Hi fellow Discoverers. This is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours TV. Do subscribe and ring the bell if you are keen to see more of Singapore. I used binaural microphones to record the environmental sounds. So if you have a pair of headphones, do use them, it will be quite an immersive experience 😀 If you notice any interesting points in the video or want to ask about something that was caught on camera, comment with a time stamp (eg 00:01) and I will be sure to check it out. I am also interested to know where you are from 😄 so drop a comment below and say hi! If you are keen to see more of Singapore, check out my playlist below: ruclips.net/video/tnxOuQw2L5E/видео.html
Haha. Thanks Dodo 🙏 I think Japan's malls have a bit more vibrancy in them. Maybe it's because of their Japanese announcements or advertisements via the PA system that creates a sense of energy. It's been awhile since I last been in Japanese shopping mall though. Hopefully I will have a chance to film them in the near future
This walk is haha something I do quite often when I’m waiting for my wife at Starbucks at Raffles City and then I’m too early so I just walk up and down to enjoy the aircon hahaha
This is a great video of City Link and Marina Mall. I am planning to visiting Singapore next Feb, and have booked my stay at the Swissotel, and i was looking for an instructional video to show me how to get from the City Hall MRT to Marina Mall. This helps. Thank you. Do you have a video of walking from Southern Ridge through the Henderson Wave to Harbourfront MRT (Sentosa)?
Glad to hear from you Jason and I am happy to hear the video helped you. Swissotel is a fantastic place to stay and I am sure you will have a new city skyline view. Just to be sure, are you referring to Marina Square Mall? If so, then you need to exit out on the right at around 7:31. The mall that I am in is Suntec City Mall (the last part of the video). Enjoy your stay in Singapore 😄
Confirm, it is the Marina SQ mall that i was referring to in message. Regarding the Swissotel, i am definitely looking forward to my stay. For the last three years, i have been staying at the Conrad and most recently at the Marina Mandarin.
I only visit this part of Singapore when my clients are working in the area. I think they "recently" did a renovation of sorts, its seems newer than I last remembered. Either that or there are just so many more choices of food these days
@@Rob-29266 Its considered an auspicious place to have an office. So the office crowds will always be there. In Singapore, where there are people, there will be food. =D
No I don't do any post-filtering. In my opinion, I should but I don't. Which parts of the video has that high pass filter? Let me know by typing 00:01 so I can analyse
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV I think it was my mistake. I listened to a segment of the indoors recording and thought low freq noise was removed. But most indoor environments do not have much environmental noise compared to outdoors.

Looks as fancy as malls in Japan. Nice walk fellow walker

Ambient Walking omg that’s hilarious! The idea of enjoying aircon is so Singaporean.
Ambient Walking Just checked out your channel and I’m very happy to see all these views of Singapore. Thanks a lot
Ambient Walking This is such a cool walk. I assume this mall is kind of a tunnel that connects different Malls?
Ambient Walking I miss Singapore! Even the Malls! I totally understand what it means when you say ‘enjoy aircon’
Nice one.
I remembered I used to hang out at HMV in the early 2000s, its long gone now . Plain black empty corridor.
hi alan thanks for doing this walk filming. you have inspired me to do something similar. Now i feel more enriched at work.
Glad to have another Singapore walker on the streets 😄 Happy to hear you are inspired to share our Singapore videos to the world.

Just checked, you do have that walk, much appreciated.
A very informative long walk, thanks Alan, enjoyed video.🙂
Yeah although it's sadly "empty" these days with the work from home situation
Ahh wonderful ive sat there by the fountain and had a meal from Crystal jade while taking in the sights just awesome..

Loads of places to eat i was surprised by how much choice there was thanks for posting this video.

@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV always here for you.you are doing great
did u perform any post-filtering of your recorded sound? Seems like a high pass filter has been applied to get rid of environmental noise.
