Thank you so much Rotor riot, i am agree with your judgements and i try hard to progress every time , all days on simulator when i cannot fly, Really thank you guys , I apreciate ,you give me the motivation to do my best !!!!
The reactions! 😂😂 this was fun to watch. Interesting point system I think could evolve and at the same time motivate pilots to challenge themselves and break standards. Look forward to more. Thank you for the review, fellas 😏 I’ve learned so much from all you guys, it’s an honor!🙏🏼
I am very, very new to the world of FPV, so new in fact I have only recently brought my first radio (Taranis QX7s) and Velocidrone just two weeks ago! But I know from watching your videos and those from the likes of Johnnyfpv, Charpu, MrSteele, to name but a few, that this is what I want to do. You've inspired me to become an fpv pilot, and for that I truly thank you. I hope this becomes a regular feature, maybe have 'guest' judges on, interview the pilots etc, because one day, I will see one of MY videos on here, and that will be simply amazing. Thank you again, and keep up the inspiring content. DanDarefpv
I totally LOVE this scoring system, it's not flawless but it's simple and suits this format in general. Rating home brews takes a little of everything and I believe you just hit a sweet spot there ! Also, the way you created this PandemicStyle videocontent was absolutely amongst the very best i've seen so far... even from professional broadcasters... GREAT job guys !!
The Second one is the only way to impress me.. the first one is boring it’s waaay to predictable and it gets me sleepy but the second one is waaaay more interesting If he would push it a bit more and does some more stuff where you think what the heck just happened he could be one of my favorite pilots
I'm a newbie like an infant but since I started watching your videos I learned a lot. You guys not only are knowledgeable and experienced but also very cool and engaging your audience. The topics you pick and making videos/reviews are excellent and have to say well done. Thanks for your contribution and support to this community. Amir from Sydney :)
I was worried that people would bash you for bashing other’s videos, but, I think you did a great job by picking pilots that you loved, so that feelings wouldn’t get hurt. The whole time watching, I didn’t realize til the end that I had been watching for 37 min. Very entertaining. Love the Johnny videos, also. :)
@@Silicon_0014 yeah, I know. But what I see with this video was 2 randoms and 3 RR pilots. If Rotor Riot really want to fix their reputation, they need to go places that breaks out of their comfort zone.
Liam Lambkin I think they were underhandedly talking about him when they were saying fast flips are nice but it needs balance which steel is very good but he’s more about technically than smoothness
@@pantac4493 I wasn't underhandedly talking about anybody. If you read that as talking about Steele, that's a reflection of your own impression of Steele's flying. That's fine -- you're entitled to your opinion, but let's not make up drama where there isn't any. There is enough real drama already without making some where none is implied :-)
1000%!!! Doing a really tough trick is one thing. Doing that same trick while trying to keep together another 4 minutes of a "one pack" flight is completely different.
You guys hit the nail on the head about Johnny. Amazing production and tons of skill. I just wish that he'd create a second channel with some raw footage. It'd be great to see some normal flights and/or full flights!
I don't know where y'all got that the Johnny FPV video is the best freestyle video.... Le Drib's Howl 2 video is hands down the best video. Use of space, difficulty, spot, everything is spot on. And when it comes to production value, it's one cut. Start to finish. Nuff said.
I love the discussion where it looked like you are about to agree on a four for his video then there's a beat. "All right I'm going to stick with three" 😆
This is a good idea, great format.I think this will give more people an idea on how to attack a location. I enjoy it and look forward to more of these.
thank you both for that video it was so good to watch and to see how the raring system worked out . It was great to see something different from rotor riot. Keep up the great work so we all can keep on watching the many great vidoes you all do thank you all
I had fun watching this video, good job coming up with something entertaining during this challenging environment. Now that the scoring system is known, have each pilot make another one trying to score as high as possible as a follow up video
i think you guys missed that ERODYO was flying a mobula 6 in the dvr shot. then switches to (quicksilver) a different quad with hd footage flying the same line.
Thank you rotor riot. I enjoyed every minute of that video. I think that was awesome judging. Now that I sanitize your keyboard tell me where I can send my quad have it fixed in tuned. I'm new to fpv and need some real help here. You take care have a peaceful day. Definitely two thumbs up.👍👍
Great video guys! If I had to add a category it would be overall “Excitement” value...it was interesting to watch you both watch the videos and see how excited you got seeing Rodeo’s video vs the others. You seemed much more excited about his video at times than the others...which seemed to me to be a plus for him.
I don't like risk as a category - I only have one kwad (and not enough money for another) so its hard for me to do things that might result in an expensive crash or losing my kwad
One reason I like to fly is because of my gymnastic past. Body orientation twisting, flipping in space and time trained my brain for flying. In gymnastic competitions one is judged by the execution of particular moves. There are compulsory moves and virtuosic moves that get extra points. Your conundrum reminds of the NBA dunk contest in some ways. They've still not evolved the scoring system over decades whereas gymnastics, skating, diving and the like have figured how to judge subjectivity into something objective. I liked that you started something like this. Please add execution and virtuosic or novel moves to the scoring system somehow. Also use ten instead of five because of the higher resolution and we're rc pilots. . . we know the metric system.
I'm not sure whether execution and novel moves should go into "difficulty". Like if we look at somebody like Florian Roque who does a ton of novel moves, I would score that as 5/5 under difficulty. But should originality be a separate category from difficulty?
@@JoshuaBardwell Good question. Originality would fulfill the virtuosic moves and should be credited somehow. Maybe another category is good. I"m not sure yet. Execution however should be integrated. You are naming moves now. That's just like gymnastics. In gymnastics you create a sequence of individual moves usually while moving. This is fpv flying too. I'm not asking for routines but I could see it coming to that at some point.
Joshua, it would be great to have some of these FPV pilots come fly your property and then produce their own videos. Would be cool to use your ranking system to judge who does the best with everyone flying the same location!
This was awesome! I think you guys should do more of these. It introduces tricks and individual swag from the talented pilots that we can all aspire to duplicate with our own twists, while gaining fans for the pilots. New tricks to learn too. Pilots can use the guidelines as a template when they go to fly and edit footage, making future footage better and more interesting for all to watch, thus introducing more people to the hobby. Awesome job. Get more judges and more awesome pilots like George Ciuta and JTrue & Gunwoo
In terms of freestyle FPV, LeDrib's location was definitely a 4 or 5. That's a dreamy construction site!! Also difficulty...a grind and a backward dive through 5 stories?? Definitely a 4 or a 5. Damn Bardwell you're harsh! :)
Definitely makes ya want to think differently when editing vids 👍. Gave me some ideas. Tho I mainly race now I’ve been diggin some cinematic freestyle lately with my Flightone dolphin. My style with it is called dolphin style. Nice and smooth with lots of big moves.
For "Risk" can you add how many gopros you have in stock to risk? Seems like if you have a bunch of them, it's not really that much of a risk, compared to if you only have one and no bucks or access to get another if you trash it. I know;...Life is a cruel mistress, Simpathy?>next window, Wanna dance ya gotta pay the band, And it's all a percentage game. Either way, ya I know I suck.
I think Erodyo had a cut . He started with low battery then cut. It was awesome 👌 but ther was a cut. The only reason I mention it is because Drew made such a big deal about it being one pack. It was so sick you forgot about the cut. Lol. Love you guys
Remember the RR episode when Drew entered a freestyle comp and the “local” guy won just by doing a crazy amount of tricks without any flow whatsoever? Drew had it hands down.
Familien Hansen Can’t find it. Not sure now whether it was on RR channel or the Drib channel. It opened my eyes though. Almost impossible to get a winner in freestyle because different pilots prefer different styles, and in the end it always comes down to who has the power.
