you can check our Relationships Guide to learn how 😁), then get a baby crib and a single bed in your home. You will have a pacifier option with your spouse where you get to talk about having a child 👶
You can recycle some rubber scraps that can be gathered using a bronze pickhammer in the scrapyard at the corner near the right crane lift (they look like tires) I think they spawn every 2 days or so. The mixed junk piles also have the chance to give rubber scraps as well.
I wanna know when will they optimise game on both PC and consoles. Performance is crap atm. Screen tears all over the place and quality mode works like this is high end graphics and particles.....Why developers keep releasing games in an unpolished state ?
I'm sorry, I used the footage from the My Time at Sandrock - Gameplay Trailer and didn't think there would be spoilers there. I'll try to be more careful next time 😔

The ability to change time speed on the fly is an amazing feature.
