Johnny, replace the OBX lower skid plate with the rough country hidden winch mount panel and the tow hook brackets. Way cheaper and a better option than the modular bumper.
@@chuck7465 Well, yes and no. I have this on my 2.7, but to fit the winch you need to relocate the transmission heat exchanger. However, to use it only as a skidplate, it bolts right up with no modifications.
When you speak of getting stuck in reverse, the problem is skid plates "back blade" the sand and build up enough sand under the vehicle to reduce the grip surface of the tires in the sand...
That is a great point Bernie. Very helpful. Thank you. When looking back at my tracks it would appear thst I was in such fine dry sand thst the turned tires caused too much resistance and were dragged eventhough I wasn't hung up or catching in the middle bit I agree with you 100% about the back blade dangers. Awesome tip! Thank you!
You want the Sasquatch. Having fun offroad will just make you want to do the same or similar upgrades later on with more hassle. Might as well just start with it.
I appreciate all the info you give out. While watching this video I heard the comment about the mud flaps. Ford Performance sells front and back flaps for $50 per set of 2. I will be buying a set and trying them out. Take Care.
Right on Larry. I should have mentioned thst when it's a Badlands or Sasquatch the 50 dollar ones don't fit. PHIL, MY FRIEND WHO WORkS AT THE FORD STORE PARTS DEP, tried it and we had no luck. Just make sure when you order them they fit your model
If it's an ecoboost soon. If it's a Hybrid maybe in 4 to 6 months. Canada may have had a few spots in the system after November 15th for hybrid but I can't get proof yet. However if it's a Hybrid better tell yourself around November December build. As an ecoboost I really would think within a few mo ths but I'm getti g word that the microchip shortage has gotten really bad and thst we will see the results of this soon...next build month
Johny I liked the "Wow!" by Marie at the end. Uh oh! Her last answer to where the Bronco can't go I was expecting her to say jokingly, "the Moon!" Anyway, I enjoyed the beach and sand driving very much. Thank you.
Thank you Russell. Her wow says I've got some explaining to do and have to stop dropping surprises on her. Lol. I'll be okay. I didn't make it to the premier as I was stuck on the road but hoped some would chat in the premier
Hi Johny is 2022 Ford Maverick balanced out in Canada, I see in Maricktruck club ordered in Mar in BC already have VIN. How is that possible I ordered in Nov 23rd still waiting build date how is that possible Thanks
It would seem that at the beginning a certain % of production is set aside for Canada therefore balance out or sold out dates can vary between the USA and Canada.
Driving on the OBX looks like a lot of fun! Did you come to a conclusion about whether you need a Sasquatch? If so, I missed it. I was listening to your video on my TV while cooking. I consume most RUclips videos on my TV.
George I meant to end with the show saying I'll let you all decide if it was needed. MARIE almost got stuck but a little brains and avoiding stubbornness got us out A okay. I think 99% of Bronco owners don't need the Sasquatch and I'm one of them. However a regular tired outerbanks, big bend or base would have gotten stuck I'm sure. For what I hope to do soon I'll need the sasquatch for the clearance and extra tire
I'm sorry to not have summarized my opinion. I had this idea of showing the 2 models going through the sand and letting g the viewer decide if they really need the sasquatch. We didn't get stuck with the Badlands but it was close. Then again it was a hill with light sand. Non Badlands would have gotten stuck for sure due to tires but for what we did and have do e we feel sasquatch is overkill and only worth the mo ey of ot truly is the style and lift desired. Otherwise for medium to light offroading adding a lift and aggressive tires to a Big Bend will do the trick. Metal bumper fore is aust in case of deer or a tree in the forest but for 98% not really needed for offroad. Stabilizer bar disconnect is a rock crawl only necessity.
The sand near the water isn’t too bad. Up high near the hills on the way back is like driving in deep snow. You will be drifting left and right in that sand. Do you need to air down with the Sasquatch? That SUV got stuck right near the entrance to the beach. I think he should’ve turned right back around and gone back to the pavement!
Fun to see you two together out in the wild.
Thank you. We had a blast and I'm glad I got to show the beach to the community.

I'm going to look into this. Thank you for the help.
My outerbanks plastic everything is not great and I appreciate the help
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews it's what I used to upgrade the front of my OBX and honestly, it looks great.
Doesn't fit 2.7L unfortunately

I do agree. However, the bad lands will take you most anywhere. So I think a base badlands is also a fantastic option

I just realized those Flaps are for standard fender flares. Not Sasquatch. Might still be able to modify.

Hi Jonny great video thanks. I ordered Maverick Lariat with all packages and Tonneau cover on Nov 23 in Toronto any idea of the build date Thanks

We're in the OBX now, just drove my F-150 up the beach in Corolla.
Right on! It's a great place
For who wonders where this place is I’m assuming it’s Carova North Carolina

Hi Johny great video
Thank you. I appreciate your support and your regular appearances in the community chat and comments section
Baja mode would have let you see through the front camera (provided that you have a front camera).
No front camera. I was too cheap. Lol. Was...lol I'm still cheap. I got mad at tolls on the way to Outerbanks N.C and drive on the 1.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews Toll roads are the work of the devil and their evil minions, the politicians!
👍 nice beach..
was that swan beach ? or carova beach see any wild horses
No wild horses but I loved corolla Beach in North Carolina
I can’t seem to post pictures here so I’ll put them on my NW Missouri Bronco Facebook page
I'll try and find that Will Cooper. Thank you

100% agreed. His front wheels would not engage and the tires were regular mall.crawler Edition. Good old 2 ply
please no need to show that pedestrian belt buckle.. 🤡🤡🤡
Just love how it loudly bangs against the plastic. Oh well, easy fix
No you don’t
get to theee damn point,,,wtf
Common man. It's a free video without 5 minute commercials. If you want high productiilon value I can recommend Netflix or cable that gets the BBC.
