Moon has quite a lot to look at outside the map. Firstly, it's one of the only maps with two distinct playable areas, leading to some interesting mechanics to explore. Plus who hasn't always wondered what's in those Area 51 hangers or wanted to take a leap on the surface of the Moon??

Moon is such a Detailed map, I love it. Thanks for making these.
This makes me wish that we got an Area 51 map at some point with most of this as playable space
There was a hangar 18 in the og black ops
2 Facts:
1. in the OG moon, when no clipping to the moon from Area 51, the skybox doesn’t change and the gravity/ no oxygen mechanic doesn’t work either It seems that the teleportation activated them.
2. The OG moon section of the OG map has moved. It used to be just behind the teleporter hanger .
YO I remember no clipping on moon back on the Xbox 360 and your spot on. Wonder why they changed it up for things the average player never sees
@@Werk4Cash I don’t know why the gravity/oxygen is toggled by the teleporter but the reason for the map moving is probably because back then the consoles only had a limited area for the map to go but with the newer consoles they had the ability to move the map further away.

Love the mpd, was always confused if Sam was in the pyramid or the dark aether when she controls the zombies
When you use the Gersh device on the rocket map, that same paper changes depending on the amount of zombies. This implies that the Gersh device is sending them there, and not killing them. It was a funny EE.
Only the OGs remember Radaustin27 doing this years ago when these maps were first released
That dude is such an idiot, had a massive successful channel with tons of fans and decided to nuke it all to do garbage, not even to open a new channel, he had to erase himself from the Internet

24:05 yeah you have to have the summoning stone and the rod put them in there after doing the security system they come up and you have to fill them up with souls there are audio files around the map telling you about it
The giant machines are bucket wheel excavators, and yes they exist in real life
I found my love for zombies again and wasn’t always high on moon but I started playing I now appreciate moon so much more
The bio done looks like a turtle shell and the entrance looks like a turtle 🐢

Personally moon is very favorite aesthetic wise. It's easily the coolest looking map, and even though I'm not a huge fan of the map's gameplay, I'll definitely hop on some moon just to appreciate the visuals
The London newspaper is a scrapped map and idea they had and was a peice of symbolism to that.

I remember last year sometime I was playing with a mod menu on this map and I somehow glitched it out to where I was suffocating and floating around in area 51, and then able to breathe and walk normally on the moon. It was something to do with a specific feature of the mod I was using where if I went out of bounds I would be tp’d back into the playable map, and at one point I was tp’d from the out of bounds on the moon all the way back to area 51, which im pretty sure is what broke the game. Its just an interesting system they have where going between 2 areas of a map changes the physics and makes the player take a space suit on and off

To this day I say Chronicles Moon was the best of the 8 remasters

Dope video probably my favorite. One thing you did miss is there’s a hidden teddy bear up on a ledge in the out of bounds area in bio dome that’s been found and no space dog EE but super dope video probably my favorite so far
Those big "excavators" are called bucket wheels and yes they are real they were used in mining they don't get use very much anymore they primarily use electric shovels now adays
Considering how much they attempt to tear apart it’s own moonbase, no wonder it got replaced
Fun fact: The mushroom cloud at 39:24 is actually a result of the rocket hitting nuketown. As we know, nuketown zombies and moon took place at the same time, and both are set (at least the Area 51 portion of moon) in Nevada. So both locations are pretty much a couple of miles away from each other, close enough to see the result of one of the 115 rockets.
Ohhh okay, so the rocket in the ending screen of Nuketown is one of the ones you launch on moon I presume? Dang, wish I included that in the video I just uploaded LoL

The fact you discovered something about London is funny because this map was supposed to be Paris but Treyarch turned it into Moon at the last second

If I was a map designer I would put interiors and little details everywhere out of bounds
the london news paper was most likely a refernec to the fact that moon on bo1 was originally gonna be the eiffel tower but last minute they (the devs) went with the moon cuz it sounded crazier.
The Eiffel Tower is not in London.
