💍 Thank you for this video!!!! Your wedding invitation are absolutely gorgeous, very elegant! My niece is getting married in a few months and I’m trying to give her ideas on saving money and this video is so much help! Thank you! I’m definitely watching all of your wedding videos since I found this a year after you posted it. Thanks again and God bless. ♥️
Did you mention anywhere how many invites you actually bought? Also, just fyi for anyone else, a good way to pick up gold leaf is with an old makeup/paint brush!! This way you don’t have to get your hands dirty and they’ll also brush off extras too. My wedding is in 2 years….. and I’m already doing wedding prep. 😅
I think i bought 60 invites but only made around 40.. and yes such a good idea!! I was trying to figure out the best way to put on the gold leaf and was struggling with that for sure!!
LOVE YOU FOR THIS! Even with trying to find ways to DIY, I’ve only been able to find invites for minimum $450! Now with the amount of invites I’m making, I can do it for about $130 ☺️ Love it!! 💍💍💍💍💍
💍 super helpful! I didn’t realize how much wedding invitations cost, and like you can’t understand spending that much on paper that I know as a guest I didn’t pay much attention to! This is very helpful thank you!
This was my plan for my invites before I even saw your video. After watching, I know for sure that’s what I want to do. They look great and I love DIY-ing stationary. 💍
💍 this was so helpful! We’ve been struggling with wrapping our heads around how expensive weddings can be during this process and this is exactly the type of tutorial I’ve been searching for. Congratulations of your wedding ♥️
You are so welcome! I am so glad it was helpful to you!! It was mind blowing how expensive weddings are so i wanted to cut costs as much as possible but have the guests know i was cutting costs!! :)
I loved the gold leafing, I’m celebrating my 50th Wedding Anniversary and that a great idea, I think I will be doing that to my invites. I stayed the whole video! Good video!
Good job! You are so smart to save money and make your invitations look beautiful yourself. Your husband to be is a lucky guy😉Congratulations on you wedding💞
As a designer pt use Odd numbers so wrapping your invitations do 3 wraps and/or decorating odd numbers in a bouquet, table arrangements ect count everything in the grouping counted as 7 individual things the eye see’s ❤😊 which is an odd number. Hope this makes sense
CONGRATS!!!! I am so glad this video helped you!! I plan on making a bunch more before my wedding but make sure you check out the ones I have already posted too!! :)
Hey girl! Thank you so much for making this video!! I used your links and everything is perfect! My fiancé and I are very impressed with the finished product! I used the “Devoted Delight” invitation with the envelope color in kraft on Truly Engaging. For 70 invitations is was $86 with shipping!
Hello which style did you pick? Also how did you do the back details? I am trying to do it but it doesn’t give the options for additional details just by itself if that make sense. Thank you
I picked the eternal love style! For the back, when you are editing your invite there is a "design" tab which allows you to pick the layout and QR code optionns!
💍thank you! Beautiful video. My wedding is next year and I’m wondering if paper invites are really worth it? We have a destination wedding and we did the e-save the dates. Not sure if I want to do paper invites, I feel like all the info will be on the website which we already shared on the save the date. Looking for suggestions 😊thanks
I definitely don't think paper invites are necessary but it is a nice little keep sake!! Also is a nice thing for photos for the wedding photographer. I think doing cheap DIY invites is a good middle ground so you don't spend too much of the wedding budget!
💍this video was so helpful, thank you!!! I’m scouring the internet for DIY wedding invite ideas that don’t look “DIY” and this totally fit the bill♥️ excuse me while I go watch your save the date video😊
I’m so happy you liked it!! I personally didn’t have to use extra postage but maybe mail a trial one to make sure everything is good before sending them all
So happy I stumbled upon your tutorial! I have been thinking of doing wax seals for my invitations, but was a little intimidated by the process. Your invites look so beautiful I'm definitely going to try it out!
So beautiful! I am currently looking for invite designs that I can do myself and this looks like something I could definitely get the hang of! Thanks for an idea! 💍
wow love your video, i'm very crafty person, my wedding will be 1 year, question, for the address to and name in the envelope, did you write it by hand on the envelope?
Hi there!! Your video inspired me to make my own Save the Date cards! I bought the wax sticks and the Gorilla Glue gun you listed on the box description. Did you struggle to fit the wax sticks into the glue gun?
I would love to know how did you come up with the digital RSVP I am planning to do our own invitations for July and would love to know how you did that
I used Zola for my wedding website and had people rsvp on that! I used the QR code feature to have guests go directly to the rsvp page of our Zola website!
💍Currently designing my wedding invites for my wedding in December! I am trying to DIY most of this process and your video was so helpful! Thank you for sharing!
💍💍 I love this video it was so helpful! Is there a way we could see t the way you worded everything on the invite front and back? I’m stuck at west to say…
on the back I included the hotel blocks and the RSVP info and included the QR code which i showed in the video!! and for the unplugged part which was at the bottom of the invite said “to best share in our special day, our ceremony will be unplugged with all cameras and devices kindly tucked away. We promise to share moments of our big day”
The front I kept as what the original invite said. pretty much the same writing as what is shown on this invite www.trulyengaging.com/product/tender-twig-wedding-invitations?productId=86416&noFoil=1&attributeIds=3
Hiiii loved your invite. Wanted to know if you did your own design or chose one of theirs? I’m looking for this design on their website and I can’t seem to find it. 😢
Loveeee this video! You worked so hard on your invites & they came out beautifully. It looks like the wax seal stamp link isn’t working. Can you please provide a new/updated link? Thank you!!!
💍 thank you so much for posting this! We’ve been stressed with how expensive the invites are going to be but these are absolutely gorgeous and look expensive! I’m definitely going to use the majority of these tips. 💖💖
I ADORE This. I hate the idea of spending 1000 on invites. I love the idea of putting love into invites. (I have like 135 so may be work but I’m committed to making this not a huge expense)
these are beautiful! i am definitely interested in using some of your ideas, but out of curiosity, how many invites did you have to make? i will need about 100-115 cards and with my save the dates, even just stamping/enveloping the cards took me like 2 hours! just trying to gauge how long this DIY would actually take and if its worth it for me or not haha
Your invites are beautiful! How many envelopes does one wax stick take care of? Just trying to see how many wax sticks I would need for about 80 envelopes. Thank you
Thank you so much! I am so glad you liked them! I would say I only used half the pack of wax sticks and sent about 40 invites. (I used them on the invite themselves and the envelope though)
I used to sell wedding stationery & also diy’d lots of invites, holiday cards, etc. and found your video to be excellent!! Great tips & beautiful work! 💍 💛🎉
This is SO IMPRESSIVE!!!! When you are applying the gold foil, what is it that you are using other than your finger to stick it? And how are you getting the foil to line up so perfect to the edges?
Thank you so much!!! I used a sponge brush for some of them but found my finger to be easier so that is mostly what i used! and I used a glue stick to make the foil stick so where ever i put the glue is where the foil stuck so that is how i made it line up to the edges!!
I didn't actually show it in a video. How you do it is: On the Mailings tab, in the Create group, click Envelopes. Click Options, and then click the Envelope Options tab. In the Envelope size box, click the choice that matches the size of your envelope. -- and then you can enter your info (i only used the recipient address feature and used the stamp for my address but you could type both through word)
Hii, what’s the size of the card? Is it A5? And also, can I use my regular hot glue gun to melt the wax pencils? Or they have like a specific gun for wax melting? Thank you!
The size is 5x7. I used a regular hot glue gun!! I would suggest maybe getting a new one for just wax since it is hard to go back and forth from wax to normal glue sticks!!
💍💍 did you use your new last name for the wax seal design? Also do you have a link to the etsy shop? Thanks for this super helpful video; I hadn't thought of using wax seals but it looks so easy and elegant!!!
If you are going to be doing last names I would recommend your new last name. I did our first initials. Here is the wax seal I used: www.etsy.com/listing/843267181/personalised-wax-seal-stamp-custom-your?ref=shop_home_feat_1&pro=1&frs=1
what did you put on your stamp? Curious cause I want to use it longer than just wedding stuff, so to put our new last name is that presumptuous? but the proper way is our individual last names i read online
Love your creativity! Personally I would have stopped at the gold leaf but I love the wax seals. You actually gave me some ideas for another project too lol
💍💍💍 I’m obsessed! I get married on 11/11/23 and I’m feeling the stress now lol but your video helped a lot!!

Love this inspo so much! Wondering if the wax stamp teared the vellum paper/invitation when opening?
thank you!!! i would assume it would tear if you pulled it open. I just slid it out from the top or bottom when opening mine.
I loved the gold leafing, I’m celebrating my 50th Wedding Anniversary and that a great idea, I think I will be doing that to my invites. I stayed the whole video! Good video!

I love your video! Thank you for sharing. what type of paper did you use for these? TIA
Thank you!! I used the premium smooth paper option!
The gold leaf is brilliant! You could also do this on any other stationary and welcome sign etc if you have time.
Thank you so much for sharing ❤💍
yes that is such a great idea!
Hello! These look beautiful 😍 how would people open them? The wax seal holds down the string right? They would need to remove the seal to open?
Thank you so much! i found it easiest to just slide it out but I’m sure some people also pulled the wax string to open it too..
Or maybe removed the wax seal? i am honestly not 100% sure how most people opened it but I always just slipped it out
Hi Sarah! What font did you use for the back of your invitations?
Unfortunately it doesn’t show me the font I used!
Do you have a copy of your exact template? I love how simple and straightforward it is.
I am so happy you like it!! I actually just used a template straight off of Magnet Street!!
@@SarahPopolo did it have that whole back with the details and everything?
