I prefer the Zeta version as I never got into unicorn, which is great as unicorn is about selling unicorn gundams and Jegans. Just realised the HGUC GM II from the zeta series actually has inaccurate leg features that are from the unicorn version probably to save cost. The inaccuracy is in the knee armor and feet.
Not just the knee and feet, the shoulder vent on the HG is one continuous vent, not two halves like in the MG (ironically, the MG Unicorn version is using the wrong shoulder vent as it using the Zeta vent design and not the singular continuous vent design from the Unicorn redesign).
This comment will be missed since it's so late. But, the skirt armor is actually not the same but a little longer. The main difference is the back skirt, but the side and front skirt are indeed slightly longer.

I like the Unicorn Ver of the GM 2. It feels like an improvement to the original Zeta Ver.
