kaya, the only person talking about death, after just admitting that people getting sick is bad, even if they survive "Yeah but 15,000 cases doesn't mean 15,000 deaths!"
in his defence deaths do matter a lot more as if people are getting the virus and living through it they’re probably have immunity which is a good thing.
getting infected may not necessarily be a negative thing for you depending on your body’s immune system, if your 70 then sure it’s probably bad but if your a healthy 25 year old it’s immunity
@@quietkid3052 We're not talking about other episodes. You can make that argument any time someone says something stupid because life is long and we've all said dumb shit. In this case, it's Kaya saying the dumb shit. You don't have to always blindly defend people just because you like them.
Kaya kept suggesting that people who are concerned about the virus are misinformed, yet he kept twisting charlie's words to make his own point. ex: kaya saying charlie said 3 million cases = 3 million deaths when charlie clearly didn't even hint that. He made a really bad take, and it really takes away from his credibility.
Greasy Moth I definitely don’t think he’s wrong all the time. Half the time, I think he brings up valid points. But the thing is that he was extremely defensive in this one, to the point were he contradicted himself. I still think he’s a smart dude but yeah this one makes me think a hair different because it was just such a strange hill to die on
Greasy Moth except he constantly does this. Every stance he makes he does in bad faith. He makes up his mind on something based off of one or two articles that support his belief, without reading ACTUAL studies on the topic. He’s always spouting bullshit based on his FEELINGS rather then factual studies and data. No one on the podcast ever has the balls to call him out on it up until this point.
The thing is isn’t even having a bad take Andrew has bad takes but he’ll go into detail and compromise and see fault in points to eventually have almost like a middle ground It’s the fact Kaya was 100% not budging on a topic that he clearly didn’t know what the focus was I forget which episode it was, I think it was where they talked about Charles Manson so at least after 142ish but I listened live once through Discord, and I forget the actual argument (so take this with a grain of salt) but Kaya had an argument with Charlie mid episode that they cut to the point Kaya said to cut it out of the episode. I’m interested to see why this got left in since if I was Charlie, I’d cut it since it doesn’t really add much and is just a circle jerk that leads nowhere from Kaya

He's actually right on a lot of points. I'm not saying it's not real and we shouldn't cover up. But the US does test more than any other country, it is incentivized in hospitals to have covid patients and overall it's over politicized. They literally made fun of the protests to reopen businesses and defended the blm protests which both are probably a factor in the covid spike and the article Kaya is referring to is real. He did go off into a rage fueled tangent but he was getting dog piled on and mocked which is why I'm assuming he got so defensive.
@@gentlemankaiju1997 the president has said he slowed down testing because the numbers make him look bad as a president and hurts his chances a reelection. We just have a bit more infections than reported And as Charlie said our cases are still rising.
@@gentlemankaiju1997 the reason why hospitals get given more money for covid patients is because its literally costs more to treat them. All the equipment they need just for one is expensive, and still even with that incentive our hospitals and Medicare system are still underfunded
@@gentlemankaiju1997 the difference with the protests were that the anti quarantine people literally didn't take any steps into protecting themselves or others. They wore no masks, no social distance, nothing, and they were fighting for a stupid cause. Where as the BLM protesters did were masks and social distance (I would know I've been to 12). But the protests on either cause aren't the cause for the spike. The spikes are caused from states still kowtowing to the president and trying to open way to early against nearly every medical professional's warning.
@@gentlemankaiju1997 but even taking your comment into account America a first world country I live in, should've never been this high in its infection rates. We should've never politicized the virus or wearing masks. This shit is stupid to the point where we have another depression in our view as 30% of renters haven't paid rent, they're thinking about cutting the stimulus check down to 200, they still wont cancel in having to pay rent (which those two would've helped people self quarantine, as they have enough money to live if they were given more) and out of all of this the president might pass a bill that gives the rich 2 trillion in tax cuts. And now goya is somehow a new face of a culture war this ahit is ridiculous.
I think what kaya was trying to say was that just because we have more cases doesn’t mean we have the most cases, we just have more testing that comes out positive, other countries probably aren’t testing as much as us so they don’t have as many cases, even though they probably have more people positive
Kaya’s point about: “it doesn’t matter how many people got cancer, it only matter how many people die from it” is so stupid Once you have been diagnosed with cancer, you are affected for life. My family member got breast cancer and she had to get treatment that made her substantially weaker (she was a very fit and healthy person). Her weakness gave her depression and paranoia, and she had to take anti hormonal tablets at a time when she should have been takin hormonal tablets. She slept around 3-4 hours a day because of the anti hormonal tablets and the sweating they caused in the night. She couldn’t even get treatment with medical cannabis for her insomnia that lasted many years because medicinal cannabis is illegal in the uk She did not want to think about getting cancer ever again so she had to get another surgery to cut out her other breast. Kaya should just shut up coz he clearly knows nothing about what he is saying... pretty much ever. He should at least do some research. But I swear he always does this: - not doing any research whatsoever - having an extremely strong opinion on the topic EDIT: some people thought that I was comparing COVID 19 to cancer and taking kaya’s stuff out of context. At 1:18:24 he literally says “it doesn’t matter who gets cancer it just matters who dies from it”
agreed. this actually really annoyed me. he came off extremely disrespectful. he kept calling them ‘cringe’ but im pretty sure everyone listening was cringing over what he was saying.
Did you use his argument that has nothing to do what you just said a reason to talk about your auntie's cancer? You're comparing the flu to cancer right now. Nobody gets cancer and just walks it off. That happens 99% of the time with corona.
You are completely disregarding the economical effect of the lockdown and change of behaviour. Many people got laid off and the country had to take on a lot of debt. An economic downturn affects people too and even their children will have to pay the dept off. Most people who test positive don't even notice that they have the virus anyway, so it probably won't affect them for live.
I really can’t comprehend what Kaya’s is saying. It sounds like he’s just trying to brag about his country and put down America, even though his point is that they’re too harsh on themselves in America? I also don’t get why he started a heated debate out of thin air...
Worst thing is that he said "death rates are the important one" or something along those lines. The death rate may be important but if anybody gets the virus (child, adult, elderly, etc) it can lead into having a bad lung for the rest of their life. So saying that having that it doesn't matter how many people get it is ignorant
He was started off with a America just wanting to be number 1 on everything and then a bunch of loud noises happened and he lost where he was going with his statement
He says it cuz America tends to lie about the cases as well, if you haven't heard hospitals are designating any and all deaths in the hospital as covid deaths no matter how they died, deaths matter because they gauge just how dangerous it is and if it's even necessary to shutdown with the only justification being the cases are going up even though the deaths are going down. We don't need anymore shutdowns they don't work, the same scientists who tell you the "facts" also said that the shutdown was never to prevent spread it was to slow it down as to not overwhelm the healthcare system which that didn't work at first and now the hospitals are empty as shit cuz a bunch of people got laid off. Its more sensical to realize that the shutdowns hurt more than help. Just look into all the side affects of it too. Millions more are going homeless and starving from the shutdowns cuz of the loss of jobs and access to certain business
@@BuffyvampireslayerRX death are not the only thing that matters when it comes to statistics. If you go on a respirator for two weeks that's not a fun experience. Also, America has the most Covid cases. Although China is most likely hiding their true amount and India is most likely not taking accurate data.
@@shaunlevin5081 also to add to that having the virus can lead to lung issues that will damage the lung for the rest of the life. So when he says it doesn't matter if kids get it, it does matter.
@@shaunlevin5081 Just pointing out that using the metric "has the most cases" is pretty silly. I'm not saying it's not bad in the US, it certainly is, but if you're going to use a general statistic for showing how bad a country is, use a "per million" stat or something. If a make-believe country of 100 people had 100 cases, it would look GREAT using your metric of "most cases/least cases", or if a country of 100 trillion people had 100 million cases, it sounds bad, but in reality is great. Of course those are extremes, but it gets the point across. For example the US last time I checked was like 8k per million, and Sweden (I think) was at like 6k. Also Russia for sure lying.
Kaya made a few good points about Corona but kept getting side tracked. He was right that America is not unique in cases and how many countries simply aren't testing and reporting like China. Also he's right that America has over politicalized it.
I didn't mind Kaya's weird POV with coronavirus until he said that India doesn't have cases...yo they're literally third in the world right now and its steadily increasing

Gosh I'm so glad I got to listen to Kaya's brainlet takes on Covid-19; my expectations are low every time he opens his mouth, yet he always manages to disappoint me.
What the hell is Kaya even going on about anymore? Every time I try to come back to watching this podcast he goes off on some poorly researched vague rant that rambles back and forth and doesn't end until it gradually migrates to a point where everybody else is just forced to agree with him. I don't know if it's him that's changed since the start of this podcast or me, but I'm getting to a point where it is just physically painful to listen to anything he is saying. I think I'd be able to deal with it if it was just the boys alone, but I just feel so bad for the guests they have on, having to deal with this guy they just met yelling about some random topic. I know I'm gonna get some shit like "well if you don't like it just don't listen; I like Kaya's retard ramblings," but I really did use to love this podcast, and I want to hope that I will get that same feeling sometime in the future, but for now, it feels like it's going the way of the H3 podcast.
Don't lump them all in, Kaya started a dumbass argument and had no real point and was flat out wrong and the others were just trying to point out how batshit he was being.
@@TheFlawedPlan Not true, they were all bad hosts for what they did with a guest on. Jackson saved it by asking the question, but that whole 7 minutes was them being bad hosts. I agree with kaya in the argument, but they shouldn't have had it with a guest on.
Kaya...new york has been much better for quite some time now Florida has dramatically surpassed in cases. And just in the last week Florida itself has had more cases than all of Canada here since the start.
I thought Kays was being goofy this episode, but 'goofy' is literally what makes this podcast great. Not to mention how his entire argument was directed towards something else, and was just misunderstood
Man the end of this was almost hard to watch. Kaya, in case you see this, just know that Germany had 534 new cases yesterday while Florida alone had 13,965 new cases. Like Charlie said, just because it isn’t happening as badly for you doesn’t mean dumb dumb America can handle it any better.
It doesn't help that Germany's population is 4x larger than Florida's population and yet Florida has 28x more new cases? I can't wrap my head around what Kaya's point was.
@@xPhobiex Florida is currently at it's peak of the coronavirus. At it's peak, Germany had almost 7,000 new cases. Florida is doing more testing than Germany. Germany does approx 80,000 tests per million people and Florida does approx 140,000 tests per million people. So Florida is doing worse than Germany, but a lot of other countries are doing worse than Germany. Also, Florida is not doing as badly as you make them out to be.
Two years later and I think kaya was kinda right because if I'm right florida did better than new York and California who both quarantined alot more while still having more cases. Also we Americans do over critique ourselves sometimes.
I kinda get Kaya's point, but I feel like he's going to and agaisnt the current on the covid thing at the same time, but I think he's lost on the information part
He is spot on that Covid is being used as a political weapon, especially by the Democrats (I'm in the middle, criticize Trump where it's valid, but the Democrats have been shown to be fucking around playing politics rather than addressing the issue).
@@Phaedrus143 you're definitely projecting your own beliefs on Kaya's mute non points. He didn't say any of that. Even if he did your point is still ridiculous. It's political because it literally should be. A worldwide pandemic that is affecting the U.S. hardcore should absolutely be a political topic. Don't make it into some "my side good, your side bad" B.S.
@classictvguy1 Yeah, that's exactly it, on one side, his point was that America is not doing as bad because countries like China or India aren't really showing what their cases are (Most likely worse but we'll never know, at least on this life time probably) but then he's saying that covid's not as bad as it seems like if looking at deaths, however at the same time he says that it's stupid the way americans act towards the whole lockdown, and then he said that it wasn't even needed. I feel like he got his arguments crossed at one point and then flipped, which is why it sounds like he's not making sense.

So this is why they've been trying to avoid any related topics concerning the virus or anything that has to do with the US' politics.
That Kaya rant at the end is fucking historic, he literally went on an unprecedented, ungodly waffling spree
I think what kaya was trying to say was that just because we have more cases doesn’t mean we have the most cases, we just have more testing that comes out positive, other countries probably aren’t testing as much as us so they don’t have as many cases, even though they probably have more people positive
Kaya NEEDS to learn to get his points across better then because right now he sounds like an IDIOT.
Kaya’s point about: “it doesn’t matter how many people got cancer, it only matter how many people die from it” is so stupid
Once you have been diagnosed with cancer, you are affected for life.
She couldn’t even get treatment with medical cannabis for her insomnia that lasted many years because medicinal cannabis is illegal in the uk
She did not want to think about getting cancer ever again so she had to get another surgery to cut out her other breast.
Kaya should just shut up coz he clearly knows nothing about what he is saying... pretty much ever. He should at least do some research. But I swear he always does this:
- not doing any research whatsoever
- having an extremely strong opinion on the topic
EDIT: some people thought that I was comparing COVID 19 to cancer and taking kaya’s stuff out of context.
Silq what😂😂
You are completely disregarding the economical effect of the lockdown and change of behaviour. Many people got laid off and the country had to take on a lot of debt. An economic downturn affects people too and even their children will have to pay the dept off. Most people who test positive don't even notice that they have the virus anyway, so it probably won't affect them for live.
@@mandymaurier5084 Lovely, some dumbass who can't have a discussion just says what with a couple emojis.
This is kaya we’re talking about, I’m not surprised
Thomas sowell and yuri were right about communist subversion tactics
This reminds of when the podcast first started when Kaya would get super edgy and totally ruin the show. Fantastic stuff.
