Soon a guy became interested in her & it was 6 months later that she agreed to go out with him. She met him away from her home as she didn't want men in & out of her daughter's life. They dated for 2 years before he asked her to marry him. She wasn't willing to be introducing a number of men to her daughter. So when it was serious & only then she introduced him to her. They have been married 22 years now & from the moment he met my granddaughter he has said this is my daughter, never had he called her my step-daughter. She needs to know where she came from but my daughter's husband is her Dad & they are a lovely family. My ex sister-in-law used to do that back in the 60's &early 70's. Back then stores (K-Mart, Woolworths, Sears) would take items back without the receipt. My brother was in the Air Force. It got so he would send new clothes and shoes to mom and when she got the 2 boys(twice a month) they wore the clothes and shoes and she made sure the clothes were washed. The stores wouldn't take them back then!!

This happened to me, when I picked her up, she said I needed to give her $250.00 for the babysitter, I got out of the car, opened her door, and told her to get out, she insisted that I owed her that money because we were going out. Yep. I'd understand buying the kids something if they'd been dating for a while, but not on a first date. Plus it's a first date and she's already yelling at him. Don't nobody want to be yelled at like that. I can't believe she said he was dating her kids too. That just sounds weird to say. I'd have no issues dating a single mother but they wouldn't act like that.

I'm glad this man was smart enough to do what he knew he needed to do to make sure his children got SHOES instead of giving this grifter money for shoes so she could spend it for something else like some of those realistic looking nails or lashes. What a caring mother. She wants her children to wait for shoes so she can spend the money on herself. I hope he NEVER gives her actual money. If she asks for money for groceries, go to the store and buy groceries. She is absolutely NOT trustworthy and she is too selfish to put her children's needs before her own wants.
