Oh, so sweet! Iriki's love for and kisses on Jabali as an infant is too precious! He held onto her brow when trying to stand and Tayari removed his little hand, but I don't think Iriki minded at all. ❤🦍❤ Love them so much!

I love how dad is just chilling with mom and the baby ♥️. Most mom’s won’t even let the dads near the babies when they’re that small so this is just so beautiful to watch!

Sonja, I really like this family! Thanks for telling me about them. D'Jeeco seems playful and sweet.( Maybe he will play with the kids like Shabani does when they get older ) Iriki loves her nephew and seems like she is thinking. "Let me cuddle that cutie! I bet I can carry him better, Sis!" LOL!" I have to go back and watch from the beginning, but they seem awesome! Thanks again! ;-) I love Iriki's sweet eyes and face. She does seem like she would be a great Mom. Yeah, Dad needs to get busy with Iriki, Jabali needs a playmate.

This is interesting. D'jeeco is close to his females compared to other male gorillas I have seen in other videos
in the wild/when patrons are gone, silverbacks typically are more affectionate.
the shallow cave is prob why we're able to see this /w D'jeeco vs. other captive silverbacks. He feels secure, whereas most other enclosures ppl can look at the gorillas from a 360 degree view, which contributes to silverback protective/territory monitoring behaviour! Shabani runs around a lot bc he's patrolling in a way, just checking things out, D;jeeco on the other hand is comfortable bc he knows no one has eyes on him from behind, so he can relax a bit more!

Eu estou assistindo esse vídeo é tenho a mesma impressão de agora, que a Iriki está deslocada, a perda de pêlo acredito que seja por estresse, deveriam ter colocado a Iriki com outro gorila, ela não consegue ficar do lado do Diego que Tayari encosta, enfim, escolhas dos homens que as gorilas sofrem.
Acompanho eles a pouco tempo , no caso ele é marido dela duas?? Eu acompanho só os do japão não sabia que ele poderia ter varias esposas ao mesmo tempo😮

They aren't in jail. They're protected and thriving in a safe environment, far from poachers, farmers, deforestation, lack of food, the illegal pet trade, civil war, etc. It IS sad that they must be protected, but I chose to be thankful that they are together, safe, healthy, and without a care in the world! And their enclosure is one of the absolute best in the world.
Ain't the other gorilla pregnant.... If she is I hope she is a good mother

That poor baby seems a bit sickly - I wish the mom would spend more time playing with and caring for him instead of denying the auntie (or whomever) ... meanwhile the silverback seems to have his world in fine comfortable order what a magnificent beast
I agree. Now I dont know this family well. But it seems like the mom ( acts like this girl I knew long long ago) somewhat ignores baby so she could be close to baby daddy- silverback. She's constantly trying to get in cave even when the silverback and the other wife (?) --are in the cave. It's like both females are competing. I felt so bad for 2nd female she tried to get in cave when mom & baby were in front of silverback--and silverback blocked --0:50-- her it seems 😪. I think she's pregnant from silverback also. I wish she would have found another man- mean gorilla. And the baby seems to really like the other female gorilla- the pregnant one- she seems motherly and seems to give baby attention.
I think mom gorilla could be going through post partum depression- because it seems like she almost wants to give baby to silverback ( or else she's totally independent--- unfortunately they have not evolved) and she keeps pushing baby away somewhat. Like most gorilla moms have babies nursing all the time. I hardly see this baby suckle. But baby daddy silverback looks like a good dad.
Who needs to watch " All my children " or any soap opera - this is alot. Long story my heart breaks for the two females. I wish I could babysit for mom until she started to feel better. I wish I could also help the pregnant female. Oh how I wished they both hadn't hooked up with same male. Being primates they are very smart and emotional. Bad thing is none of them can get therapy.
I'm not sure I want to watch more on this family. I feel very sad for mom, poor baby and pregnant female- even silverback because he looks confused (1:29 thru 1:35 he's shaking head in confusion 🙄- what have I done)and it's not like he knew better not to impregnate 2 females in the same click, circle or group etc.
I wonder how those humans who marry several wives do it? If animals are jealous- how could humans also not be jealous?

@@selah7779 LOL I think you’re assuming the worst based on one video but they’re definitely very evocative primates, very similar to we are :) To me, it looks like a very stable family group of gorillas. The females are sisters and have known each other all their lives, which is why the mother trusts her to interact with her baby. This sort of close interaction doesn’t happen if there was no trust involved - gorillas are a species with a very clear sense of personal space. I think it’s rather rare for entire family groups to snuggle so close to each-other (especially one that is relatively new!) This is only a five minute video, and we can’t assume that the baby is not suckling often ... if the baby looks like he is not doing well I’m sure their keepers will do their best to supplement for needed nutrition. In other videos, it looks like the mother (Tayari) is very active and it looked like siesta time during this video- so do not worry too much!

The best thing we can do is to try to remain as positive as possible in our own comments to leave the best impression. This way, the uploaders and other new viewers don’t feel burdened by the negativity in the comment section. This is a lovely young family, I truly believe that the harsh and alarming statements made by many are out of concern ... I hope you stay positive + safe as well 💖

Poor Jabali. Only 7 months old and his mother treats him badly. Was she too young when she had this infant? When we see how Genki is so protective of her little one, she makes this mother look very bad. Though, Genki was very much older when she has her infants.
Genki is a terrible mother She is not protective she is selfish and it's not for the care of her kids it's for her own satisfaction that she keeps them around her 24 stwenty 47 her silver background Motorola is a great father it's just a she you is so crazy personality wise that's why his father rejected her And for a good reason all she does is eat and selfishly keep the kids to herself the gorillas that are more interactive with each other each other have better relationships if she was more loving towards hit the silverback dad she'd be a better mother

Iriki is thinking, "little sister has always been crazy and her mother was a wreck, but I am sure that she will grow to love and cherish her child". But. No she will not all she cares about the child is the leverage it gives her over others and lessening the beatings she is getting.
Before I delete videos I had previously saved I always reread the comments first. As I was doing this I noticed a pattern emerging. Videos that were uploaded well over a year ago now contained multiple disparaging comments about Tayari that were all written by the same person.
IMO I’ll never understand why a person would feel the need to post such views about a species they supposedly care about. Rest assured if these types of comments were posted in real time there would be a lot of viewers disagreeing. ✌️
