This artist is called Karen Hollingsworth. I have some of these paintings on my walls and could hardly believe it when I saw her beautiful art accompanying Chopin, my favourite composer. A perfect waltz that touches my soul. Thank you for this wonderful combination❤
It is wonderful how the images giving to Chopin whole a dimension: light, air, sea, movement sensations ... fragile, softy emotions, feelings .... Life.
I think Arrau's version is by far the best interpretation of this Waltz . Lisista and Kissin's versions are unnecessarily fast and Ashkenazy, Rubinstein are too soft and a bit dull for this piece. From Arrau you can feel how beautifully this piece describes love. Sometimes calm but often restless and excited, sometimes happy but more often excited and anxious and melancholic. It was written when Chopin was 19 yrs old and this version reflects that energy of being that young as well, compared to other interpretations.
To me, music is one of the most amazing ways the "spirit" or "god" express itself. And with this particular melody, I can see my mother playing this song at home when I was a child. She past away some years ago. Pure state of longing, and a feeling she is here somehow.
Frédéric Chopin - Waltz No. 10 in B minor, Op. 69 [HD 1080px] Frédéric François Chopin (22 February or 1 March 1810 - 17 October 1849), born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin, was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era, who wrote primarily for the solo piano. Claudio Arrau plays Chopin - Waltz No.10 in B minor, Op. 69... with images of art by Karen Hollingsworth born in 1955, living in Atlanta, Ga. Hollingsworth is known for her unique light, airy "windowscapes". In the past the artist painted interior spaces, now she includes an open window that acts as a portal into the space beyond. Her large oil paintings often depict subject matter that is fairly minimal, chairs and ordinary interior settings, however what attracts many viewers is the mysticism evoked by the movement of the air and the ocean breeze through the curtains. For Karen, a painting is about the feeling it evokes. Although there are no figures present in her windowscapes, it is difficult to deny the implications of vacant chairs in such an empty space. Karen is interested in creating the impression of looking through that room and seeing the view outside the room. ruclips.net/video/n76wofQ_8h4/видео.html
Claudio... I bow to your artistry... immensely beautiful and touching. It's like dancing with sort of shadow and then disapperaing.... slowly, inevitably. Maybe death is approaching...
Nice world, even if lonesome. Walls, chairs longing for people, windows invitingly open to the presence of the world... Isn't that kind of (just one possibility) what we look like inside. With the soul as touchingly gentle and beautiful as this Chopin's waltz played by Arrau's inspired, masterful hand.

Selva Keles Did you just day 19 years old???
Gotta be honest, this is for sure the best interpretation I've heard, but the song it's actually fast, the time in the coutes say that
Very philosophical interpretation. I like it!
Pure magic, drifting cascades of light, and sound. So beautifully executed with senstitivity and movement.
Splendida interpretazione ❤
The brain of a scholar and the heart of a poet, Chopin is an inspiration to the human race as a collective.
one of the best humans that ever lived and those will know for eternity
