17:38 I have watched you from the beginning. I’m 68 and a grandma to 3. Mom to 2 daughters. Nothing like parenting and grand parenting. Enjoy the journey and don’t rush any stage. It flies by fast. I never believed that and here I am years later watching my girls do their best at being a mama. Rewarding and hard job but absolutely the best thing in the world. Enjoy your precious daughter. Finally a parent that actually takes care of their children instead of putting them in front of the TV to watch Ms Rachel. Hey Kelly, have you tried doing the “binder” like Taylor R did? From myself it looks slightly painful, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it could help if you haven’t tried it
That’s not for distiasis recti it’s for contracting your uterus. Also if you wear them wrong you can have complications later on.

I live in the US too, we have a thing here called Nursery Water, I guess its sort of similar to the type of water you showed.

Yuna looks a lot like her dad, I think. Not baby Ryuji, but adult Ryuji. But everyone said that about my baby too until recently someone finally commented that she looks like me. It seems to change who they look more like as they grow up!

Yuna is adorable! Oh the baby fever! But enjoy every stage even the slow tired phase. Because time will go SO much faster especially once they get to school age.
My daughter is half Asian as well and they tend to look more and more stunning as they grow older. Yuna has that adorable button nose that everyone wish they had and she will never outgrow that.
As for who she looks like, I'd say, its too early to tell but she looks like herself, just Yuna, with a touch of both mom and dad.
I enjoyed seeing how your days go with a baby and in Japan! This was really interesting bc I've never heard of a doula cooking, cleaning, etc and I think this is fabulous! I'm sure it's not cheap to have her come but what a blessing to have a home cooked meal prepared for you! I enjoyed seeing everything from the grocery shopping to the Cafe date and everything in btwn! I hope this finds you well and with some more rest hopefully! Thanks for sharing!
So adorable! Half Japanese baby living in Tokyo was me back in the early 80s. That’s the first time I heard the head, knees and toes song in Japanese. Are you planning on putting her in a Japanese school or an international school?

It's very interesting how baby takes over asian blood more . I've seen many HAFU and I only saw few hafu that it looks more white . Most of them look Japanese . So cute tho 😍

I wish i can have ur outgrown baby clothes i will treasure it forever ..having an autoimmune dsorder is not easy emotionaly and financially so draining wil all the meds and therapy if given this is a very big help to us 😊for my upcoming baby my due is on dec 😊

I think you’re right Kelly on kids bathing with their parents for bonding time. I remember learning to take showers with my mom til I was good to shower on my own & able to reach my back with a body scrub
Omg those beautiful hairs!!! I’m sooo jealous my boy is 6 months now and he bald!!! So bald! A few tiny blond hairs but a comb is not a thing yet 😂

I hope you take this in the spirit it's intended, to be helpful and not to be discouraging. It's important to measure the water first for the bottles, and then add the powder. Putting the powder first in the bottle may make it too concentrated. Doing that over time can be harder on your baby's kidneys.
Don’t stress about your belly! Mine took at least 6-12 months to go down completely after both of my births 😊

is the doula provided by the government, similar to midwife visits in the UK? or is this something you guys are paying for? Just curious because I know Japan offers tons of family and birth services. What a cute family you have!!!
We are paying but the government gives us a huge discount
Megan Moon (she has a RUclips Channel as well!) had the same after her pregnancy (where the stomach muscles didn't get back together). She made a video and shared a breath work technique! That's how she got back to her normal Stomach state :) (sorry for my english haha)
Sadly I have other conditions different from her. Prolapse and umbilical hernia so I’m doing the exercises given to me by my therapist :)
Try the Asian belly wrap for after pregnancies, that speeds up the process apparently to reduce your belly.
Nope! It actually makes ab separation worse! But helps contract the uterus which mine is already contracted :/

in my opinion, I feel like every woman's body is different and therefor, handles things like childbirth differently from person to person. Getting fit is a great goal to have for anyone, I commend you on this, but please just do not beat yourself up over your body, Your body did a KICK ASS thing by bringing baby Yuna into the world! I think youre a total babe!
The baby clothes isnt a total loss, maybe if you decide to have more children, those clothes will fit the new babies too.
what was that "Strange but healthy" veggie she showed? Anyone know? How do you cook it?
Its a little hard to tell for sure in the package but here in the states we call them fiddle heads bc they look like the top of violins and such
