Wally wo Sagase! is arcade puzzle game developed by Sega AM3 and puiblished by Sega for the Sega System 18 June 1992. Tying into the Where's Wally? (Where's Waldo? in the US) media franchise. It is only known to have been released in Japan, however in the game files there are graphics of Where's Wally? and Where's Waldo? logos, intended for the unreleased localized versions of the game, also the "Winners Don't Use Drugs" and "Recycle It, Don't Trash It" screens used in numerous US arcade games of the time are present. The cabinets are for 2 player and a three player. The last one adds a third player slot which is taken by a Wally/Waldo-like robot. Notably, said character appears in the ending of the two-player version.
An interesting fact I learned about this game today is that its trackball controller was used, maybe as a placeholder, during the development of AM3's SEGASONIC THE HEDGEHOG a year later.
I like how they were able to sneak Muttley into the developer's credits by putting him on someone's shirt. Well, the very exact top of his head, anyway, but you KNOW it's him. Guy wearing the shirt's even doing the snicker.
