I admire and respect Josh so much for taking charge during the interviews that Ty might be having an off day
I also love that Josh knows this isn't the time or place to make up a silly story about how they met. I think it speaks volumes that in every other interview they make something up but in this one they didn't. (can you tell I watch this interview literally all the time? it's my fave. oops sorry not sorry)

Can anyone else just imagine Tyler asking Josh, prior to the interview, to answer the questions because he was feeling really tired and sort of down. Like a really cute small bean just asking his bud to answer the questions because he didn't have the energy and Josh, being all concerned and protective, didn't even give it a second thought he was just like "of course."

+Samara C I think they're really good at noticing when the other has anxiety or is rundown and will take the lead accordingly, or share the spotlight if both of them are up to it.
My best friend has become attuned to when I'm stressed or panicky and will do the same. I love seeing the connection and care between the two :)

Omg I just can't get over how good of a friend Josh was. He gets so nervous talking in interviews but he the whole thing because Tyler was so upset. And I don't know it just makes me so happy. l-/

I think they didnt joke around because tyler was either too tired or upset. And it would have been wrong to joke around in that mood. I think Josh told the real story for Tyler's sake. Also they tend to be more serious with this interviewer. I watched an interview 1 on 1 with him and tyler, and dang was it deep. But it was also a really inspiring interview and a lot of people's favorite interview. I think its because this interviewer asks the deep serious questions that create beautiful answers. also because the interviewer isnt doing it like a Q and A, but more like a conversation where they are trying to find out about them.

Kaitlyn Life jokes typically do not translate languages and cultures. I imagine you do it once and it's super awkward and come off as aloof and dickish. Not a good approach to building a foreign audience

its amazing how since Tyler is most likely tired or not feeling the best, Josh took the lead of the interview even though he has said before he gets really nervous talking in front of others. i love this band.
Josh is such a good best friend. I think he noticed how tired Tyler was and gave all the replies. But no complaints here, it's nice to hear a lot from Josh.

One of the most honest Twenty One Pilots interviews, with both of them. I think this stems from a most excellent interview with Tyler in Feb 2014. He was clearly impressed at the research and intelligent and considered questions the interviewer asked. Wouldn't be surprised if they agreed to another honest interview because of how well the other one went :)

It seems tyler really likes being interviewed by this person. In all of them, he is either listening or talking from his heart. No sassiness or sarcasm.. I love watching these interviews. Making a guy like tyler feel comfortable And open up seems almost impossible if you are not a close friend
