Nice video, I think that Tasmota is a system that offers some really cool functionality!

      We think so, too!
Tasmota is fantastic for being versatile, and self-contained!

Thankyou for this, I bought some plugs a few months back and not got around to using them, until Tuya decided to kill everything this weekend. I thought I'd followed the written instructions but couldn't see the plug on Home Assistant. Turns out just using the IP address in the 'Configure MQTT' rather than trying to be clever fixed it.

Tis frustrating when vendors pull the plug on things!
Whether you can use `homeassistant.local` on the plug is very dependant on your router.
Ultimately, Tasmota doesn't ship with mDNS enabled, but, some routers will correctly resolve `.local` domains for you, which allows it to work!

I have frequent power cuts (rural UK village) when this happens my mesh system reboots faster than the starlink (starlink is in 'bypass' mode and mesh system is used) anyway because the mesh system reboots quicker than the starlink router it leaves me with no Internet, can I use this smartplug to have a delay of a minute or two before coming back on after a power outage? Ideally without home assistant?

Great video, how I can reset the network, I changed the router and now I can't find it on the network or WiFi

Quickest way is pressing the button 6 times.
You can find the documentation here - blog.mylocalbytes.com/kb/2023-02-01/refs-wifi-smart-plug#my-plug-is-not-connecting-to-wi-fi-i-entered-wrong-wi-fi-information
