There are allot of haters that try to say this bass and the newer Ultra P-J bass are crap, but Its the Best Bass ive ever owned, my brother had this bass and used it on the last album he recorded in 2021 (AUTOGRAPH) thats what got me interested, they stoped making these but the Ultra is the exact same bass. There is one song on thier latest album that starts off with Bass, and its growling a sound reminded me of John Enwistle, Christ Squire Geddy Leee. this bass is awsome

I gigged an late 2000's Red Pbass Special hard for 2 years. Exactly like this but without the switch to turn the electronics on or off. Can't beat a Jazz neck on a Pbass. 70% P/ 30% J EQ even except for a little bump in mids. Sick demo.

Great sounding bass, this is a good demo. I like this bass I hope to have it in my collection but I probably play the basses I have first. The bass has a clean pristine sound, sounds like a piano players dream.
I'm gonna order from sweet water but have you compared it to the much more expensive Elite or even an American version. You mention low beams in your info but your video says it has high beams (which I use). High or Low?
One last question, I purchased the PJ set up that your bass has from Stratosphere and will be modifying my Indonesian tele bass. Do you mind giving me the measurements from the nut to the front edge of the forward position of the split pickup and from the nut to the front edge of the Jazz pickup. OR if it's easier, to the center between the split (between both pickups) and the center of the jazz from the nut. That would be crazy cool. And yes, I've been enjoying all your videos - but I'm a long ways from doing what you do. Practice time!

@@dmbfan4lif3 it's pretty good! I like the PJ configuration very much. The only little thing that I don't find Great didn't surprise me as it corresponded to review I read. There are two things: a passive tone (i have added one) and the bridge PU which is a bit weak alone. Other than these, it s really a good bass!
It's a great video, your bass is really nice and you play fantastic. Personally I prefer the sound of the passive pickups. I have an active Ibanez BTB776 6 string and I have an inexpensive Fender Precision Affinity. For recording purposes I like the sound of my Precision better. It just cuts through better. For a live setting I think my Ibanez sounds more desirable. Thank you for posting this. I've always been curious on the sound of the Fender active pickups. The actives sound fantastic, I just prefer the passive. Lots of versatility for sure.

I love the looks of the aerodyne but unfortunately the p pickup is placed closer to the neck on an aerodyne than it is on a regular P bass. Thought I'd give you a heads up
Big Daddy [OFFICIAL] you're right. It doesn't have to be a bad thing indeed. But if you expect it to sound just like a p bass with the neck pickup solo'd you might get a little disappointed. It's really just a matter of taste and what you're looking for in a bass I guess

I have that model of bass. The P pickup is twice the volume as the back on mine. How are you getting the clarity and crunch from the back pickup? The P pickup seems to over ride the j pickup on mine. I've raised the back, and lowered the front, still no luck.

Yeah it's an active bass with batteries so my understanding of it is that the eq won't work without batteries. It's like a normal precision except a little more control on the tone. I'm not a genius on these topics so if anyone else knows something I don't feel free to correct me.

5:30 is very close to the marcus miller sound. i will be getting this bass. so versatile.

battery will still runing out as soon as you plug in, whether you don't play it or in passive mode. so remeber to plug out when u r not using it!
