I hope you enjoy this completely original and exclusive story that I have written myself! Please let me know in the comments what you think, and if you would like a 'Part Two' 🖤
Let's go! I love your content. Original makes it even better. 🎃
Yes a Part 2 is definitely needed!
Yeah, it was awesome. How is part 2 coming along?
@@Xander-gu4eu Great to hear! I've got a list of story ideas, and Part 2 is certainly on there! I'll be picking it up to write soon, watch this space 🖤
You caught the whole sinister, melancholy vibe spot on.
Yes, please, to part two.
Having the protagonist return is a brilliant way to introduce plots real and imaginary.
First time listener and I'm subbing straight away.
Nice to hear an imaginative story based on Flannan Isles tragedy.
Excellent story, a really nice to tribute to one of my favourite nautical creepy stories. Keep 'em coming please!
Thanks very much!!
What a fantastic story! 43 minutes went by so quickly! Yes please to a part two or continued series 😊❤
I like your narration style, voice tone etc. Subbed. It'll be fun watching your channel grow. Cheers
Thank you! Great to have you with us
Really enjoying your narrations, keen for part 2 😊
Discovered this channel a few weeks ago, I really like the way you deliver the stories! Hello from Malaysia 👋
Thank you! 🖤
Now that is a bad ass story. Told by a bad ass narrator!!! Great job my friend ❤
Thank you very much! 🖤
Can I say 'yes' to a Part 2 pre-emptively? 😁
And it's a long story too, excellent, more spoiling us 🖤
You certainly can! 😉
@@macabrehorrorYT 🥳🥳
I like how it’s based on the real life Flannan Islands mystery; though that is steeped in mystery, they were most likely swept away by a rogue monster wave.
I particularly appreciate this story because I spent 20 years in journalism. I luckily got in when it was still a fairly strong profession ... but I was still in it when it began to die. Sometimes I'm sorry I wasn't able to stay in it (I was part of a major layoff -- 600 people at one swoop) but given what's happened to it, I can't say I'm as sorry as I might otherwise have been..
I love love this story. Very well written and narrated. Is there a possible Part 2? I'd like to see our reporter go back and discover more of the story. 😊😊
Thank you very much! I'm so glad you liked it. I did write it with a part two in mind, so watch this space 🖤
This feels Lovecraftian in a way. I love that after this I want to know what this paranormal thing mentioned is, but it is only up to my imagination only. It’s like the unseen thing at the end of “In the Mountains of Madness”
Thats really cool! Ive been trying my hands at writing a lighthouse story too!
It wasn't a bad story. Probably would've been better a bit quicker because while it was well written it could've had a more interesting plot
I agree! The story is quite good but the plot and the fear are not that engaging. But I really liked the story idea! Strongly request a part 2
Okay, I'm back. Last time I tried to listen to this story I fell asleep. (This means it's a good story) Let's see if I can finish it this time haha
I'm on my 4th and last listen to finish the story. A sign of a good story and storyteller.
He has a really relaxing voice, doesn't he? 🙂
Wow ! Great story and great narration. Cant wait for part two.
Loved the story and your narrative voice is amazing
Thank you!
Those god damn O'Driscolls
🌊 *AbSEAlutely SINsational* 🌊
-I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, & again…
*Nautical Stories, fiction & non,*
*are my absolute most favorite!!*
*Especially Nautical/Ocean Horror!*
- My love for all things Nautical, actually kicked off because of The Smalls Lighthouse and the Flannan Isles Lighthouse.
- Two, very tragic events, that continue to haunt people till this very day.
» Did you find inspiration from these two stories?
~P.S.~ PART 2, PLEASE?!? 🥹
*EDIT* ~ I forgot to add, that, the music and rain is EXCEPTIONAL!
That's a very good spot! I did actually base this story on the Flannan Isles Lighthouse disappearances, it's a very fascinating story. And yes, I will be starting work on part two very soon 🖤
Always a fan of journalist protagonists. One of many ambitions I used to cling to was to become an investogatove journalist. Sadly an occupation that exists in name only unless you have enough weight behind your name to gain a sort of borderline immunity within the US now. Unless I want to write the press equivalent of fellatio for congressmen and corporate scumbags its been overrun by clickbait and tabloid fodder. Wasn't the most relevant aspect to the story but any time I can immediately connect with a protagonist the story is already in a favorable light. Really enjoyed this.
Great to hear, thank you! I certainly wrote this in mind of having the protagonist in a series of stories, so I'm glad this helped you to connect with him better
Whatever you do, don't stop writing. For me, after being jaded by so many boogeymen and monstrosities the most effective horror is that which can throw me in to the environment. You've got the perfect blend of environmental description, tone setting and tension building going. I can genuinely close my eyes and picture the scenes you depict. A lot of western writers miss the importance of atmosphere and setting the scene for contemplation.
This sounds a bit fluff but it is accurate. To put it hopefully more direct, placing me in the shoes of an everyman and lulling me to a pacified state leads into suspension of disbelief when the scare finally comes. Slowly mounting dread is more impacful than throwing me in to the mix with an instant juxtaposition to my mundane reality which seems to be more common than not with so many stories I've read in recent years.
Why didnt he take the book an bring it to public light?
Absolutely brilliant. Loved it. A definite yes to a part 2 and maybe even more. Great job. If you ever write a book, I will definitely buy it 👍👍👏👏👏🙂😊🥰💕
Thank you so much! I'm certainly looking at getting self-published once I've got enough good stories 🖤
This story is making a very thinly veiled reference to the real life Flannan Island Lighthouse. It’s 3 keepers mysteriously disappeared in a storm in 1900.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flannan_Isles_Lighthouse
Yes it is - It's one of my favourite unsolved mysteries, and inspired this story!
I LOVE YOUR VOICE!
Thank you so much! 🖤
Oh yes, we do need a conclusion to this. Maybe send 3 men back to the island to duplicate the misadventures of the original 3 lighthouse keepers? Just a thought.
This.story sounds so familiar, Idk where I heard something like it.
I took inspiration for this story from the real life Flannan Isle Lighthouse disappearances, so that might be why it sounds familiar 🖤
Is this based on the Missing Lighthouse keepers from Scotland?
It is, it's one of my favourite mysteries.
@@macabrehorrorYTAwesome story! And yes that event haunts me
Flannan lighthouse are you sure you aren't copying that story??
I'm quite open that this story is based upon the real life event of Flannan Isle 😊 Please read my replies to other comments here
❤😮😮😮❤
Is this the one about defecation that Talemaster did?? Lmao
This is a fascinating story, I would love a part 2..Very much enjoyed this one. Thanks ❤
Very glad you enjoyed it! I'd like to see if I can make this character a recurring protagonist, so am certainly considering it! 🖤
Well narrated as always what a voice - keep them coming completely hooked❤
Fancy not taking the missus on a weekend break....
You return again...and you ain't coming back sonny.
Great story! A part 2 would be awesome!
Outstanding and yes to a part two!
