Without this very important warning there's no way to tell if something is hurting or damaging your body.
Just imagine like:
Pain is like a fire alarm or a tornado alert etc., it detects when something is wrong and if WE detect it we usually do something about it. Fire alarm, we move out. Tornado alert, we find shelter. Pain, we do different actions based on how severe it is.

yeah i’m grateful too . my little cousin who’s 1 can’t feel pain. he has burnt his whole stomach with kettle water and he never felt it . there’s a mark left on his stomach and he has hurt his fingers and everything because he can’t feel anything .

And the worst part was when I would go to the hospital or doctors' office and they ask you to rate your pain from 1 to10. I always said you are asking the wrong question and person. I just learned to say a number. I am 53 and alive living well. It can happen.

If you can't feel pain then you can't feel early symptoms of something until it's too late to treat. At first glance it might seem nice, but it's more life threatening than being able to feel pain. Honestly she's not very blessed.

There are other things that could happen to your body that wouldnt show up on the outside
not feeling physical pain and not knowing you're sick isn't in the same category of "pain", from what I've read of this condition it's mostly just that the nerve endings on the skin-organ doesn't send a signal when pain is done.
There are blood tests, she just needs to do them regularly. She might have less chance of dying than you who probably rarely does tests.

I've been told all my life that I have a high pain tolerance but when you accidentally put a knife though your thumb (kitchen accident) and feel nothing and pull it out nothing . IDK what to call it. I am lucky to have people around me that tell me I need to go to the doctor. They know so to me it doesn't matter what you call it. And I've learned to use my mind instead of feel to get help. I don't have every symptom of the disease. I'm highly educated and do not self harm. I can't regulate body temperature and never feel hunger

Obviously she's here for a good reason. She needs to be protected and is a reminder of the fragility of humanity. We have pain so we can stop or prevent an injury but she has no pain and no stop button. That's sad.
