Saw this film last night for the first time.. Two hours of just two people talking about nothing, but I simply couldn't get my eyes off the screen. Making this film so engaging must've been insanely difficult to pull off, but they did it.
The honest simplicity of this piece is why it was so easy for the viewer to become immersed in it. It's just a conversation, and the way this film allows you to partake in the intimacy of such a common everyday occurrence is why it is so enduring.
Watching this trailer, which looks like it was made by a fan, reveals just how subversive this movie is. One of the best movies that's nearly impossible to make a trailer for and have it look exciting.
This has been one of those films i've been meaning to watch for a long time and wow, it couldn't have come at a better time, exactly everything i needed and have been looking for.
When I first watched the show I didn’t pay much attention to Abed but then I realised wow Danny does an amazing job playing him, like Abed is not an easy character to pull off he’s so complex yet so simple
@@D__03 Oh yeah I remember now. The film is brilliant, had the pleasure of meeting Andre Gregory several times through a friendship with my grandfather (former theatre director).
I got here from a reddit post on how Wallace was cast in The Princes Bride based on how he said “inconceivable” in this movie. Which I find to be a hilarious way to stumble upon such a thought provoking movie.
One of the truly HEAVY films you will ever see. I saw it as a young man and didn't understand most of it. Saw it about a week ago at age &) and was blown away. Still sort of living in a hang over from the film. Most movies are just time wasting crap, This movie can change your life,
Agreed, I don't even know what half these people are talking about stupid netflix. That is Satan's channel. I did however come across this online somewhere, and I thought it was intriguing.
Since I was a kid, I have been used to laugh to the 'My Dinner with Andre' videogame that Martin plays in The Simpsons, even not knowing about the reference. 30 years later, I'm discovering the source of the joke and now I wanna watch the movie.
Not gonna lie I saw a thumbnail recommending this movie and thought he made a documentary about having dinner with Andre the Giant around the time that 'The Princess Bride' was made. Glad I just heard a clip from it somewhere else that makes me wanna watch it now.
When I first heard about this movie and that Wallace Shawn was in it, I immediately assumed it was just him having dinner with Andre the Giant and thought that for years until I saw this trailer
Esta película es una tremenda obra maestra, una de las razones por la cual quiero estudiar cinematografía y dar como profesión en mí única vida qué tendré.
Jack Clare Jack what do you think that whole talk about being buried was all about, was it really some weird iluminatti propaganda? Loved the movie except for that bit, and the part where " Pan" is called a gentle being/entity. So not true!
Jack Clare really?? 😮The real Andre seems like a pretty chill normal guy that could be living in the house next door, guess I'll dive in for more info about him. Yet I felt that way about Treat Williams in Everwood series, and then I was blown away by his looks and charisma in Milos Forman "Hair", so. Pan and his fauns are totally a masquerade for Lucifer and his servants.. and Pedofilia and covens... There's a reason behind why JM Barrie wrote Peter Pan. Check it out carefully on the web... but hey you don't have to agree with me on that.
I remember seeing a similar movie a while ago, but I just can't remember the name! It was a newer movie, maybe around year 2000 with two people just sitting and talking the whole time. If someone by accident knows what movie I mean, I'd be very thankful if you drop the title, or a suggestion down here! Thanks a lot! :)
Funny how it's very much so relevant to date... especially the talk about the matrix and how new york ( as was the example given) prisoner's and guards who built their own prison etc. Funny thing to awaken people who are asleep.... makes you wonder... makes U ponder....🤔
I absolutely loved this film, it’s one of the best pieces of work I’ve ever seen. However, I do not understand how or why this film is considered a comedy. I didn’t find much to be funny in it. Can someone explain to me what is comical in this film or why it is considered to be in that genre?
It recently dawned on me what the classic Russian writers meant when they described life as a cruel joke. Everybody knows it is, but we all pretend it isn't. This movie is comedy in a dark sense. Best not to think too much about it, and continue to pretend... Maybe... I haven't figured out that part yet...
