This is a compilation video showing the entire Vault of Glass raid being finished completely solo from the beginning to end, with every encounter being completed during Season of the Witch. I previously had another compilation video where I completed all of these on Titan, although the Atheon was from years before and everything else done in Lightfall. This time around, it's all done during the same period on Warlock, although it's significantly easier now than before. The two main reasons for this being both Gatekeepers and Atheon. Gatekeepers especially, as it's pretty much trivialised by preventing the Overload Champions spawning with the Magnetic Grenade bug. Doing it without the bug vs with the bug completely changes the fight, turning it from the hardest challenge in the game by far, to one that's quite simple. Atheon is much more consistent and easier than before now too. The strategy is more creative and interesting I think, but it is easier, other than being a complete RNG check. So overall, the whole run isn't too difficult now, but it's still nice to have another full raid clear to post.
For the run itself, most of the early encounters were a mess. Templar in particular, as it's been a long time since I've run that, so I messed up a lot and went down to the very last break. Entrance was sloppy, and the others are simple enough not to mention.
Outside of that, as I've already been asked a lot about doing a Solo Flawless Vault of Glass myself, I have zero plans to do so. The amount of RNG issues I had on Atheon made that alone near unbearable, so putting that at the end of a nearly hour long run isn't for me. While the rest of the raid is quite consistent and easier than ever before, Atheon being a pure RNG check with only a 25% chance at success is horrendous (unless you get lucky of course).
As I've also mentioned before, from a content creation perspective, marathon challenges and grinding for something like that aren't beneficial for somebody in my position. Spending an unpredictable amount of time is still hours of content to provide if I was streaming, as I'd still get to show the entire journey, and that's what runs like that are all about. But because I stick to videos only, the end result is all that matters, and everything else ends up being wasted time.
If there's ever a more consistent method to reduce the RNG, or a 1 phase for Atheon (so it's only a 50% chance to work with), I'll probably do it then. But for now, it's not for me, and I'm happy to have all of the individual encounters done again. Maybe we'll see a Hunter strat for Gatekeepers and Atheon at some point, then all 3 classes will be complete.

Dude has this game down to a science. It’s almost unfair how all around good this guy is. It’s not just knowledge but his skill level is fucking insane. There were so many panic moments that I would’ve fucked up in but he makes it look like a minor issue. This dude is THE Guardian.

The mad lad did a solo flawless run, Eso presented what he has already done with each encounter solo in the past (maybe updated aetheon). He explains it in his description, but it is still a full solo run start to finish, just not a solo flawless run is all. Ive followed eso since d1 before i had any friends online to do solo raids, and I appreciate every vid you have provided sir. Good job, and hope to see more awesome content from you 😄

And for best I'd use whatever helps but feels personally better. As much as I use well there's times in a nightfall where it's good and all but stasis helped me more

I've watched the original person solo flawless VOG and now I've watched Eso do it, but I'm still confused on the ridiculous amount of damage they're doing on Atheon. What are they doing that's causing such huge DPS?
Fusion Grenades, plus verity’s brow, a warlock exotic that increases grenade damage with same element kills. I think the max stack of 5 gives like double damage, and on top of that there’s the tractor cannon damage buff.
@@acoustic_.Not only that, Time's Vengeance gives 200% (3x) grenade damage
the buffstacking is as follows:
it all happens to fusion grenades because
- grenades get an intrinsic 300% multiplier on dmg aswell as a massive chargetime boost during atheon damage phase
- verity brow (exotic helmet) for another 200% multiplier on x5 stacks which he sets up before damage (and this is also the reason he shoots harpies during dps, the kills are required to maintain the verity buff during damage, it only lasts 10 seconds without extensions
- monochromatic maestro for a 110% multiplier which gets applied for 5 seconds after dealing solar weapon damage such as extending verity
- tractor cannon for a 130% multiplier by debuffing atheon.
all of those add up to a 3.0*2.0*1.1*1.3=8.58x multiplier to grenade damage, causing each fusion nade to hit around 500k while being able to be thrown every 3 or so seconds.
while there is a lot of cool and difficult stuff in this run, this atheon damage isnt part of that. this is very standard for most warlocks and not really difficult to do. most people can run this in a vog because it only requires a solar weapon, verity and tractor while not being super apm/precision heavy

proc devour and switch subclass. the buff will still be there until it runs out so the goal is to get enough kills to keep it active to profit from the health and nade regen

no? its not about being in the portal as your rocket connects. the only exception that lets him do this is volatile bypassing the minotaur shield. shoot add next to him with volatile round sniper > makes minotaur volatile > shoot rocket to proc > it breaks shield > wolfpacks clean up the adds and mino

@seigefn3432 idk coz 15% extra damage is worse than the parasite but it is still pretty close so u can honestly use either. i 6 phased with debuff nades and parasite on warlock this season (very optimised tho so i dont hit it every run) and it's usually a 7 phase. wheras i think eso 9 phased here (would have been 8 phase if he didn't mess up). so yeah its pretty close it doesnt matter much.

@@seigefn3432 i mean it doesn't affect nessas because that is procced by the nova/nade but yeah 10% on nova on top of the 15% extra debuff is kinda big but not as big as parasite i think. maybe i should start shooting a nessas shot before i throw nova.

Between oracles and templer is a cut. You can see that he don’t switch subclasses. So no full run!
At no point did I say it was all in the one attempt, which changes nothing. It's still the full raid being done solo, with every encounter being done solo
