Janelle has said that Kody is on board with something till he goes away for a few days and then comes back with a different tune.
I find it interesting that Kody picks the wallflower that no one ever noticed right off the bat. He found someone of least resistance. Quiet, naive, young, doesn’t take the limelight. Never dated. His personality was set early on. He wanted control from the beginning. He couldn’t be with someone that had some worldly experience, older, popular. That would be too confronting. Kody was always going to find the easy way, the comfortable way. I think he felt smart around Janelle and again Janelle was laid back, she made it easy for him. Of course we know Christine was going to give him stature. Robyn is the midlife gal. His OG’s were becoming work. They’re expecting more from him. He wanted that younger, naive, willingness feeling again. He wanted that turned on stimulus again. The OG’s were old hat now. Kody does not know how to actually love. He just wants the feeling. That’s why it’s so easy for him to dump the children. He has no connection to anyone that doesn’t serve him in some fashion that he needs or wants at any particular moment.
It makes total sense. He gets all the attention and Meri gets to be popular just by hanging with him. They complement each other. Look at Robyn early seasons she was opinonated but as the years went on she has become such a side person. Meri found her voice on the show and made her and Kody's issues worse. The anniversary dinner season 1 was Meri standing up for Christine. Meri also took Christine side about fiance time vs wife time.
I absolutely agree with both of you about the hero worship from the kids when they were small. Once the children were older and could express feelings and opinions ,Kody couldnt deal with it. He is such a narcissist, that has caused so much pain.
My theory has always been that Christine was Robin’s target on day one. Robin saw herself as this young , model, woman who is coming into this family of middle age out of shape women. She came in saying” hold my beer”Christine however was pregnant with Kody’s baby. Christine was the only one who could have possibly been competition because she was still young enough to have babies. She had to blame everything on Christine to turn Kody against her.
Narcissists thrive on being cruel. It doesn’t make sense to most people.
Truely was really cheated out of a father by Kody. She was very young and he practically ignored her and spent most of his time with Solomon and Arielle. Not to mention the near death experience she went through under his care.
100% agreed. I was so happy to hear some of Christine’s daughters say that David Woolley has been so amazing to step up and be there for Truly. Kody still has the ability to be a dad to her but even in Flagstaff, if it wasn’t made convenient for him, too bad, it’s their mother’s fault. 🙄
I doubt kody gives two figs about Truely. He seems obsessed and besotted with Robbers kids and has no interest in the non Robber kids apart from Meme-kelti, and I suspect that is because she spies for him on the family.
Such excellent points from both of you! I’m particularly impressed with Jenny’s observation on Meri’s “They’re cool!” complex.
I’ve noticed throughout the entire series, even up until now, the way she looks at Robyn, the adoration, the respect of her opinions compared to her other sister wives… In fact, it seems to be the same way she acts around/interacts with Kody. Googly eyes, giggly demeanor, “whatever you want” type attitude.
I agree the ladies were so attracted to Kody that they overlooked a lot!
They were probably flattered. I hate to say this, but Kody looks better than anyone of them (although they look nice, but he was on a different level). Kody is probably well aware of this, but he got "many" (🤮).

when you do the math there is an overlap with Janelle and mystery girl. I have always felt that Kody secretly courted Janelle and that led to all the problems because that led to all the issues with Meri and Janelle. Janelle may be why mystery girl backed out the last minute.
Christine's observations about the first wife are interesting. Christine's mom was the first wife, the legal wife. Christine saw her mother's decline in preference and status from the upstairs wife with the preferred accommodations to the basement wife and the ultimate end of her marriage. Christine saw the last wife 'win the status' of preferred wife. It may not have been a conscious thought but Christine was strategizing from the beginning.

Robyn put her foot down on camera. She definitely forced kody to stay in Arizona.
It just is so astonishing to me. She was willing to stay for her kids. However, seemed all too happy. To uproot the teenagers who were thriving in Vegas.

Really liking this book review. And having you and Jenny cohost is just awesome. Both of you add your own unique, honest and entertaining twist. Kodilocks doesn't have a chance w you two! It's heart breaking to hear how Kody has always treated Christine and then later on...how he treated the kids they share. Kody will grow old alone...it's a no brainer that Robyn will kick him to the curb when the denero runs out. Kody is just one evil, hateful, angry, vile, vulgar excuse of a human being.
As a mother myself, it broke my heart to hear how Annie was afraid to warn her daughter Christine not to marry Kody. She kept her mouth shut out of fear of being shunned. She knew the misery Christine was in for, but she couldn't protect her without being pushed away. Christine was a niave 17 years old kid.
Unfortunately, I think she was a naive 30 something year old too. 😄 She needed a “Robyn” to come in and remove those blinders to the downside of polygamy that she didn’t see, even though her siblings did. 😅 My opinion is if Robyn or another wife never showed up, she’d still be married to Kody fairly happily. She was his most romantic relationship for most of their marriages.
@critiquerwhittaker agreed, Christine thought she could never get divorced after seeing her Mom suffer, but then saw Robyn thriving with her kids & a husband that actually loved her and realized she could do the same.
Robyn prolly ain’t thriving as well now that she’s lost all the income streams.

Not only does Robyn have the 4 acres on coyote pass, the house which also sits on 4 acres but 4 acres adjacent to the house plus is y’all pointed out, she now has 8 acres at coyote Pass with Kody.
You guys missed the point Christine cut off from Mary and Kody because that girl was underage and being groomed and it morally bothered her.

What has always infuriated me with Sister Wives is that none of the wives seem to speak up for each other. Was Kody such an unstable monster in “real life” that they couldn’t defend each other against his verbal attacks? The nachos are a good example. During that Tell All, he made sure to get his “I’m not attracted to you” point across - multiple times - and not a single person stood up for Christine or told Kody he was childish and petty when he wrote that in the book and continues to be childish & petty by not acknowledging how awful it was that not only did he think those terrible things about Christine, he put it in a book for all the world to see…and then went on to not only marry Christine, but to have 6 children with her.
Sobyn never felt welcome? Oh, please. That witch interprets anything less than a red carpet as disapproval. She and Kody deserve each other. There is nothing good or redeemable about either of them.
You should collaborate with More Madness when next season airs :) would make a great collab
IMO, Kody reached out to Christine as an audience. He knew that she would hang on his every word.
Christine was never built for monogamy. She is the most romantic out of all of them.
Everyone says Robin was the prettier younger version. The truth is if you don’t have a good personality. Your outer beauty struggles to shine.

Kody only put Christine down to appease Robber-Robin. Robber-Robin was jealous/threatened by Christine’s connection with Kody and how (for Robber-Robin) difficult it was to get close to Christine (to manipulate her). Kody tried to belittle Christine to give insecure Robber-Robin a sense of validation in her worth to him. (In my opinion.) IMO-Kody, Robber-Robin, and Meri are despicable! Insecure people with money or power are tools for the father of lies. UGH!

last night while you were live. i came in and when i saw what was being talked about. I thought i would help people see what they dont see on tv. I come from this lifestyle. i was born raised and married off in it. when i tried to reach out to you on that live i tagged your name and i know you saw it. nobody ever wants to talk to someone that knows the in and outs of this. theyjust like to assume what they see on tv. you were right about some but not all. anyways i was disappointed that people dont want the truth of this lifestyle. anyway. good luck to you and your channel. i wont bother you again. i just think you should be more openminded. but i am use to it. i have tried to reach out to other creators that cover this show. your not the first that ignores it. take care.
I am sure that Christine was insecure about her weight, but Meri was very thin when they were young too so I think there was something more wrong with the “New Girl” than that she was “young” and “cute”. Personally, I think that was just a Christine sugar coated statement. Where she says something nice, but if you scratch the surface compliment there is a lot more to uncover. “Too Young”, “Too Cute” IMO could have been a sweet sounding statement to actually say she didn’t like them grooming a naive teenager. So many times over the years the made mention on not being creepy like Warren Jeff’s and not wanting their daughters to marry too young etc. (think about how upset Christine was that Mykelti was getting married too young-and let down by how easy Kody gave his blessing.) I think Christine truly didn’t want Kody to be a Creepy 20 something - grooming a naive 16 year old, but new she couldn’t actually say that so “Too Young, Too Cute” was how she told the truth under a vailed compliment.
I believe I hear heard you have to have a minimum of 3 wives to reach the highest level of Heaven. I think that's why he rushed into the first 3.
