I can’t help but think this situation will never actually be resolved. You’ll get dogpiled for saying so but truly, humanity or America’s idea for “equal opportunity” and such was to promote minorities and instate minority quotas, making companies hire people literally based off of their gender or race and at the same time people with disabilities are consistently paid less than the average worker. I think employment should be based more on merit and aptitude, not skin color or gender or anything else. Seeing Harley suddenly reject her old Arkham outfit reminds me of the time Capcom tried rebooting Devil May Cry. When Dante had a white wig on his head and he responded with, "never." As in saying Capcom will never come back to the original series and sticking with the reboot instead. This got so much backlash and the game so sold poorly, Capcom had to revert back to the original series with the release of Devil May Cry 5. With what's been happening with Suicide Squad, it is well deserved.
Best thing was the gay cowboy scene. In their infamous GDC presentation Ninja Theory made fun of Dante for looking like a gay cowboy (which I guess aged quite poorly), so Capcom added the Michael Jackson Cowboy dance scene to DMC5. There is another part of all of this that seems to not be getting the traction I think it deserves. Of these firms, there is Take This, who's inner workings are very similar to SBI but, they do it under the facade of helping mental health. The thing that was speculated, and to me has a lot of credibility to anyone with a good memory, is that Take This, by virtue of receiving reports of mentally unhealthy situation, used some of the situation they were privileged to to blackmail AAA studios. We had a "misogyny" epidemic in about all the biggest studios within the past 4-5 years, while they were at their most profitable... And it is to keep in mind that these "firms" being affiliated with the likes of Blackrock and Vanguard makes the whole picture extremely shady.
The solution to this is so easy: Don´t buy AAA on release, just wait a few months or buy used. Starve them of your money and they will stop insulting us. If just 10 to 20 percent of gamers did this it would make a big difference.

The REAL problem with black characters in games is the hair options. Not a lack of black characters, but a lack of proper hair options, facial hair included. That's my only gripe. Why even have the skin tone and the only hair options I have don't reflect my culture. I end up mostly just going with a ceasar or a baldy.

But I can say off the top of my head, The movie Annie, the Little Mermaid, Slugsworth in Wonka, the main character from Don’t tell mom the babysitter is dead. I could keep going, this has been going on for a long time actually. You can find older movies where the agenda wasn’t so obvious. For example, the original Dr. Doolittle was white. Then he was replaced with Eddie Murphy. That happened a few times in the 1990’s with different movies that were remade from the 1940’s and 50’s. I’m sure if you looked into it, you could find many more examples than I have given you.

I can’t help but think this situation will never actually be resolved. You’ll get dogpiled for saying so but truly, humanity or America’s idea for “equal opportunity” and such was to promote minorities and instate minority quotas, making companies hire people literally based off of their gender or race and at the same time people with disabilities are consistently paid less than the average worker. I won’t deny that there is a unique struggle you can and WILL face being transgender, LGBTQ, a woman, etc. and I will likely never know what that is like. However, basically guaranteeing people jobs based on minority status and diversity only creates a rift between minorities and non-minorities. I think employment should be based more on merit and aptitude, not skin color or gender or anything else. I don’t know how many people realize this but minorities make the big bucks, especially in politics spaces but they only generate money, they don’t receive it. I’ll call this the Minority Economy. Basically, the bald bug-eye salamanders wear human skin suits in Silicon Valley are just using minorities to make themselves more money. I just hope people start to realize the difference between equality and equity.

Seeing Harley suddenly reject her old Arkham outfit reminds me of the time Capcom tried rebooting Devil May Cry. When Dante had a white wig on his head and he responded with, "never." As in saying Capcom will never come back to the original series and sticking with the reboot instead. This got so much backlash and the game so sold poorly, Capcom had to revert back to the original series with the release of Devil May Cry 5. With what's been happening with Suicide Squad, it is well deserved.

I'm keeping my own "list" of developers and games I won't be purchasing due to their involvement. I don't want forced diversity. I want natural diversity (And if the game in question's story is based in a place that dosn't have natural diversity, I don't want it shoehorned in). I don't want characters being painted black. I want characters that were going to be black (or any race for that matter) from the start because the game's story dictates it. I don't want a game to be based on checklists. I want games that allow its writers' creativity to be the driving point of its narrative.
I know it's very, very, very easy to put the entirety of the West coast in the same bubble as these extremely loud, overly conceited people. But I can promise you the majority of us normal joe schmoes disagree with these stereotypes and just want to enjoy things like everyone else.

Step 3: Profit (Ideally using a monetization system that isnt complete nonsense, please...)
Combine the above with active post-launch development and/or mod support, and your game will continue to do well for years to come.

There is another part of all of this that seems to not be getting the traction I think it deserves. Of these firms, there is Take This, who's inner workings are very similar to SBI but, they do it under the facade of helping mental health. The thing that was speculated, and to me has a lot of credibility to anyone with a good memory, is that Take This, by virtue of receiving reports of mentally unhealthy situation, used some of the situation they were privileged to to blackmail AAA studios. We had a "misogyny" epidemic in about all the biggest studios within the past 4-5 years, while they were at their most profitable... And it is to keep in mind that these "firms" being affiliated with the likes of Blackrock and Vanguard makes the whole picture extremely shady.
The solution to this is so easy: Don´t buy AAA on release, just wait a few months or buy used. Starve them of your money and they will stop insulting us. If just 10 to 20 percent of gamers did this it would make a big difference.

A RUclipsr named OverlordDVD has some people inside Hollywood who said the DEI is a bullshit front. He recently released a video going into it, but the TLDR is their making the movies/TV shows/video games for themselves and their friend group. And when it doesn't go according to their plans, they fall back on the DEI (or DIE as I prefer) as a failsafe.

But I can say off the top of my head, The movie Annie, the Little Mermaid, Slugsworth in Wonka, the main character from Don’t tell mom the babysitter is dead. I could keep going, this has been going on for a long time actually. You can find older movies where the agenda wasn’t so obvious. For example, the original Dr. Doolittle was white. Then he was replaced with Eddie Murphy. That happened a few times in the 1990’s with different movies that were remade from the 1940’s and 50’s. I’m sure if you looked into it, you could find many more examples than I have given you.
