The Honeywell Lynx 7000 panel allows for local control of z-wave devices without a subscription. You can set up rules, schedules and scenes for z-wave devices all from the panel. Fir the schedules you can set a fixed time or your can assign the time to be sunset or sunrise which is helpful for turning on and off porch lights. Changes can be made only at the panel unless you subscribe to the honeywell total connect system. If you subscribe changes can be made from anywhere using a smart phone app. The panel is a little old now so it a bit bulky and does not have the latest technology with things like sensor encryption. The honeywell lyric is the newer system, I have not used that system yet so I am not sure if the lyric allows local z-wave control without a subscription.
@@billrutgers8412 Hi Bill, the Lyric is a little different. It allows local control always, but it only allows local scene creation if there is no subscription to Total Connect 2.0. Once you connect the Lyric to TC2, it loses any ability to create scenes locally, and only allows them to be created via TC2. This isn't ideal for every customer. We've provided feedback to Honeywell/Residoe about this, but so far, it has not changed.
@@jorgevalero1805 thank you I appreciate it! and thank you for the phone calls sorry I'm very busy in the hospital and with patients all day at ridiculous hours. I intend to get in touch with y'all soon as soon as my schedule lightens up. Thanks again
@@jorgevalero1805 hey Jorge, because you guys were so patient and appreciative of my time, I purchased the Qolsys 2 panel today from you guys. Thanks for the informational videos. In about 4 months or less I will be starting the monitoring plan with you guys as well. In the meantime I will be viewing your posts and educatuong myself with other things, such as, cameras that are compatible with the Qolsys, which I think, I just need to make sure they are compatible with alarm.com? Thanks in advance for your help and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
There is an Alarm.com App available for Android devices. The two apps look pretty much identical. In some videos we show things on the iOS device, in others we show them on the Android Tablet.
What light bulbs are there that are compatible
Is there a panel out there that has it's own application to be able to control all of your wave devices without needing the alarm.com app?
There is not that we're aware of. A Subscription service is sort of the point for manufacturers when creating these types of panels.
