Warriors are their own worst enemy. If they limit their turnovers at or below 10, no team beating them 4/7 in any series for the next few years. Most would be over in 5 at the most.
KD had I think 2 rebounds in the first half, just to add. Anyway, even though I'm mad about the effort at times I'm extremely happy we made it. I do think however that I speak for all Warriors fans when I say that I never want another series like this.
2 things, i dont wanna hear again that Steph cant play defense, he showed up big against Harden and CP3 in this series, secondly, i dont wanna hear any hater saying Curry is not clutch, when Curry is healthy he delivered, always, he averages 28 ppg on 42% 3pt in game 7s, so lets cut the BS this series semented Curry's legacy as an alltime great
Yep. These delusional fans keep on bringing up cp3's hammy. True enough, cp3 might have won the series for the houston at g7, but man. It won't even go on to be a 7 -game series if Ig was playing. Hahaba
Nah man, everything you say is on point. I suggest you elevate your base sentiment from pessimist to realist. From a purely logical perspective, your initial thoughts were absolutely correct. Warriors weren't looking like themselves, you noticed it and called it out. Fortunately, so many talented people are on our team that it defies all emotional based thought.
Appreciate the advice, I’m going to put it to use. The talent is crazy, that’s what also gets them in trouble. But ultimately they really do have that something extra, the champion spirt for lack of a better term.
Man I"m glad you pointed Draymond out. It is too easy to read him when he is not even considering scoring. And he contributed to like half of the turnovers. I hope he realizes that he is a problem.
Hey Alch. I'm gonna be in Hawaii from now until the end of June. Gonna be watching all the games at sports bars. Today was epic in a sports bar. I was wearing the jersey you gave me. The game was just incredible. No other words. Won't be able to be on RUclips much during the finals but I'll definitely check in when I can. Love your vids man.
I'm on the exact same page regarding the pessimism. Halfway through the first quarter I was started to write them off--I knew they could pull it out, there was a lot of game left, but I wasn't expecting it. I think it comes naturally with age (I'm 31), because with age comes success and failure...mostly failure, but that's what you learn the most from. I was there in the late 90s when the Giants got knocked out of the playoffs all the time (the Marlins, the Mets), in 2002 when they had a five run lead in Game 6 and Baker pulled Ortiz, in 2003 when they won 100 games and blew it in the first round against the Marlins (again), in 2004 when they lost the division on the second-to-last game to the Dodgers and the Steve Finley grand slam... When I first started going out with my future wife back in early 2009, I managed to get her into baseball (which is my religion, essentially), and I gave her a whole lecture about this very thing, and I warned her that you can't expect to win, and you might never win--some teams hadn't won in decades, and the Cubs hadn't won in a century. Then the Giants went out and won the next year, and then after telling her it might never happen again and to cherish it, they go and win two more times in the next few years. She's never gone through that deep sense of defeat when you have a shot and don't make it. 2016 doesn't count, far as the Giants are concerned, so while she's become a fan of sports she hasn't REALLY been in the abyss yet (she's not a big basketball fan, so the Warriors' 2016 season didn't mean anything to her). I went through more than a decade of bad Warriors basketball (started following in high school when J-Rich was drafted, who's still probably my favorite Warrior for nostalgia's sake), and I will never take any of this for granted. However, when you lack experience and you happen upon a lot of success at first, it's very easy to start doing just that--you lack the ability to understand that it could have very easily gone the other way. The Warriors in 2016--despite the maybe Curry injury, the Draymond suspension, the Bogut injury, and arguable shenanigans by the NBA--STILL have no legitimate excuses for losing that series. They were the better team, they were one of the best teams ever, and they had a massive lead in the series, yet they blew it. A lot of young Warriors fans are very spoiled with this, and that's not a knock, but it's going to be really tough for them when this run they're on ends, because they don't have the experience of failure to fall back on. They might have been through 2016, but that may very well turn into a one-year bump in the road. They don't have the years or generation long period of suckage behind them. The whole "have faith in your team" mentality is a perfect example of that lack of experience--they always go on big runs, they're so good, good things will always happen! Well, they often do, but they might not...and they might not in THIS game because the only factors that will make a difference in THIS game are the elements at play within THIS game. This is precisely why I personally put so much stock into the present when it comes to sports. The Giants got three rings, and any run they might still have in them with the remaining core is probably going to end soon, if it already hasn't. It's fun now, and it was fun while it lasted, but you can't count on it. The Warriors have it in them to possibly be the only team outside of Russell's Celtics to win four in a row, but they have to actually go out and do it. If only to be able to shut up ALL the doubters/haters, I think this team needs to not just win multiple more championships, but they specifically need to threepeat--not back-to-back, not spread their wins over a decade like the Spurs--because only the Celtics, Lakers, and Bulls have done it. No one is going to give it to them, and it's only going to get harder every season. If they want to buy into the "dynasty" talk, they have to actually make it a reality themselves. Injury, inner turmoil, too many cooks in the kitchen...with sports, it can all end in a heartbeat. Look at the Niners--they had a team that seemed built to compete for a decade...until they didn't, seemingly overnight (remember, the final Harbaugh season before York suicided the franchise saw the team 7-4 and looking to make another Superbowl run before finishing the season with a .500 record overall). This is precisely why we have to appreciate what's happening now for what it is, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that must be capitalized on, because it's probably not going to happen again. If they don't, that's it, the opportunity is gone forever.
mannnn i was mad as hell during the game lol i have never said "yall better than this!" as many times in my whole life as i did during this series. let's go get this ring dubs
Dubs with the big play 2nd half and back where they suppose to be 🙌💯 I think the Warriors were in better shape conditionally than the Rockets and in the end that helped them. Hopefully Dray can get some confidence back in his 3's. Also they shouldn't necessarily take the next opponent lightly either.
This is why the dantoni system will never win: there is no backup plan. Some days you will be cold. Warriors have other ways to get good looks that arent threes. Warriors to csual fans are a 3pt team. They simply arent. Bell, green, iggy, luni(?), and livingston are mid range players. Kd is a mod range player as well. The three comes from steph and klay.
thank you...the rockets literally died by the 3 pointer last night and to be honest as warriors fan this rockets team could of have beaten us cuz they have a better roster bench wise BUT they don't have the right coach to bring them a championship , the thing that makes the warriors deadly is we can shoot mid range and 3's
Sporting News has the location of all the shots during a game if you find the box score. I saw one game where Houston had one shot that wasn't at the rim or a 3. The Warriors score from anywhere. I think that's where Harden has crippled his own game. When he drives and can't get to the rim he tries to get the foul call instead of stopping and popping.
Hahaha I can tell alchemy is hyped af when he hearts like 50+comments . Man it feels good to win this game lol. I wasn't ready for all that warriors slander coming our way honestly!
People acting like Durant played bad, he didn’t shoot well but he got to the free throw line and his passing was big in game 6, his defense in game 6 was big too. And tonight you could tell he was saving himself for 2nd half, he had 13 at the half so it wasn’t like he was playing horrible. I rewatched the game and the Warriors got such good rhythm shots the entire 2nd half, the rockets took too many contested 3s, came out of timeouts with no movement just another iso. Nick young hit a big 3 in 3rd and Jordan bell getting loose ball foul on tucker was big and his 2 screens for curry, he better dunk the ball with 2 hands from now on too that could have been a big play
Guess I'm less jaded than you. I was at work. And I'm the only one there that roots for the Warriors. Down at the half, I remember saying they have to show up. No the warriors are finishef they said, I hope they lose they said, KD's a snake they said. I just said the Warriors are down now. But I'll have faith that they come back. Look at me get on RUclips later after the store closes. Excited to see the score, but mistakenly I switched them somehow. And was initially sad. But I can't count out LeBron, I've seen him destroy Melo too much as a Knicks fan. But this Warriors is something special. High class at every level.
Your videos are incredible. Your analysis is twice that of any other comentator that actually tries to break down the game. The way you approach evaluating different people's abilities to be successful or play a certain type of role is super accurate. The psychological and competitive edge type observations you make are always spot on.. not many people are able to see that honestly hah thought I'd give you a shout
Exactly with you on this one AA, I was ready to break something valuable in my house after the 1st half. And honestly, I think we dodged a few bullets in this one... CP3, and 27 bullets... lol. Exactly correct on KD and his terrible boxing out and rebounding too. KD needs to get schooled by Hakeem in the ways of interior defense. Spot on about Draymond too, the guy needs to get himself an offensive game. Literally agreed with this entire vid verbatim, lol.
Have an early day at work tomorrow, but I stayed up way later than I should have just for this video (maybe a little too hyped to sleep too lol). It's always worth it though, always love to hear your commentary.
Great analysis as always. Spot on with Draymond; his unwillingness to shoot is starting to shrink the spacing the warriors normally have on the floor, and like you said, he needs to do something other than pass the ball
Wow flash back jersey with a dubs tat on your right shoulder! They are on 🔥🔥🔥 Yeah we had another crappy first half. Glad we found the mojo back in the third and proceed to control until the end. We gotta play better against the Cavs. It will be different game as they will try to slow us down. We need to rebound better!!! TT in 2016 still haunts me! Glad Looney and JB played great tonight. JB coughed 3 freebies but he’s giving everything else. Last game it was Klay and this game it was Steph. Glad he put on his PG hat and start making plays in the third. Surprisingly KD follows and everyone played better all of a sudden. Steph needs to do that in the next series as well. All comes down to Round 4 with the bron. LBJ will try to put everything he got to secure his legacy. Too many times in this series that Harden disappeared when his team needs him (Kd to a certain extent) but LBJ won’t give up on any possession. We gotta play smarter and take care the turnovers. Box out and move for better shots in the offense. We play good defense we should be ok! Let’s get it go dubsss!!!
Thanks for the amazing commentary, Alc. Could you talk about what Draymond does specifically? During the game, it's nearly impossible to not follow the ball, so lots of defensive moves go unnoticed and it's hard to understand why a team isn't scoring. I'd love to see more coverage of defensive strategy.
Damn Alch, I got such a similar thought process, but your knowledge of the game just articulates it so well. On the inside ima pessimist too but on the outside I gotta always keep it cautiously optimistic!
It's kind of ironic. Warriors championships will now have multiple asterisks beside them for many people. It's just kinda funny. But regardless of that, was it Houston's coaching/Morey ball that killed them? Because you mentioned about the threes and the physical defence not mixing but I'm pretty sure Ryan Anderson should have stayed sitting in this game because his minutes gave the Warriors an instant boost to their offence. But allowing Steph to get at Ryan probably helped them with him having his way offensively, just one of the biggest turning points in this game. Kerr vs Stevens sounds nice, oh. Nevermind. Warriors in 5.
I agree about dremond, I like his presence on the floor big time but his lack of shooting makes them more vulnerable to the opposing team to attack more but when he doesn't hesitate it throse them off becuz now he becomes more of an threat, that why its good to have my boy iguodala becuz he's another dremond but much better on the ends of the ball.
According to Draymond's mom on twitter, Dray been dealing with a slight tear in the right rotator cuff that will require surgery after the season. That's probably contributing to his lack of confidence in shooting
I wish Babette didn’t disclose that information.. now the Cavs Draymond will definitely not even try to guard him.. they will live with 30 wide open threes .
Great video as always Alch! Will you do a preview of the series? Ik its not fresh news to anyone this matchup but im curious to watch you breakdown the cavs. Keep it up ma man!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.Curry has that verse on some of his shoes,I believe a big factor behind this team's success is the spiritual dimension, they are the best plus guys like Curry are believers. Working well for them so far I'd say
Alchemy - I'm surprised you didn't mention Kerr's decision to go with Hack-A-Capela late in the game? I thought that was a brilliant strategy to stop Houston from... well... tossing up more 3s lol
Alchemy, you and C3 with completely different styles, are the best GSW analysts on youtube. Superb analysis, haha but I disagree with maybe 30%. 1) Draymond shooting is not going to draw defense to him. If he hits five 3's in a row, they will still not defend him. His confidence shooting or not shooting isn't going to change that. If the clock is not running down, his contribution is entirely mathematical -- 3 pts X his average on 3's. 2) If Andre does not go down, we win this series in 5, even with them having CP. 3) Salary Salary Salary. SO VERY FEW analysts go there right away, so nice going, and that's what defines winning. Houston has two losers on multi years eating money. Ryan Anderson and Nene. They have to move them both or there is no way to extend Capella, Paul, Green or Ariza (Paul is 33 and Ariza 32 btw). Anderson and Nene will be hard to move. Teams won't want those multi year obligations. 4) Kerr was largely unanimated. I think he and Mike Brown sit there and know . . . know 100% at their gut level that playing 10 guys will grind down 7. You are dead on about the Houston intensity, but it's the short rotation, too. GSW's Kerr System is all about being cold blooded. He sees advantages and he takes that advantage and puts that on the throats of people. We shoot better, Kerr demands management of possession count. We have more people, Kerr grinds them down with it. You understood it. They missed those shots because first they were tired and second because their spirit was broken. Also, more so than in the past, at end of quarters Kerr breaks rotation to get shooters on the floor, or defense on the floor. Klay and Steph were on the floor in the final 5 seconds of quarters, just to get a shot up. 5) Harden and Paul were little bitches. GOOD CALL. No one else is mentioning it. You know who else is? D'Antoni. His post game was all about brown nosing ownership. "We're very close to knocking these guys off. We'll tweak a few things and take them out next time, for sure. blah blah blah" He knows ownership is obsessed and he's being a little bitch trying to keep his job after losing probably the only chance they'll have. 6) With their salary issues, and I mean this, I won't be surprised to see them miss the playoffs next year. They may be knocked out by OKC.
Clicked on this faster than I can blink. Alchemy = Goat 🐐
Tetralogy. (Penta, Hexa, Hepta, Octa, Ennea, Decal, Poly)
Deadass been refreshing for about 10 min for this Alc
The whole big 3 went off in the clutch. Perfect ending to this rollercoaster road to the Finals for the W's. #Dubs2018Champs
Lol. I can't wait to see that JR Smith-Nick Young matchup.
Highkey looking forward to this match up haha
Elijah Carey they are the same person
Nick Young is way better than bumass JR Smith
I'm so happy for Chris Paul. Now he has time to practice his shimmy dance for next season.
I think that was just karma for being a prick.
The shimmy curse begins...
he needs to work on that shimmy, it SUX
nicu that's ice cold man. But he'll definite need to use your ice to ice his hammie up. LoL. Laughing at my own joke.
lol this aged funny
The type of nightmares Warriors give the Rockets has Freddie Krueger jealous

Under 10! That’s like once every 10 games tho.
Qronic pretty diffficult. Very unreasonable to ask of them to take such exceptional care of the ball
Curry was phenomenal
Armaan Sandha Exactly
Alchemy is a hater.
^^
Ambrizzle33 WTF is wrong with Alcehmy? always hating on Curry smh.
Stayed home from work so I could watch the game. So damn glad I did.
nearly lost my mind watching this game
KD had I think 2 rebounds in the first half, just to add. Anyway, even though I'm mad about the effort at times I'm extremely happy we made it. I do think however that I speak for all Warriors fans when I say that I never want another series like this.
Alchemy plays and understands bball.
Smoove plays and understands video games.
#facts
Hentai Soldier that's some cheese right there.
Smoove can ball in real life though too.
Steph going off and getting really focused was the turning point in the game. Hope Steph has his best finals !!
Finals MVP
2 things, i dont wanna hear again that Steph cant play defense, he showed up big against Harden and CP3 in this series, secondly, i dont wanna hear any hater saying Curry is not clutch, when Curry is healthy he delivered, always, he averages 28 ppg on 42% 3pt in game 7s, so lets cut the BS this series semented Curry's legacy as an alltime great
That hack-a-Clint when up by 9+ was evil genius material. When the whistles don't blow in your favor you force them to.
GSW GSW GSW GSW!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the post game therapy as always AA!
Had to stay awake until this video was dropped
I stayed up on the east coast just to hear your highlight and analysis man. Thanks for posting tonight man.
Appreciate the support David!
"James harden answered the bell" how clever alchemy, ur a genius with words!!!😂😂
The Malay-American Guy I don't get it.
Arash Akbar jordan bell was guarding harden
Lols, that went right over my head. Good catch.
Prayers for Chris. He deserves a spot on the Warriors bench at least.
He Right Where He Belong...VACATION
We Don't Need Egos Along With Big Heads In The Warriors Organization CP3 Stay Where U Are
I wish
From the door you went in on James Harden
0-27 ....
But it’s the Refs...
Hentai Soldier 3 fouls in 4 minutes it was still the refs
EnerG 😆😆😆
Klay had like 2 or 3 fouls in the 1st
If Iggy is healthy, Warriors win in 5 tho....
Yep. These delusional fans keep on bringing up cp3's hammy. True enough, cp3 might have won the series for the houston at g7, but man. It won't even go on to be a 7 -game series if Ig was playing. Hahaba

CP3 so pisssed hahahhahaha bad karma!

“Wash the salt out that beard” lol 😂
Alchemy with that throwback!
where's the shimmy now cp3? 😂
mannnn i was mad as hell during the game lol i have never said "yall better than this!" as many times in my whole life as i did during this series.
let's go get this ring dubs
Bricks by the boatload was used so well 😂😂
FINALS BABYYYYY!!!
Aegon Targaryen That's Just Something That Happens Naturally
AA the real GOAT
You genuinely seem happy. I wonder how many bottle of beer you drank after this one lol.
What a game What a game ups and down but gotta chill when u get the chef🙈🙉
GOD OF 3rd quarters -> CURRY
Athletic Alchemy You look extra happy delivering this one! I'm right there with you!!! Go Dubs!
27 straight misses and they say IT was rigged goh!
I miss 2016 Draymond. Great 2 way player. If he returns to that form it's a wrap for everyone.
Dude. I love you. Your chill delivery and clever phrasing. I really hope you get some serious coin for this one day.
To only be down 11 at the half..I was very optimistic for how bad we played.
This is why the dantoni system will never win: there is no backup plan. Some days you will be cold. Warriors have other ways to get good looks that arent threes. So silly of Harden to just walk away after the loss... this was a great series, No need to be a salty and butt hurt about it.
Man... Steph didn't hit that shimmy on CP3 after the game like I was hoping!
Carlos De Leon he isn't that badass lol😂...
Steph has some class.
Hahaha I can tell alchemy is hyped af when he hearts like 50+comments . Man it feels good to win this game lol. I wasn't ready for all that warriors slander coming our way honestly!

KD also seems to be the only Warrior who gets "superstar calls". Steph had like 0 FTA in the last two games.
Finally, been waiting
thats the scary part of playing with the cavs, i hope they play with alot of effort
You're a real one. Love your honesty and how objective you are
i saw this in my in my recommended + chris smooves etc and i picked you over all them :)
Where is Curry's credit? He saved them in the 3rd, he was one rebound away from a triple double too.
Had to stay up for this vid but hellla of a comeback by GS
only GSW game analyst i'm subscribed to. AA ur the best

Keep the humor coming Alc! I miss the cornucopia of one-liners from your old videos. It wouldn't be an AA banger without the zingers.
They are on 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah we had another crappy first half.
I’ve watched every one of your videos, Alch. Thank you for this!
Appreciate the support!
Can't wait to see the Cleveland preview! Great work as always Alc
Who watching the highlights even tho you seen the game
We gon be championship!
I look to point some more nuanced stuff out moving forward. My extended breakdowns are full of that type of stuff.
You didn't even mention draymond starting to pick up the beard only to let him drop that shit was hilarious
I agree with the other guy. Harden was being dragged because he didn’t wanna be let up by draymond
Damn Alch, I got such a similar thought process, but your knowledge of the game just articulates it so well. On the inside ima pessimist too but on the outside I gotta always keep it cautiously optimistic!
Love you Alchemy. Always look forward to your input postgame.
You don't think it's that Dray expending so much energy on the defensive end that he's taken a back seat to trying to score at all..
Alch a low key hater on Steph
Steph deserved more credit for leading the way in the 3rd
I see Alchemy's notification, I click
I agree about dremond, I like his presence on the floor big time but his lack of shooting makes them more vulnerable to the opposing team to attack more but when he doesn't hesitate it throse them off becuz now he becomes more of an threat, that why its good to have my boy iguodala becuz he's another dremond but much better on the ends of the ball.
that was a good game. Alchemy you're the man
I see you Alc with the We Believe Jersey’s
I’m crying bruh. 😢😢😢 Warriors in 4. 2018 Champs.
I honestly wouldve loved to see gsw and boston for once. Im getting sick of playing cavs in the finals too
I didn't think we would see Bron and company in the Finals again, but let's go!!! #2018Finals
According to Draymond's mom on twitter, Dray been dealing with a slight tear in the right rotator cuff that will require surgery after the season. That's probably contributing to his lack of confidence in shooting
That would explain a lot!
I wish Babette didn’t disclose that information.. now the Cavs Draymond will definitely not even try to guard him.. they will live with 30 wide open threes .
The fact that you predicted the outcome of the finals game one, with the comment of Durant not boxing out
perciate alch w the on point analysis
AA should be on ESPN
Great video as always Alch!
Will you do a preview of the series? Ik its not fresh news to anyone this matchup but im curious to watch you breakdown the cavs.
Keep it up ma man!
Im going to do it in a pod format...not enough time to do a big cinematic one.
Nice, only in patreon right?
Btw thanks for the response
Phillipians 4:13..Get another championship team! #DubNation
Kyle De Vlugt I can do all things?
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.Curry has that verse on some of his shoes,I believe a big factor behind this team's success is the spiritual dimension, they are the best plus guys like Curry are believers. Working well for them so far I'd say
I have been waiting for your video!
Hell yea 1st! Alchemy baby
Agree with you bro...1st half seems like htown wants it more..
Wait I thought Newark, NJ was Brick City. Turns out it’s in Houston. Hahah. Flopping Chokers.
WE HERE!!!
Alchemy with the og warriors jersey!
You are really good at analyzing
In 4 more games Le3-6 will be born!!!
Right they will always gap him, but it will keep them honest right now they are like a cornerback sitting on a bubble screen.
I watched the 3rd quarter again and believe or not the momentum of the game changed when Harden refused Green's help after he fouled him....
