What a transformation sweet girl!!! I was so happy to see a video from you, i've enjoyed all your furniture flips/techniques so very much, but this dresser came out absolutely stunning!! A job well done!!
I feel like I needed to see your video today; it gave me the "giddy-up" I needed to push through on an issue I'm dealing with. I am also grateful that these romantic pieces are again making a come-back. I have curved tiger oak pieces with serpentine mirrors that were found in the dump by a good friend's grandfather during the Depression (that she blessed me with!) which I have enjoyed for many years. May your friend also enjoy many years of the labor of love you presented her with! 🥰
So good! It took days for me to remove a crackle finish off the tops of 2 nightstands. I thought "How hard could it be to do just the tops?" Stripper (2 types), carbide scrapers, tons of sandpaper to get it back to plain old pine. I agree, never again!
Sab! I felt so bad for you! That was a very difficult job to do. But once again YOU prevailed! So I know how you got discouraged, but you are such a talented ARTIST, that you just can't stop! The world needs you to make it beautiful again! I have so much respect for you! Keep up with the Awesome work!
Oh my goodness that’s just so pretty!! I can absolutely see why you were so over it by the time you got to the finished piece 😣 I’ve been there! Thank goodness you stuck it out because you are just way too good at what you do 😊❤️❤️
Now, that was a great transformation. The uglier it is at the begining the better for a great flip. I know it takes longer to do and more work but the results are soooo satisfying. You are a miracle worker. Nice.
Oh wow Sab, you absolutely transformed this piece!! Well done for not giving up and persevering…I’m sure if these drawers could thank you, they would! 😍👏🤩
I’m usually not a fan of painting furniture, but I can understand the logic behind painting this piece. The veneer repairs would’ve been worse than removing that 🤬 paint! I absolutely LOVE the guilding wax! I actually squealed with joy when you used it on the stencil, and the hardware and trim just followed logically afterwards. The decoupage design is such a great match for the paint colors you chose.
I just redid a set of FP nightstands. Not the original matched one had an extra think antiqued coat. Just the damn gold white is hard enough to get off. I'm done with this style if it's already painted.
Oh wow, you are a really good friend, that looked like a nightmare. But, in the end look at the beautiful piece it turned out to be. Love the color combos with the added transfer and the inside of the drawer sides. Well done sabrina!
Talk about breaking you I don't do furniture but I did my son's guitar it took me 3 weeks it had layers of the original paint then he primed added some kind of special glitter paint then forgot about it after all the hard work of repainting I did use Annie Sloan but that darn guitar broke me I literally had to use a wrist brace NEVER AGAIN 😂😂😂 this piece looks fabulous 😊
@@SabsRehabs I think we keep going cause 1 stubbornness!! this piece is not going to win. 2 I will make it beautiful again. Ps I sure did your signature trademark Buff it!! 😂😂
Superbes travail felicitation madame j'aime beaucoup cette transformation et la couleur est magnifique avec l'ajout de cette décalque c'est wow wow wow 💚💚💚😘👍
Put on the stripper and place a piece of saran ( cling wrap plastic ) on it.Don' paint it please😢😢😢.A nice light tan wash and then seal.Done.Never give in or up.Spend 15 mins daily. Its then done in a week or 2😂
See I think I’m strange, I LOVE the stripping process and am pedantic about getting it all out/off. I like the doing up process too just not as much. Maybe I should offer stripping alone to furniture artists? 😂😂😂. This is worth all your effort - stunning! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Haha! You would probably get some clients doing that! I don't mind the process, it is the cost of the product now. 1 gallon of stripper is $70 in my area. I refuse to pay that.
Labor of love (or just labor lol) but that furniture transformation was over and beyond what anyone could wish for. Very beautiful Well done!
Thank you so much ❤️

Loved the last bit of gilding and your restraint to stop when it was just enough. What a transformation!

Turned out to be beautiful
Thank you 😊
Wow Sab!! So Happy that you did not give up on this Beauty!! Loving that green (fav color) & the transfer with the gold accents!!❤
Thank you Cathy!
If a primer was used before crackle paint, would that be easier to take off?
It was, and no it didn't make it easier to take off 😌
Lovely work a pleasure to watch 💚
Many thanks

Thank you so much 😀
Absolutely incredible ❤❤❤
Thank you
What sander and sanding pad did you use at the end of stripping dresser
I have a SurfPrep sander and I used a 120 grit sanding screen on the flat parts and a foam abrasive pad for the curvey parts
Gorgeous and inspirational how you stuck with it!! 🎉🎉
Thank you so much!
That is amazing. What do you charge to strip and refinish a piece like that??❤
$400
Have you ever thought about testing for lead paint first on something like this? Might want to, just to be safe!!
I do when I feel the need to
Sorry but I laughed a couple times while you were struggeling w/ this piece. The end result is beautiful!
I laughed myself, at miserable situation. It's the only thing you can do 🤣
Stunning!
Thank you!
Oh my this was bad. Crackle paint has glue in it. You pulled it off tho. Its beautiful!
Oh thank you!

I don't buy painted furniture to refinish any more for just this reason. I understand you didn't plan this, just commiserating.
Yah it was awful! Recommend 0/10 🤣
